I'm with a lot of people here because I've made the same observations:

3000 technological-wise is more advanced. However 2000 had more charm and style.

Notice that old KITT (exept 4th seson) was quite real and it had sense... New one transforms which is total nonsense and need to do transform to jump. Old one could jump whenever he wanted to. Also old KITT looked like Potiac Firebird- it was very aerodynamical and futuristyc in its time. Mustang is retro muscle car. It just doesn't fit to this role. And to be honest I would rather expect to see X-Wing fighter flying over my house than this KITT-transformer at the street.

Even though I own an Original KITT, I still like this new one. I cant class it as Knight Rider in a true form though. But as a seperate Follow up show which it is I think its gonna do well. I realy hope they have an episode with Both the cars in it though to pay homage to its roots.
