  • This is great try randlesomeguitar.webs.com for more video guitar lessons!!!

  • he's using alternate picking retards... it wouldn't sound that clean or precise if he were just using pull-offs. Shows how much some of you know about guitar if you can't even hear him picking the opens.

  • @88SLLS

also it helps to use a fairly light pick, I couldn't do it at first with my green dunlop picks. .88 mics tortex's

  • Hood tut, however Angus played it with alternate picking

  • This guy reminded me of the " Women " P.E teacher in scary movie , it had to be said

  • once u got it down, u can stop!

  • you make me crazy O_o

  • it's just beautiful, it's too cool, it's too awesome, wooooow !!

  • cool!

  • This version is very easy! Try it without pull- offs! ALTERNATE PICKING

  • Is it all alternate picking or all down strokes?

  • @Abs9106 Hello! My opinion is, that angus doesn't play any pull- offs!!!! The whole lick is played with alternate picking!!!

  • what are your amp settings??

  • I like your shirt :)

  • Your using Angus' SG also. Love it man

  • Hey man,

im 15 and i play the guitar for 5 months , i think you tutorials are very nice . :)

    Greets and Rock on!

  • Great lesson, thanks!

  • i have to press down my finger hard, then pick up my finger all the way to generate a sound with my pull off. Doing this makes it almost impossible to play fast! It doesnt seem possible to play fast because, if i switch from my 4 to my 7 too fast, then the pull off of my 4 doesnt make make a sound!

  • I just tap the string. I dont pick.

  • @FroggerFilm Listen to the record, what makes the part work is the constant click of the pick attack, and the "pumping" effect of the alternate picking. If you play it with just hammers and pulls you have a simulation of the part minus all the "x factors" that make it groove.

  • wow I already learned it! thanks to you

  • Whaaaaaaaaaaaat :O

  • very cool and easy to learn thanks

  • You dont even need to use a pick, you can do it with ur finger only

  • I really suck timing my fingers on my string at the same momment as i hit the string with my pick in the begining :( Any tips?

  • @sejer95 practice...

  • freakin wicked man

  • wow awsomest song well played n taught lol n lol mm its just how is the picking ?? so it could sound exactly like ur playing the song really fast lol??

  • I kno the song, and howe to play it, but i cant do it soo fast, any tip?

Should i play downwards and press, then upwards and play the 0 note? or just play it down? (Do you understand what i mean? im not from english speaking, so im not sure how to say it ^^)

  • good.

  • redneck

  • i used this vid .. check my chennel to see the result ... :-)

  • im sure charlie sheen has that shirt

  • how do u make it sound so good ive been trying everything and it just sounds so quiet when i do it

  • Standard tuning?

  • @FreeTVideo yep

  • @Epic501 I thought so. I tried it on my guitar and sounded the same ^_^ but a little slower xD

  • ooo q es maestro xp

  • My left hand is damn slow too but i keep practicing every day and i keep getting better, but i'm still far away. I have a Sqiuer bullet strat and an Ibanez TS7 effect, but I just can't get the right tone out of it

  • awesome *-*

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing.

  • great musician,,,

  • I love the sustain!

  • This was great ! Thx man

  • awesome vid, helped me play the riff very well and i like that u go each note one by one it helps alot. YOU ROCK!! the only problem with the song is that everyone just wants to learn the intro riff so nobody posts the rest of it, can u please also post the rest of the song.

  • WAY more in depth than any othere vids

  • very good teacher!!!!!thanks!!

  • what do you set the amp to gain, bass. treble etc.

  • ah that melody.... 0:01

  • Very nice

  • It's not a pull off ! He plays each not! have a proper listen!

  • @strpro You are right! It's all alternate picking. No cheating like pull-offs and hammer ons. So this lesson is wrong.

  • lol fucken intense :L

  • Good Instructions! Thank You!

  • This is an awesome alternate picking lesson.

  • i've tried to get this on & off for about a year...guess i need to buckle down & work on it daily. i always seem to leave it & come back to it, but get distracted or frustrated. it's so simple, yet so challenging. 133bpm/pick each note...ok!

  • My right hand seems to be up to scratch, but my left hand is just too damn slow. any tips?

  • @unionty I would say slow the lick down and practice it with a metronome slow at

first and faster each day! The lick itself is a great exercise, I would practice it with

only the right hand then with hammer ons and pulloffs, then with alternate picking

every single note. Thanks for watching!!! I have a new website coming soon with

    tons of vids!!

  • @unionty just start masturbating with yer left

  • @unionty On the left hand use the ring finger instead of the pinky, Youll be playing it fast in seconds. I play it with hammer-ons and pull-offs (but higher the gain on your amp).

  • @Tott26 Exactly. Pull offs and hammer ons is definitely the way this licks should be played.

  • @unionty masturbate with your left hand more.

  • dzienx ;) Super grasz :P

  • perfectguitar to use with this song

    lol

  • @yankovic1234 thanks!!

  • It's more bad ass without the pick hand but as long as it sounds good. =]

  • nice nice nice

  • @SlashElectric Thanks!

  • Hardest song to play ever: this one

  • Your amazing:) :)

  • souds like the open b string is about 1/2 behind everything else

  • u r crazy!!! love it man!!! keep up the great videos

  • 10/10 for this lesson!

  • gibson sg faded vintage

  • I've got the first minute slowed down to 1/2 speed for all to hear exactly how Angus did this in the studio. Then, I did an increase in 10% graduations up to 100%. I challenge anyone to recreate this at 1/2 speed using hammer ons/pull offs. It's easy to hear when it's slowed down. There is a subtle, but all important accent on the downbeat to get it sounding like Angus. This requires the the open B to be upstroked and then the accented downstroke on E flat. Hear if for yourself......

