  • Well spoken

  • @Hsmk88 Not really, no. She wasn't really prepared and she was mostly talking about her personal experiences and generalizing it in order for it to apply to other women. Women in Oman are more empowered than she has described. Why do we NEED the backing of our fathers and brothers, when we can take out our own personal loans and have right to land that we can sell to fund out businesses.

  • What Nadia said is absolutely true! If you guys don't want to listen to it, then do something to change it! This is something that EVERYBODY know around the world!

  • @Letilucy

We are doing ALOT to change it, and don't need the limited point of view charged with negative information about Oman and Omani Women

  • i agree with Omanya she had to prepare herself .. she could said many things which are more important and reflects the satuts of women in oman .. and about saudi women .. i cant agree with you Nadia .. there are many saudi women who are well educated and running poistions in their country !

  • احذر ميجالو يا سوسان :-)

  • It is unfortunate that unqualified Omanis are selected to represent the rest of us, without us having a say about who is best to represent us and speak for the country!!

This interview gets under my skin every time I view it. Nothing personal Nadia, but on a prefessional level

There was alot of work you should have done for this interview, rather than speaking gibberish...

  • I Just wish that Nadia had prepared herself with more accurate knowledge before speaking publicly about Oman and its economic and political status regarding women.

Unfortunately, most of the information given by Nadia is vague and unfounded. On what basis do Omani women NEED thier fathers and brothers to get to high positions??

To say that Saudi Arabia are 35 years behind us, that is an unwarrented and ignorant comment. Saudi Women run some of thye biggest business in the region, read Forbes

  • Nadia is 100% correct. Saudi women are dumb fucks.

  • I think what she was trying to explain was that it is tougher for women to compete with men for certain jobs, and thus having a male relative or friend already working in a certain sector would go along way to increase the likelihood of them gaining that job, and strengthening their position in the job market.

  • @Omaniya123 I agree, she isn't exactly the best spokes person.

However, regarding Saudi Arabia, I believe she should have mentioned that to balance it out. What she meant, I think, (but she didn't properly articulate) is the fact that women in KSA do not have equal opportunities to build their businesses and etc such as in the UAE, Bahrain and Oman etc.

  • @Omaniya123 She is talking about the majority, however the women who you are talking about are either part of the royal family, or the elite of KSA, who DO have the backing of their parents and male siblings, who use their power and status to allow them to do so.
