They did follow you around the country and you called an Old Lady who asked a few decent questions about Labour Failings a 'Bigot'. Gordon Brown is a total nutjob, mental, completley devoid of realism. I am glad he is not holed up in his Bunker anymore while the country was on the deep dangerous path of Bankruptcy. Say what you want about the Coalition, at least they are trying to sort out the mess and live in the reality of the state of the public finances after Browns 13 year spunking session.
@vehiclesburning Just gonna say, Britain was in a surplus during 2000-2001 (if I remember correctly). The first government to achieve that in a long, long time. Gordon Brown and New Labour was working incredibly well until after that period when Brown fucked up. He fucked up. Just like the Americans in Wall Street, the bankers in London, a lot of European politicians...I don't think the state of affairs would be much different had another government been in power.
@DrAnonPony Yes. If Brown was in power we would be the same as France, Bankrupt, credit rating down graded and huge rampant inflation. Although the BBC wont want to tell you the UK is projected to be the third best economy in the Eurozone in 2012. Not that any of the die hard leftys will want to accept that.
@vehiclesburning Lol. The deficit is twice what it was with Labour, there's record unemployment, the economy's going back into recession, and Gideon is using more PFI than Labour ever did. And lol at the BBC remark, who aren't reporting anything I just pointed out. God knows where you get your info from.
@DrAnonPony I dont know where you get your facts from. Deficit? So i guess you moan about cuts and also moan about the deficit? Why dont you go and research the diference between deficit and debt. We are now round 4 TRILLION in debt because of brown, im not worrying about a 150bn deficit that will be cut in half in 5 years. The bbc put a left wing spin on everything. As a business owner i sleep better at night knowing the mental socialists are not at the helm anymore.
@vehiclesburning Ha. You thought Brown was a socialist. All Brown did was continue the "get the public to pay for our rich mate's incompetenance" thatcher started. And lol at the fact you're not worried about there being a deficit seeing how that's what creates debt. And the way things are going we'll have another trillion worth of debt in two years.
@DrAnonPony I have read many books on Brown and he was a Socialist. Say what you like about Thatcher but she stuck to her beliefs and did a dam site lot of good to save us from the destruction the again previous Labour Governments did. We wont have another trillion of debt because this coalition will bring the deficit down. Id also like a source for your 'deficit has doubled' comment because i doubind anything to back it up.
@vehiclesburning Then you might want to stop reading The Sun and read an actual newspaper that doesn't rely on capital letters, demonising foreigners, and paying off police officials to get away with whatever the hell they like. Also, lol at Thatcher saving you. I guess ruining every industry in the UK, privatising every public service and letting a Murdoch run the whole press did wonders for us! She must have been a good person when she ordered the sinking of a non-combating Argentinan ship!
@DrAnonPonyI dont read the Sun. Manufacturing was destroyed under Blair. Thatcher at least rewarded wealth creators and believed in self responsibilty which sadly labour did not creating millions of career dole wasters who sponge our huge welfare bill and produce NOTHING. I know for a lefty that will be hard for you to swallow but you dont like the TRUTH do you? Your comments are total deluded bile - sorry.
@vehiclesburning yeah, because Blair shut down the entire mining industry. And if by wealth creators you mean owners of American monopolies, which create about as much wealth as throwing money in a bin and setting it on fire. If not the Sun, then I guess the Mail or Express? If you think those filthy scroungers are bad, what do you think of the billions in tax Gideon let Goldman Sachs and Vodaphone get away with? Oh yeah, you probably never heard about that.
@DrAnonPony I dont read newspapers.Vodaphone? You mean that private company that employs thousands of people all of whom income tax and NI. what about the BILLIONS wasted by Labour with NOTHING to show for it. Vodaphones tax a tiny bit of piss in the ocean. Vodaphone would up and leave the UK sacking thousands you tool
@vehiclesburning lol yeah let's have one set of rules for global tyrants and another for everyone else. if by thousands of people you mean thousands in other countries? And if you wanna talk piss in the ocean, what about the HUNDREDS of BILLIONS avoided by the cream of the elite in the UK that the gov is happy to allow? Hell, our Chancelor's avoiding hundreds of thousands by weaselling his inheritance into a tax haven!
