  • wooow! so cool how u just like, MASTERED japanese! sugoi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I also watched your videos in yesjapan it was so cool you rock!!! when will you make the part seven of nihongo no muzukashisa???

  • haha...cockroaches.

  • Stop defending yourself !

Just stay true to yourself and god will

take care of the rest. Talk more about

the culture and educate those that don't

know certain things. I kind of love the culture

to particularly the folklore and mythology I guess thats why I am a manga artist.

  • what was the music in the beginning

  • Dashboard by Modest Mouse

  • the first 20 seconds of your video are awesome.nice editing style

  • haha. thanks!

  • I love how you don't make your voice many pitches higher when you speak Japanese. Of course it is a little higher, but many girls who start learning Japanese that aren't native speakers take on this really terrible voice. x_x

  • wow! that was allot.

    I also like cooking,

what kind of things do you like cooking?

By the way, what college do you attend.

once i graduate from the two year college i attend now, i plan to go to union college that has the east asian studies that i want to major in(New York).

  • Loretta!

    You make me laugh.

Are you starting classes again monday?

  • ;) wed'.

  • nice one loretta. wow...so much japanese. *faints* XD

  • *faints too!*

  • i dont know what the hell u just said, but wow haha

  • haha, subtitles! subtitles!

Brilliant as usual.

I love your video editing style. Maybe one day I'll learn something :)

  • wow. your entrance was toooo awesome.

  • thanks! I was hoping someone would notice all the effort i put in those like...10 seconds lol :)

  • Hey!!! I did make a vid response but it hasnt shown up lol o well its on my page anyhoo~

God I hope my japanese can get as flowing as the way you speak it.

  • yeah, I saw that! I don't know what's up with that d_d;;... anywho, ganbatte ne!!

  • Your Japanese is very flowing; I probably told you that before, but i really need to get my speaking up to your level. I would do youtube videos to practice if I didn't hate the sound of my recorded voice. Although your series focuses on teaching English speakers the difficulties of Japanese, It would be cool too if you had a fully japanese series as well (maybe the difficulties of listening to japanese? i dunno).

btw - you should try lang-8!

  • wow, thank you :). It's encouraging to hear that i'm not SO bad/rusty! Hehe maybe I'll consider such a series!

    (I think i'll try out lang-8 soon!)

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOO it has been a hot minute!!! missed u maaaan nice vid as always!!! :P:P i better see more !!! lol

  • alrighty then!

  • Ah, a new video! That was interesting. And you accent is impeccable. I can't wait for your next episode. :D

  • :) thanks!

  • thanks for uploading videos! im learning from them! (like for this one, 'ippan teki'... is it? thanks!)

  • hahah, yup! :) i'm glad they help! (that's why i try to put the dual subtitles, so people can hear ANd see what i'm saying in case they want to look it up)

  • cute video! I subbed to your channel. I love learning Japanese.. I'm sad though, because the college I'm going to attend only offers spanish.. I've sort of just been doing research on my own to learn Japanese:)

audio lessions, dictionaries and online sources.. but classes would be so much fun!

I need to learn kana and kanji!

  • wow, good luck! Definately start with the kana and some basic kanji (numbers, days of the week), and then go from there! :)

  • I've been taqgged too. lol itll be up soon

  • hoohoo!

  • I have been tagged lol oh lord

  • heehee!

  • wow, impressive Japanese!I love learning Japanese,too

  • You could have said 読者 instead of 本を読み物 ;)

  • haha, wait isnt' that 'dokusha' ? like the person reading?

  • maybe, but my teacher once told me to say it instead of *hon wo yomu koto* before lol. It means person who likes to read too I think =/

  • aaa i see! thanks 4 the tip! I'll look into it

  • Thats great Im looking forward to them!!

btw I hope to be as good at Japanese as you are ^-^

  • Awesome XD

  • THANKS XD !

  • Damn it!

    Okay okay~

Do I have to do it in English or Korean...or both?

  • if u slipped in some korean that would be awesome, but without subtitles it would be sad cuz I wouldn't hear answers to questions... :(

  • Haha. You gotta teach me how to do subtitles then.

    Get on MSN ^^

  • :P as soon as my internet stops crashing my computer!

  • :P and its all your fault!!! Haha jk.

  • u speak so fluent u must have taken a class for learning japanese

  • haha, 6 years worth of "a class" :) but thank you! I have a long way to go, but its encouraging to hear that i'm doing ok so far! :) good luck to you, too!

  • arigato ^_^ and your welcome

アルバム「we were dead before the ship even sank」もいいと思う。

  • haha I LOVE the album! :) I listen to it 24/7. Steam Ingenious is my personal fav' but Dashboard is awesome! wow, good luck with the studies! As always, I'll continue to cheer!

