We had three crack heads trying to cut into a hose on our infield tanks. 750 psi. The Sherriff caught them before they were able to kill themselves. Crazy.
cool stuff something funny we have a feild behind out house and our dog went out there sniffen right after just got done spraying AH and i've never seen a dog puke so much it's kinda sad though
hey mate, very awesome video. A month ago i was putting the same stuff on preparing the gound for winter crop. Its horrible stuff isnt it. I have jumped out of the tractor and gotten a wiff of it and it nearly knocked me out
@johndeere1993 A friend of ours lost his eye using it so the old man never used it and I don't either. I think the cultivation is probably helping the most.
Ugh, in mud yea, but in that field probably not. You use what you got I guess. It is nice to gear up and throttle down to save fuel. Tandem tanks are not legal in Ontario.
Thanks for the comment. In theory yes it could, but you would not see the same results as with a commercial fertilizer. It is not viable for us as we are not organic producers and also do not produce enough manure to cover all of our corn acres.
Yes it can substitute but you will achieve higher yields with NH3 vs compost tea.
My Grandfather was a successful farmer and he used a manure spreader but I know things have changed. Good news is a small amount of compost can make an awful lot of tea.
We made compost tea from composted sheep manure/hay after we cleaned the barn. 1 gallon will cover approximately 3000-4000 sq. ft.
Farmers up here can hardly afford fertilizer. At the rate it is going hay will be $5 a bail soon. So we are thinking of ways to help them out and make a dollar at the same time.
Or smart guy, could it be that that gap between us is all that remained of the 2000 acres of corn we sidedress? My tank was empty and I just got off from closing the taps. Of course a 10 year old tractor is going to be more comfortable to drive than a 31 year old tractor.
I'd rather be a smart ass than a dumb ass!I was just teasing abit relax we have a 2-85 white and a 8100 I know the difference.( guess running that old white got to you!!!)

My cousin was doing Anahydrous and the pin came undone, but he stop intime before the hose broke.

@batistalover10
In Canada we have to have emergency releases in the hose so if a drawpin falls out or breaks the hose uncouples instead of breaking.

@Farmerknowsbest
We have that down here, if a tank doesnt have that it has a safety valve that cuts flow if to much is getting out.

how it this stuff compared to 25s nitrogen. or is it a climate thing i live in south carolina never known anyone to use that in these parts
heavyxpress3000 2 years ago
NH3 is the raw form of Nitrogen fertilizer, it's what all other nitrogen fertilizers r derived from...so basically it's the cheapest form of N

Just wandered we always used litle bit smaller JD and did fine but thats true about the fuel savings.

Do you really need to have that many HP to pull that rig without tandem tanks?

@Farmerknowsbest How come the tandem tanks are not legal in Ontario?.

Could a good quality compost tea "injected" be a viable substitute for ammonia?