@DrAnonPony What a load of utter tripe. So you would glady see Vodaphone dump the UK over a few million in Tax that the left have spun all out of proportion. You have entered the politics of envy - dont get so jealous of other peoples wealth, be inspired and follow it, thats what seriously lacks in the UK. You think DC and Gideon are in politics for the money??? I think you want to go and look into the facts of your beloved Blair.
@vehiclesburning HAHA. A few million? It's BILLIONS. From a SINGLE COMPANY who makes an absolute killing. And lmao at the fact you think two Bullingdon Boy pals from millionairre families who couldn't even hold down decent jobs aren't in politics for the money. Here's how you get rich in the UK- get born into a wealthy family, ???, PROFIT!
@DrAnonPony Oh so millions of people dont start companies, work very very very hard and create wealth for UK PLC and keep a chunk for themselves. Your a deluded, knarrow minded bitter idiot who is suffering the lefist politics of envy. Keep on telling yourself some of the crap you have spouted on here tonight. Unreal. Didnt Ed Balls go to Eton and wasnt Blair privatly educated? LOL you couldnt make this up. For the record i dont even like Cameron but i keep things in perspective.
@vehiclesburning and you think I like anyone who has anything to do with Nu Labour? I even said they're all the same self entitled rich-boy scum. Tell me about some UK workers in the last few years who actually built a massively successful business from scratch...the entire system is set up keep the richest on top. The fact you keep using the term "left" leads me to believe you're what's known in politics as a useful idiot. Tell me how you know so much about politics when you dont read papers?
@DrAnonPony Your talking bollocks again. google 'UK top entrepreneurs' Loads of rags to riches storys in our country and i am proud and inspired by everyone of them.
@vehiclesburning There are plenty of young entrepreneurs, but theyre peanuts compared to sort of people getting their claws into the UK. The few entrepreneurs that actually have some significance are shitbags. Ability is irrelevant if you want to be successful. It's all about prestige. Also you've not told me how you can consider yourself well educated in politics without reading about it. Or how you can justify a non British company dogding 6bn on top of enormous profits.
@DrAnonPony Back all your ludicrous claims up with sources. You still have not qouted where you got that the coalition has DOUBLED the deficit from? Now you state this about entrepreneurs!?! Which company 'dodged' 6bn and where is your solid hard proof FFS.
@vehiclesburning debtbombshellDOTcom. also, you were about 3 trillion off your quoted figure of total debt :^)
And if you actually read the news you'd know all about Vodaphone dodging 6bn. Surely it's a coincidence Gideon has given many praising speeches on behalf of Vodaphone? And it looks like Vodaphone are at it again! (May want to look on Private Eye's website)
@vehiclesburning Front page of the Private Eye website. All is explained there. Don't recall their turnover but the 6bn was supposed to be taxed from their PROFITS. That's the sort of money we're dealing with. You'll probably find that the Tory's are loving PFI just as much if not more than Labour did.
@vehiclesburning let me know how great you think the coalition is when a global conglomerate eats your buisiness, you get cancer from an unregulated food industry and have to pay for your chaemotherapy and you're forced to work at poundland without wages if you want to have enough money to feed yourself, all while getting bricks thrown through your window for being a filthy benefit scrounger. Oh yeah, and we've had trillions of debt for years due to a little war with Germany we had.
@DrAnonPony So you compare the destruction New Labour did to our country the same as world war 2? Financially i would agree!. Oh and your PFI Comment is unsubstanted because it was the Government who signed us into PFI for the next 30 years. Oh and my business will be fine, us wealth generators sleep much better at night with Brown gone. I am not a huge of the coalition but in comparison to Labour they are 1000 times better. Your comment is drivel im afraid. We are booming.
@vehiclesburning I don't know if you noticed, but global wars are expensive and we've never paid off our debt. And do you even know what PFI is? Because Labour loved it, and the Tories love it even more.
"We are booming"? Fucking lol. Maybe if you're the owner of Goldman Sachs!
@DrAnonPony Go and research your facts you are full of shit. How much does the dole pay you these days? Yes we are Booming as a modern technologies business.
@vehiclesburning Ha. I guess that's why all of our developers run away to Canada. What sort of technology are you talking about? TVs that get made in Japan? Software developed in America and Canada? Hadware developed in China? Does David Cameron standing in a factory looking at things make us a manufacturing power? Might want to pick up a copy of Private Eye, Guardian, Independent, FT, or a kitchen towel because they're obviously more informative than what you read.