  • I really like your videos!, where did you get to travel?! Any place exciting?

  • hahah I was just in the main burrows on New York (brooklyn, manhattan, the bronx, etc.) hanging out with friends :). But seeing as to how I'm not a native New Yorker it was 'travel' for me :)

  • kool

  • :)!

  • lol it's ok... I'm just a bit envious.. How can I get better.. i don't take classes anymore.. maybe I should read the rest of the text book.. I don't feel that a language is learned in a class room.. The entire Japanese people is proof of that.. There needs to be more.. I know people who have taken 4 years of Japanese.. yet still can't talk to me.. thats bad right..

  • lol no believe me I get jealous of everyone for something but yeah. there tend to be a couple key phrases that I really like when I hear them from my friends mom, etc and i use them again and again until they stick. But no, you're japanese is great! Maybe the best thing for us is to just go there for a while and drench ourselves in it. haha.

  • Cool vid !

  • thanks for watching!

  • This video is really cool, i shall do this l@ter!

  • haha, go go!

  • heee jouzu ne... watashi yori jouzo kamo.. iya!

kuyashii!! :.( I think you have have been switiching back and forth for formal to informal though... maybe it was just the questions.. So how did you learn Japanese? you actually have a few year on me.. and kanji.. I dunno that much.. I've done all Japanese video.. demo jishin ga nai ka na...

  • haha, definately. My classmates/teachers always found it amusing that the longer I talked, or more frustrated I'd get I'd start leaving off more 'desu' etc., and would just slide into casual speech. Yeah, the questions were scripted closely to how they were originally mailed to me so that's why they're formal. My answers were just me babbling lol :) thanks for watching!

  • whoa, sorry! I meant to click "reply" on your lastest comment but i clicked "remove" instead. Um... I don't remember it all but only the questions were scripted. I kinda drafted what points to address when I answered the more substantial questions but everything else I remembered from class d_d; sorry for the delete, again!

  • hahaa, yay! That's really good! I'm glad it was fun for you! I hope the dual subtitles were helpful too! Its nice to be able to read the words you can't exactly hear, ne?

  • Hey welcome back

  • :) thanks!

....Wait. Why is your name

Anyway, it's great to see your video again.

  • lol long story from an old friend...I don't even remember. But the name stuck, just because it was kinda cute.

  • Yesssss! Episode 7:)

  • haha, now all I have to do is make it!

  • please keep your videos coming.

I am studying japanese and although it is difficult, its actually a lot of fun.

Anyhoo, thanks a lot for making your videos.

Your videos are really helpful to people like me who want to take learning japanese seriously.

    Thanks a lot

  • :) alright then! thank YOU for watching! I'm glad my videos can be helpful!

  • Wow I am glad oyu make videos. I can relate to most of the problems I am starting to have. But living in oklahoma is worse. especially when other black people find out I study japanese, and that I am going to japan in a few months. They always ask if I am in the military and then they are shocked when I say no, and explain to them I am going to college in japan. Anyway keep making the vids! Glad to see you are back on youtube :D

  • Wow, oklahoma!? that's out there. Do they have japanese in schools or do you self-study? In anycase, I can definately understand how that would seem weird to other people ;) i get that all the time. Good luck though, and have a good time in Japan!

  • Yea at hte university I am currently at there ar ejapanese students, but they're usually exchange students there are only 10 of them that are enrolled, but I just got really active in the japanese student assoc. and became an officer, and was taught by a friend who just graduated, and is working in Tokyo. But at UCO in edmound the japanese population is much large. I think around 2,000 because it gets advertised in japan more so than OU. But OU does offer classes and you can minor in the langaug

  • you can minor in the language. I actually had a harder time studying Turkish even though I took it in highschool. But because I showed my interest in Turkish culture I am well connected into the Turkish community here in OKC, Dallas, and Houston, and I have lived there before. So I know the difficulties of learning a new language. I spent some time studying Spanish, and so now I want to focus on japanese. So I will be going to APU in Japan soon :)

  • It has been a long time since your last video. In fact I've not made one for long time as well. I've actually done a 5 random facts vid already when the whole tagging thing was crazy big on Youtube.

But I'm not inspired to make a vlog and hopefully soon after that I hope to do another karaoke type one.

  • haha, aww! Waste of a tag! Lol jk. :) thanks for watching!

  • I'll still do a 5 facts vid!! About time I showed my face again

  • my japanese sentence structure sucks, but here i go and hopefully it makes sense:

    だれと日本語を話すの勉強?クラスメイト?一人で?

    話すの勉強は難しいと思う。

again forgive my grammar. i havent studied in like a month and it surely flies out the brain.

  • haha, yeah! I pretty much practice on my own now...haven't had a partner for 2 months at least. Haven't really studied for that long either. Ohhh, summer break! :) thanks for watching!