  • hey dbarber please watch my video and comment. please. i would like to hear your opinion and im 14 old /watch?v=OGk0oi89JeA

  • whats the tuning ??? plz answer

  • @imlikelikeiam Standard A440

  • Thxx so muchhh!!!!!! :DDD

  • @AIRSOFTCANADAdotcom You are welcome, thanks for watching!!

  • Do I have to hammer down on the strings in the 4th and 7th fret or "play"them?

  • @thielster Pick the 4th and 7th frets and pull off to the open B which is every other note.... thanks for watching!!

  • guys would it be wrong if i only play it with a downstroke?

  • @georgeion58 id say it be harder but its whatever works best for you

  • @ymlrox7 ok thanks :)

  • @ymlrox7 I agree!!

  • @georgeion58 Nope. In fact, Angus Young usually only down picks in live performances. On the album version, he alternate picks.

  • @georgeion58 It's totally up to you, whatever is the most comfortable, its not fast picking because every other note is pulled off, so that would be fine, alternate of downstroke picking!! Thanks for watching!!! DB

  • can u tell me what pickups are in that sg your playing they sound damn good....thanks from ohio

  • @fishingandsleeping This was a cheap faded SG that I purchased used at a music store for around 300.00 I believe! The pickups are stock SG Faded is the model I believe!! Thanks for watching!!

  • he sounds like freeza from dragonball z... who agrees?

  • @GodOfJumpers lol "goku u cant play guitar like this u fool" XD

  • @adrianisthemaster Thx for watching!!

  • @GodOfJumpers Hmmmm, don't know him,,,,,he must be cool huh???? LOL, thanks for watching!!

  • @live2lovemusicc: studio version is definitely picked, you can hear the picking very clear. But in de videoclip and live Angus plays it alot without picking, but I have seen version wear Angus is picking live. How dbarber1000 is playing is the only right way;)

  • @fr4nk45 Thanks alot!!! I agree, there are several ways to do it, and all of the different ways are great for practicing!!

  • yeah, easy to do it sitting down, but do it the angus style:

running like mad around or rolling on the floor

  • @drakex90 My video room isnt big enough.........LOL I hear ya, Angus rocks, the great thing about finger muscle memory is,,,when you get the riff down really good, you could be able to do it upside down without even thinking about it, it justs comes naturally after doing it so many times!!!! Thanks!!!

  • Scarface-AC/DC

  • @erperejildo Thanks for watching!!! Love em both!!

  • Originally it's not picked

  • we got the same guitar yessssssssssssssssssssssss

  • @eagleeye2391 Very cool guitar..... especially for the price,,,thanks for watching!

  • omg o.O

  • Thanks to the dude that made this video i been messing with this intro for about an hour and i got the time down but the numpty who gave me the tab started me on the dam open B now i got the strum style down and can use it in any combo shouldn't take no time to adjust the starting note nice one dude :)

  • @damnetwork Sorry bout the first note, yes, it should start on the closed not open,,,,Thanks for watching!!!

  • It's not real unless you TREMOLO PICK IT!

  • @shamif dude if you playing this tune you should be tremolo picking by nature or you just ain't gonna make that speed so any one who has is using a tremolo picking style it comes naturally with speed you know that :)

  • @shamif OK,OK, this is just the way I chose to teach it, you can tremelo pick it as long as it is clean and every note is heard perfectly, you can down stroke it with a pull of on every other note,,,,,,or as Angus sometimes does, you can play it with all pull offs and hold your hand over your head,,,,,,LOL All ways work as long as it is played cleanly!!! Thanks for watching!!

  • it took me some time but i am finaly getting up to speed like this guy

one day i will be my school's angus young :P

  • @fleeper4 Excellent, keep up the good work!!!

  • this is hard like hell O.O''

  • @DarkTuga96 no acctually its really easy you just need to know the chords and practice practice and again practice

  • @IPlayNfsMw I agree Practice, Practice, Practice, it only becomes easier every time you do it..............thanks for watching!!

  • @DarkTuga96 You'll get it...hows it coming now????

  • @dbarber1000 smooth thanks

  • Excellent demonstration! 5*

  • @ClashAce WOW, THANKS!!!!

  • ...ughhhh i cut a string by accident...GOD DAMN IT!

  • Thanks I watched another vid but they didn't give you the frets so thanks

  • Scarface :D

  • good

  • I have been playing guitar for about a month and i now know how to play thunderstruck THANK YOU

  • It's easier to play the intro with 1 hand. Just pull the string when you move your finger from the thread.

  • @Biosyntheticc its easier but it sounds worse if you don't pick it

  • I cant double pick, and watching these ppl doing it makes me MAD

  • too fast and its not supposed to be down strokes!!!

  • is downstroke ?

  • OH MY GOSH! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am 12 and have been KILLING! to know this song!

  • @bigCGM cool im 13 and i just started to pick up a guitar

  • when i do it it doesnt sound so good. idk y

  • @420simpson There are many things. First, it maybe your equipment like your amp or your gutiar is not good. Your beginner squier strat won't sound like $3000 guitar but your amp is the most important thing. Another thing is that the guitar may need a setup. And probably the biggest one is you're a beginner and you need practice.

  • @mosnaidei yeah there are certain songs that I can play that sound really good, then when i try some other songs they sound way wrong.

  • @420simpson Well didn't songs require different tones so yeah.

  • do you help me with this i just started and i can get it half way thanks

  • You are an inspiration.

  • haters shut the fuck up go watch your little hannah monntana shit this dude rocks