@vehiclesburning so letting a japanese country take over the british car manufacturing industry is wealth creation? lol. and damn those thousands miners having their livelihoods taken away and complaining about it! If you've ever gone to the NW or Wales you know full well what her "wealth generation" is worth.
@DrAnonPony Most of those miners would have been dead before 50 lol. Also they would have closed anyway. What you lot on the left dont understand is money does not grow on bloody tree's and is not in endless supply! Maybe instead of fucking moanig and whining some of the people should have embraced change instead of suffering a life of pity on social handouts.
@vehiclesburning yeah, they would've closed even with the massive amount of A grade coal available barely anywhere in the world...and yeah, they probably would have given the Tory's contempt for worker's rights. And i dont know if you realised, but their were communities built around industries, and once the industry is killed off, there's nothing available, and they can never recover (something you obviously dont understand)
@DrAnonPony Well go and open them then!! Maybe you will earn some quids to then spend on Champagne and sit with your socialist chums moaning about them bullingdon club boys LOL
@vehiclesburning Well I can't, because I don't happen to be the owner of a massive TNC...and you really have no idea what sort of people are actually running the country do you? That's evident from the fact you apparently don't read newspapers. How can you claim to have any knowledge of politics when you don't even read about it?
@DrAnonPony Well guess what? Neither am i. I run a small business i built from nothing and took a huge risk with a loan. I have grafted my fucking arse off and i have an average car and an average home. If Labour had their way they would take the lot from me and give it to the feckless who understand the value of NOTHING. Yes there is a lot of hardhip out there but we need to get things back to normal from the 13 year utter crazy socialist spunk fest.
@DrAnonPony I speak to Clients, Suppliers, other small business's. I see how investments are doing, where interest rates are etc. I use my eyes and ears and i do watch Sky and BBC but am sensible enough to not take everything they report as gospel. I have my own mind thanks.
@DrAnonPony Maybe if the car workers had taken pride in what they did and didnt bloody strike every 10 mins we would have a car industry. The products and build quality were SHITE while the Germans got on with the job and didnt fucking complain. Look at Audi and BMW now!! (oh and we have Nissan still, the largest and most efficient car plant in the Europe brough here by one Mrs Lady Thatcher!!)
@vehiclesburning yeah, it's entirely the worker's fault and has nothing to do with middle managers and "wealth generators". Who cares if they work long hours for minimum wage while their managers and wealth generators get rich off shody products? They should get on with it like the docile peons they're supposed to be! Who knows, perhaps the German and UK car industries operate under completely different circumstances? Also Thatcher isn't the CEO of Nissan.
well, what you are going to expect from SKY NEWS. its owned by robbert murdack a close friend of Israel an obssesed old dictator who own 80% of british media and then they say british media is free. my ass its not free its controlled by him and they are mad and bad people. what ever robert murdack see the world SKY NEWS transmit that simple as that, i hat (adam my ball) i ment adam boulton lol and also that bitch ginger pressenter too.
I thoroughly dislike Gordon Brown as a politician, have good reason to believe him to be something of an unpleasant man, but he's not the "baddie" in this interview.
And the fact that he has only one working eye is not something to be used against him like some people here are doing.
Say what you like about Gorgon Brown, but It took two public school boy brats telling lies and hoodwinking the electorate, a shed load of money from Tory millionaires, a biased Tory press and a world recession to get him out.
@newagemisfit He got himself out by being a tw*t who wasn't even clever enough to realise he had a microphone on in his car. He didn't even realise he had done wrong by removing the 10p band of tax ffs!
Oh and by the way you called him gorgon... which is rather appropriate "seeing" as he had only one eye.
@chollis54 Yes I agree! I should have said: Say what you like about Gordon Brown, but It took two public school boy brats telling lies and hoodwinking the electorate, a shed load of money from Tory millionaires, a biased Tory press and a world recession and a leaked private conversation to get him out.
@newagemisfit It says something about the weakness of the opposition, its leader and the poor, uninspiring election campaign they led as any half decent party would have wiped the floor with this unmitigated fucking disaster.
@ukipwarrior I would reply, but ''ukipwarrior''? Nah, just too ridiculous. I do not support Labour, but UKIP? Good luck with supporting them. I'd rather support Labour than UKIP.
