im looking at my 32gb ipod touch 4g i just got and it's fine...no yellowing whatsoever. as i read these comments everyone is suggesting some kind of complicated answer...i think it's just a manufacturing defect. send it to apple to get it fixed for free if you bought it within a year.

Tips to iPodiTouchz: Buy a good screen protector and make sure you wipe the screen before you attach it to the ipod and don't make video like this because the yellowing is just your ipod, not ours, asshole...

I think I know what the problem is. I personally noticed this too, but between two iPod touch 4gs. The difference was the version of iOS. My iPod had 4.3 at the time and my friend's was still on 4.2.1. The same thing happened when I compared it to an iPhone 4 that was still in 4.2.1. My iPod looked bluer and newer while the other device had that yellow hue to it. So it is not the hardware, it is the software settings. It'd be good to know if anyone else has experienced the same, so please let m

@Mattoboy100 look at the capactiy of each gen (2nd and 3rd gen), and you could see how many GB it has.. the 3rd gen's capacity improfile is smaller than the 2nd gen. And the packaging of the 3rd gen has a "voice memos app" from the sticker covering the 3rd gen.. hope this helps :)

well you say that but when I had my 2G touch, and then I wanted the 4G.., I compared it to the my old one and mine was freakishly yellow and fuzzy just on the home screen. When I actually bought it I compared them and my old one looked like one of those old TV's vs. an HD TV.

its because of retina display.. compare the psp2000 and psp3000, psp3000 is yellowing too if you compare them.. but its better because more brighter more real colors.. and its more visible on outdoors.

The iPhone 4 has the IPS display, the iPod touch (fourth generation) has only the retina display, but needs deeper blacks, and less of a blue effect, so they made it slightly more yellow, and decreased the brightness buy 5% on the iPod touch (against the 3G).

It's not even noticeable after a week or so, you get used to it, plus if you've never owned an iPod touch or an iPhone, you wouldn't even know it's yellow!
