@goatlady2022 it's great if your the one selling the grain. this is the best year we had in a long time. we even had enough money to concrete the cow yard. we raise enough grain to have enough for our livestock and to sell quite a bit.
I am a country girl and proud of it. I work on a dairy farm and even though it gets harder every day with grain and gas prices it's all I ever dream of doing. Please don't let my dreams run dry, Lord. I will take the tractor another round. I won't complain and I won't ask why. I just want to live under this amarillo sky. I quit school because I couldn't stand the prissy girls so now I home school and poor my life into my dream. To one day have a farm of my own. It is the only way of life I know.
I just read the comment about the city kids I am from Manitoba every summer my cushion family comes from tronto my Gigi farms that's were they stay I will get my mom to drop me off at my baba and Gigi s farm start up a tractor at 5:30am along with my Gigi will go out to work well he sits their does nothing except brings lunch which baba foces him to do
Also we got it hard city folk have there rich parents buy them watever they want while I'm in the field from 5 am to 8pm they say there lives r hard they wouldnt make it a minute on the farm like if u agree
I am one of two country boys in our school and always get stuff about it it is really annoying if the world did end the city folk would rely on their iPhones to keep them alive and I'm sure theres no app that tells u how to hunt or gut a buck so good luck to all yall city folk like if you agree!
@clandsom1 If you are making the grain prices are great. If you have to buy the grain to feed your cows the prices aren't very nice considering that milk prices were so low. Diesels worth the price of gold.
Pisses me off when city kids just sit on their asses, walk around and play video games, while we lose money everyday fixing our stuff and producing their food, especially since we just spent $900 on tin just for half a roof on our lean to, honestly, my friends were enjoying modern warfare 3 and video games.. There's truly, only 4 country boys in my school, me being one of them.
I dont farm but i know how and want to but for all of you who get to you are very lucky. I do as good of work as any guy could do even though ima girl. But this song has been around since i was like five and its still my fav country song.
My dads side of the family have been truckers for 3 generations and farmers before that but my moms side have been farmers since they came to america in the 1600s Ive grown up around both lives and now im torn between the 2
Where I live it is all rural county here in Minnesota. All you see when you go somewhere is fields of hay, corn, wheat and everything else. I was born and raised a farmer and that is all I'll ever be. I love the smell of the morning air and fresh cut hay, of the cattle in the pens.
I live and breath farm. I've been on our sheep farm for my whole life and have been driving tractors and equipment since I was 8. My family owns about 3000 acre total. But what can i say it is hard to make a dollar out there. But farmers feed cities and to all those punk city kids just remember that your parents don't put that food on the table, a farmer does.
iv been workin the fields since i could walk pickin rocks then start drivin the tractors at 6 prices keep goin up and just makes it hard for us to operate the equipment and all people can do when they see us drivin down the road is givin us the bird. no farms no food god bless all the farmers out there
@aclorah i kno how hard it is for yas like ma dad loves farming bein doin it since he was 12 i dont drive the tractors much but i do help dad durin the harvest, i love farming and all but im thinking im not gonna farm when im older ill more likely work on a farm cause today he had to disc down 1/2 the dried bean crop in one of or fields cause there was barn grass and mustard in it and the triple k (hoe) wasnt doin much he said it was the only way to get rid of it but the other field is fine
@aclorah Amen. God bless. I'm only 14 and i'm a girl but i want nothing more than to have a farm to work on. Been working on one along side my parents since I could walk.
@aclorah Amen. No farms no food! America could support itself but we refuse because we would rather import everything and give away our good products to the poor people who don't give a shit about us.
i was born and raised on a farm i'm slowly taking over land from uncles and cousins that have either quit or are retiring. i have 1100 acres in my name. between my dad and i we have 3500. its enough for us and keeps us busy.
I work on my family's farm this song truly brings people that like country music that live in city's what life is like out here. My fav. part of working on the farm is driving my old ass 1957 spear hay bale pickuper(Don't know how to spell). Anyways if you really love this song, cmon down to the midwest and start a farm! I know it ain't that wasy but you should at least play like a game like
I would do any thing and i mean ANYTHING to live in the country! i hate living in the town! i am a redneck and proud of it! i started driving mini tractors about 6 years ago. and i am only 15. But i wish i could start farming. Thanks to all the farmers out there!
I love this song.....my grnadparents own a 1500down in dallas another 234 its hard work but its ggood money we own also a 25000 acre farm for cattle shipment its real good i like it
farming ant like it was 20 years ago me and my dad own a 2300 acr. farm and it is good money.. but it is still a tons of work but when my grandpa and dad first started those were real farming days.. started with 62 acrs. now my dad has built up a couple million dollar farm.. i thank him eveyday!!! he alwasy bitching at me because farms now a days have it so easy! but i can tell he dont mind.
i'm not a farmer, but know a lot of people with farming families. even if i didn't know anyone.. this would still make me cry like it does every time. i first heard this song at farmaid '06 in between artists. now i LOVE jason aldean, and this is my FAVORITE song. :D
My first job paid 10 cents an hour me and my cousin fish would rotate one day he would drive a 40's model Farmall and I would walk behind it with a mallet to knock the blades if they got to much dirt buildup those were the best times of my life
im a 4th generation farmer, if the econmy keeps goin down hill there wont be a 5th generation. but i think as far as muny goes im doin ok, well i shud be doin alot better
my and my grandpa started me at like 6-7 years old me and him keep that old farm up for 17years and now. well lets say hes in better place and still to this day i farm every single day of my life its more then life its what it is. makes me cry to lesin to this song. nothing more lovin then a kid and his grandpa
my dad worked on a farm for 40 years and his boss treated me like a son and a cupple years back he died i went over to the old far mthe other day brought teers to my eyes to see the place falling apart the tractors are sitting in the pole barn and just rotting away i work on a 70 cow diary farm. farmer born and farmer bread.
This is an amazing video. I love how you put the pictures to match the video. This is such an awesome song too. Thanks to all the farmers out there. Oh where we would be without them is not good. I love this song very much, thanks for the video :)
i started farming bout 2 years ago. it has cost me more than money. so far 2 rekationships cause they can't handle the long hours i work or that stress it puts on me. i'm still at it cause farming is in the blood. farming is a passion and a life style not a career. farmers feed the world without them we would all starve. GOD BLESS ALL THAT FARM
@countryboy992 you are soo right. been working on a farm alongside my parents my while life. llong hard hours but you get so much satisfaction out of knowing your cows and family are well fed. God bless the farmers of the USA.