@newagemisfit Brown is an immitation tory you fool he lies he's an mp for crying out loud but the funny thing is unlike those two public school boys you mention who are millionaires here's a question for you? Would you trust two men who can't even manage their own finances without a consultant or two that are managing their own finances? It's a simple answer really so I'll answer it for you it's No but still you vote for a one-eyed moron who can not keep the books out of the RED!!!
@2490debrick Actually, the books were well in the red when Gordon Brown became Chancellor of the Exchequer in 1997, and this situation was improved by Labour up until the global recession. I think the fact the present Chancellor is now blaming his government’s dismal performance on external influences would imply that you cannot blame Gordon Brown for having to act to create growth and maintain stability.
@newagemisfit In 1997 he was handed the a better Economy this Country has ever seen NHS, Education, Pensions and the only debt we were paying were the War Bonds we should never had have to have paid back!!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
A very immature and shit Prime Minister. The one-eyed wankstain allowed unfettered immigration just to boost Labour votes . The cunt should be dangled over Traitors Gate and left to swing by his balls.
@MrVinushka I voted for UKIP but would vote BNP in preference to Labour. Labour allowed 3.2 miilion immigrants 80% of them non EU between 1997 and 2010. I have nothing against immigrants and I am sure many justify themselves being here but I really think the Public should have some voting control or say over immigration issues . I think for a government to allow an "Open Door" policy of immigration as Labour have done is irresponsible especially as unemployment is rising.
don't blame him for getting the shits. the modern media has forgotten their roll in in politics, and is only interested in tabloid hype and ratings. and the British press represent the worst of the media, including their bimbo inteviewers and presenters.
@KINGIBYM Totally agree with you I am a young conservative but I hate The Sun and the BBC totally bias especially when you know someone is right! I myself thought it was disgusting of Cameron and Osborne to say no to Brown about running for the IMF Presidency I thought he was a good PM it was his Staff that kept letting the side down i.e. Balls, Mandelson, Ed Millaband, Harmen, Cooper these idiots were the reason Labour had it so hard they need to get rid now or they'll never see admin again!
@2490debrick I am UKIP man and Brown was the worst PM and Chancellor this country has ever seen by a country mile. I cannot go into detail on his total ham fisted incompetence and destructive policies that generations will suffer for so I suggest you read "Gordon is a moron" by Vernon Coleman or the Tullett Prebon report "Thinking the unthinkable". It is all there if you want a deeper insight into this reckless, desperate moron.
doesn't matter what your political stance is, adam boulton is a useless interviewer and a plain cunt. you might as well have piers morgan doing the interviews.
"it does obsess you" lmao....that was quick, i liked gordon brown, his reputation was destroyed because people didnt like how he wasnt that charasmatic.....watta shame that pople are so stupid. He is intelligent and lovely man
If they are assholes, then you are an arsehole. Simple really... DON'T FUCKING WATCH SKY NEWS IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT. That choice dosen't exist with the Marxists at the BBC
Not so funny for you now Brown is it with your old pals Blair,Mandy and Milliband all stabbing you in the back and saying what a useless sack of shit you are. Good riddance to the ugly, cyclopic, snot gobbling, marxist moron. He will be remembered for time immemorial as the "One-eyed Scottish Idiot". What a fucking joke . How embarrassed your family and friends must be by you when they see you on Youtube.
@3chel3 Thatcher was bad for creating a society based on"greed" but Brown was a marxist control freak nutcase who did nothing about uncontrolled immigration and expanded the public sector just to increase Labour votes and keep him in power. He didn't give a shit about England and has damaged our country beyond repair. For the astronomical debt he left behind he should be shot. Labour and Tory governments have much to answer for,
So you think the public school clown we've now got as an unelected prime minister can pass as a statesman for this country then?
At least Brown didn't get into power based on a dodgy deal written on the back of a fag pack hours before his own parties back benchers were about to throw him into the dustbin of histroy.
@3chel3 I don't believe he's a school of any kind.
A dangerous lunatic who thinks the way the tackle the gargantuan debt his Fred Karno's Army of a party has left for our children and grandchildren is to print yet more non-existent money....sorry....quantitative easing....is closer to the mark..
So you think the public school clown we've now got as an unelected prime minister can pass as a statesman for this country then?
At least Brown didn't get into power based on a dodgy deal written on the back of a fag pack hours before his own parties back benchers were about to throw him into the dustbin of history.
@3chel3 Hang on, Gordon Brown forced out a sitting Prime Minister, whom the Labour party had promised would serve a full term, only then to dodge an election in the following autumn. Talk about dodgy dealings! Brown got into power by duplicity and dodgy deals without the hassle of an election or a compromise.
@3chel3 No I actually think Cameron is a bit wet. He still has not tackled issues like capping immigration and hammering hard the welfare state spongers. Any decent strong leader with clear and concise policies would have wiped the floor with Labour at the last election. They were a dead duck in the water. Cameron lead an absolutely dreadful election campaign despite having the weight of the media support. He relied on "Hatred of Labour" to win rather than people really WANTING the Tories.
@3chel3 I don't think David Cameron can pass as anything more than the spineless EU Viceroy that he is, although at least he actually stood in an election and was asked by Her Majesty the Queen to form a government, which more than can be said for Gormless McRuin.
I visited the UK last year, for a month, and never considered SKY as a news channel --- does anyone? I think it is more an entertainment kind of channel... is not it? oh well... who cares anyway.
@LORDMCHUGH erm. brown and his merry men in the FSA exacerbated the downturn in this country by following a lax and irrepsonsible monetary policy of spend spend spend while not saving and doing away with the BOE regulatory mechanisms the tories put in after black wednesday. as the economist and every other economically literate journal have agreed, brown contriubted to the scale of the recession. all cuts now undertaken are browns fault. you know nothing of economics if you can't see that.
@jinkedful Spend, spend spend would be fiscal policy and not monetary policy and when it comes to saving you will find that Brown delivered more budget surpluses than any other Chancellor since the second world war.
If you're going to suggest that people are economically illiterate you should at least write in sentences and find out what monetary policy is.
@slimes23 print print print v spend spend spend -> not that far apart imo. I am frankly surprised someone who knows the differnet is supporting brown, and that isn't at all impressive since almost every chancellor preceding brown had major major issues to deal with, whereas brown had 10 years of uninterupted growth, and STILL ran a budget defecit EVERY year from 2001, at an anual rate of between 70 billion and, in 2007, 170.8 billion. I was stating that economic literate journals decry Brown.
Quantative easing is completely different from G. Don't the Tories support it? Brown had the Asian financial crisis and massive increase in oil and commodity prices that would have lead to a resurgence of inflation under any previous Chancellor. The Tories had economic growth for ten years in the 50s and sixties and didn't produce a surplus while Brown did at the turn of the century. Deficits have been lower under Labour on average than under the Tories.
@slimes23 the asian finacial crisis was not something brown had any control over, or did anything to make either better or worse, he had only been chancellor for a month after all. the IMF stepped in so i don't know why you are mentioning it. its like blaming the collapse of japanese banking in the 1992 for black wednesday. the resulting drop in oil prices was ignored as well. as for the tory defecits; they resulted from previous labour overspend, just like in the 80s and now the 2010+'s
@jinkedful Actually, government spending rose as a share of GDP for a full five years under Thatcher so the deficits can not be blamed on Labour. We saw a considerable slow down in the US economy at the turn of the century and I take it that you concede the point about oil and commodity prices.
@slimes23 the first point makes no sense. the defecit was reduced year on year after the first five years, and became a surplus under major. The slow down was, i repeat, not responded to. Brown had conceded power over interest rates already, and certainly didn't embark on anything keynesian. Browns style was essentially laissaie fair when it came to actual regulation, and keynesian when it came to spending, which was novel but cannot be used to claim he was competant. I don't think we agree...
@jinkedful I said government spending not the deficit. Government spending grew as a share of GDP for the first five years. There was no surplus under Major. Brown did respond with a programme of investment and brown 'ceded' power over interest rates not 'conceded'. His fiscal expansion after 2002 can be seen as broadly Keynesian.
@slimes23 i assumed you would see the implied link between an increase in government spending and an increase in defecit, unless you are being deliberatly obtuse... read that last bit again for the "ceceded-conceded" thing. There was a surplus by 1996. Brown combined Keynesian spending with light touch regualtion and stealth taxing, but no increase in regulation, i already said that. It is not true that brown responded with investment to the asian finacial crisis. Now leave me to my music.
@jinkedful There was no surplus in 1996. There was a deficit and a prediction of a blanced budget by 2000. Brown accelerated this with a number of tax rises. The deficit is a product of government receipts as well as expenditure.
@slimes23 well thats just a pointless statement isn't it, reciets are the money coming in, expenditure is the money going out, so obviously both are going to affect the defecit. Brown lowered corporation tax, introduced the 10% band and only incresed standard taxes in line with inflation. to be sure taxation increased from 97 to 2009, but that is really not relevant to the point your making.
could anybody translate the last they said into spanish? i'm learning english and i understand almost everything but the journalist speak very fast xD thanks!!
He did not mention mass immigration .the rise in violent crime, overrun schools and Nhs, plus prisons etc.....due to ' their' secret immigration policy, thanks new labour!! we are now over run and over crowded....
Then don't fucking pay for it your braindead oik. At least with Sky News, you don't have to pay for it. With the BBC, you are coerced into paying for it, even if you don't watch it. In other countries, a state run broadcaster that is funded by a poll tax is called a totalitarian state. In our country, it is called a treaured institution.
@VonMises1990 What, one national broadcaster (which by charter, is not controlled by the government) = a totalitarian state? I think you need to brush up on your definitions.
I shall comply with the order and brush once more. You should become a dentist if you are not already one. Your care for teeth is jaw-inspiring (drum roll and tumbleweed).
@VonMises1990 If you trying to be facetious, it's failing. Even if I meant the literal sense of the word "brush", when do people "brush up" on their teeth?
I'm a Tory voter, yet Boulton, Burley, and Sky News in general just make me cringe.

For the record i dont even like Cameron but i keep things in perspective.
vehiclesburning 1 week ago
@vehiclesburning and you think I like anyone who has anything to do with Nu Labour? I even said they're all the same self entitled rich-boy scum. Tell me about some UK workers in the last few years who actually built a massively successful business from scratch...the entire system is set up keep the richest on top. The fact you keep using the term "left" leads me to believe you're what's known in politics as a useful idiot. Tell me how you know so much about politics when you dont read papers?
DrAnonPony 1 week ago
@DrAnonPony Your talking bollocks again. google 'UK top entrepreneurs' Loads of rags to riches storys in our country and i am proud and inspired by everyone of them.
vehiclesburning 1 week ago
@vehiclesburning There are plenty of young entrepreneurs, but theyre peanuts compared to sort of people getting their claws into the UK. The few entrepreneurs that actually have some significance are shitbags. Ability is irrelevant if you want to be successful. It's all about prestige. Also you've not told me how you can consider yourself well educated in politics without reading about it. Or how you can justify a non British company dogding 6bn on top of enormous profits.
DrAnonPony 1 week ago
@DrAnonPony Back all your ludicrous claims up with sources. You still have not qouted where you got that the coalition has DOUBLED the deficit from? Now you state this about entrepreneurs!?! Which company 'dodged' 6bn and where is your solid hard proof FFS.
vehiclesburning 1 week ago
@vehiclesburning debtbombshellDOTcom. also, you were about 3 trillion off your quoted figure of total debt :^)
And if you actually read the news you'd know all about Vodaphone dodging 6bn. Surely it's a coincidence Gideon has given many praising speeches on behalf of Vodaphone? And it looks like Vodaphone are at it again! (May want to look on Private Eye's website)
DrAnonPony 1 week ago
@DrAnonPony That doesnt include PFI! Ive never seen a 6bn figure for Vodaphone. How much do Vodaphone turnover, how many do they employ?
vehiclesburning 1 week ago
@vehiclesburning Front page of the Private Eye website. All is explained there. Don't recall their turnover but the 6bn was supposed to be taxed from their PROFITS. That's the sort of money we're dealing with. You'll probably find that the Tory's are loving PFI just as much if not more than Labour did.
DrAnonPony 1 week ago
@vehiclesburning let me know how great you think the coalition is when a global conglomerate eats your buisiness, you get cancer from an unregulated food industry and have to pay for your chaemotherapy and you're forced to work at poundland without wages if you want to have enough money to feed yourself, all while getting bricks thrown through your window for being a filthy benefit scrounger. Oh yeah, and we've had trillions of debt for years due to a little war with Germany we had.
DrAnonPony 1 week ago
@DrAnonPony So you compare the destruction New Labour did to our country the same as world war 2? Financially i would agree!. Oh and your PFI Comment is unsubstanted because it was the Government who signed us into PFI for the next 30 years. Oh and my business will be fine, us wealth generators sleep much better at night with Brown gone. I am not a huge of the coalition but in comparison to Labour they are 1000 times better. Your comment is drivel im afraid. We are booming.
vehiclesburning 1 week ago
@vehiclesburning I don't know if you noticed, but global wars are expensive and we've never paid off our debt. And do you even know what PFI is? Because Labour loved it, and the Tories love it even more.
"We are booming"? Fucking lol. Maybe if you're the owner of Goldman Sachs!
DrAnonPony 1 week ago
@DrAnonPony Go and research your facts you are full of shit. How much does the dole pay you these days? Yes we are Booming as a modern technologies business.
vehiclesburning 1 week ago
@vehiclesburning Ha. I guess that's why all of our developers run away to Canada. What sort of technology are you talking about? TVs that get made in Japan? Software developed in America and Canada? Hadware developed in China? Does David Cameron standing in a factory looking at things make us a manufacturing power? Might want to pick up a copy of Private Eye, Guardian, Independent, FT, or a kitchen towel because they're obviously more informative than what you read.
DrAnonPony 1 week ago
@DrAnonPony Thatcher brought Nissan to the Northeast. She never gained credit for that as the miners moaned FFS.
vehiclesburning 1 week ago
@vehiclesburning so letting a japanese country take over the british car manufacturing industry is wealth creation? lol. and damn those thousands miners having their livelihoods taken away and complaining about it! If you've ever gone to the NW or Wales you know full well what her "wealth generation" is worth.
DrAnonPony 1 week ago
@DrAnonPony Most of those miners would have been dead before 50 lol. Also they would have closed anyway. What you lot on the left dont understand is money does not grow on bloody tree's and is not in endless supply! Maybe instead of fucking moanig and whining some of the people should have embraced change instead of suffering a life of pity on social handouts.
vehiclesburning 1 week ago
@vehiclesburning yeah, they would've closed even with the massive amount of A grade coal available barely anywhere in the world...and yeah, they probably would have given the Tory's contempt for worker's rights. And i dont know if you realised, but their were communities built around industries, and once the industry is killed off, there's nothing available, and they can never recover (something you obviously dont understand)
DrAnonPony 1 week ago
@vehiclesburning and money doesn't grow on trees, but you get a hell of a lot when you sell the mountain of pristine coal laying underground!
DrAnonPony 1 week ago
@DrAnonPony Well go and open them then!! Maybe you will earn some quids to then spend on Champagne and sit with your socialist chums moaning about them bullingdon club boys LOL
vehiclesburning 1 week ago
@vehiclesburning Well I can't, because I don't happen to be the owner of a massive TNC...and you really have no idea what sort of people are actually running the country do you? That's evident from the fact you apparently don't read newspapers. How can you claim to have any knowledge of politics when you don't even read about it?
DrAnonPony 1 week ago
@DrAnonPony Well guess what? Neither am i. I run a small business i built from nothing and took a huge risk with a loan. I have grafted my fucking arse off and i have an average car and an average home. If Labour had their way they would take the lot from me and give it to the feckless who understand the value of NOTHING. Yes there is a lot of hardhip out there but we need to get things back to normal from the 13 year utter crazy socialist spunk fest.
vehiclesburning 1 week ago
@DrAnonPony I speak to Clients, Suppliers, other small business's. I see how investments are doing, where interest rates are etc. I use my eyes and ears and i do watch Sky and BBC but am sensible enough to not take everything they report as gospel. I have my own mind thanks.
vehiclesburning 1 week ago
@DrAnonPony Maybe if the car workers had taken pride in what they did and didnt bloody strike every 10 mins we would have a car industry. The products and build quality were SHITE while the Germans got on with the job and didnt fucking complain. Look at Audi and BMW now!! (oh and we have Nissan still, the largest and most efficient car plant in the Europe brough here by one Mrs Lady Thatcher!!)
vehiclesburning 1 week ago
@vehiclesburning yeah, it's entirely the worker's fault and has nothing to do with middle managers and "wealth generators". Who cares if they work long hours for minimum wage while their managers and wealth generators get rich off shody products? They should get on with it like the docile peons they're supposed to be! Who knows, perhaps the German and UK car industries operate under completely different circumstances? Also Thatcher isn't the CEO of Nissan.

@3chel3 No I actually think Cameron is a bit wet. He still has not tackled issues like capping immigration and hammering hard the welfare state spongers. Any decent strong leader with clear and concise policies would have wiped the floor with Labour at the last election. They were a dead duck in the water. @LORDMCHUGH erm. brown and his merry men in the FSA exacerbated the downturn in this country by following a lax and irrepsonsible monetary policy of spend spend spend while not saving and doing away with the BOE regulatory mechanisms the tories put in after black wednesday. as the economist and every other economically literate journal have agreed, brown contriubted to the scale of the recession. all cuts now undertaken are browns fault. you know nothing of economics if you can't see that.
jinkedful 1 year ago
@jinkedful Spend, spend spend would be fiscal policy and not monetary policy and when it comes to saving you will find that Brown delivered more budget surpluses than any other Chancellor since the second world war.
If you're going to suggest that people are economically illiterate you should at least write in sentences and find out what monetary policy is.
slimes23 1 year ago
@slimes23 print print print v spend spend spend -> not that far apart imo. I am frankly surprised someone who knows the differnet is supporting brown, and that isn't at all impressive since almost every chancellor preceding brown had major major issues to deal with, whereas brown had 10 years of uninterupted growth, and STILL ran a budget defecit EVERY year from 2001, at an anual rate of between 70 billion and, in 2007, 170.8 billion. I was stating that economic literate journals decry Brown.
jinkedful 1 year ago
@jinkedful
Deficits have been lower under Labour on average than under the Tories.
slimes23 1 year ago
@slimes23 the asian finacial crisis was not something brown had any control over, or did anything to make either better or worse, he had only been chancellor for a month after all. the IMF stepped in so i don't know why you are mentioning it. its like blaming the collapse of japanese banking in the 1992 for black wednesday. the resulting drop in oil prices was ignored as well. as for the tory defecits; they resulted from previous labour overspend, just like in the 80s and now the 2010+'s
jinkedful 1 year ago
@jinkedful Actually, government spending rose as a share of GDP for a full five years under Thatcher so the deficits can not be blamed on Labour. We saw a considerable slow down in the US economy at the turn of the century and I take it that you concede the point about oil and commodity prices.
slimes23 1 year ago
@slimes23 the first point makes no sense. the defecit was reduced year on year after the first five years, and became a surplus under major. The slow down was, i repeat, not responded to. Brown had conceded power over interest rates already, and certainly didn't embark on anything keynesian. Browns style was essentially laissaie fair when it came to actual regulation, and keynesian when it came to spending, which was novel but cannot be used to claim he was competant. I don't think we agree...
jinkedful 1 year ago
@jinkedful I said government spending not the deficit. Government spending grew as a share of GDP for the first five years. There was no surplus under Major. Brown did respond with a programme of investment and brown 'ceded' power over interest rates not 'conceded'. His fiscal expansion after 2002 can be seen as broadly Keynesian.
slimes23 1 year ago
@slimes23 i assumed you would see the implied link between an increase in government spending and an increase in defecit, unless you are being deliberatly obtuse... read that last bit again for the "ceceded-conceded" thing. There was a surplus by 1996. Brown combined Keynesian spending with light touch regualtion and stealth taxing, but no increase in regulation, i already said that. It is not true that brown responded with investment to the asian finacial crisis. Now leave me to my music.
jinkedful 1 year ago
@jinkedful There was no surplus in 1996. There was a deficit and a prediction of a blanced budget by 2000. Brown accelerated this with a number of tax rises. The deficit is a product of government receipts as well as expenditure.
slimes23 1 year ago
@slimes23 well thats just a pointless statement isn't it, reciets are the money coming in, expenditure is the money going out, so obviously both are going to affect the defecit. Brown lowered corporation tax, introduced the 10% band and only incresed standard taxes in line with inflation. to be sure taxation increased from 97 to 2009, but that is really not relevant to the point your making.
jinkedful 1 year ago
@slimes23 and yet the more i look into what brown did the more i see your point. this is not a climb down. im just saying.

@brett18uk The BBC is more powerful and is far left.

I've already brushed this morning

@VonMises1990 Well you need to brish up again.
