  • This music made that level so much creepier than it was supposed to be.

  • who else at about the same time as a child played Resident Evil at about the same time as they did Earthworm jim, and then was like OH!

  • Ehhh,the moonlight sonata...

  • it's SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD :'O

  • I guess they wanted to put in a stage with classical music just like they did with "Night on Bald Mountain" with the first game.. if they eve make a Earthworm Jim 3 they ought to follow tradition... maybe Mozart or Tchaikovsky next time?

  • Comment removed

  • @Frizzurd They did technically make an EWJ3, but it was shitty.

  • @Frizzurd There's an Earthworm Jim 3...For n64. It sucked anyway

  • The "Moonlight Sonata" was composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Who the kiss is this Tommyboy Tallarico???

  • @Allroundmoviemaker He was a video game music composer. He's done quite a lot of kick ass soundtracks.

  • the first time i ear this precious music, one of my favourites, its in this game when im 12 years, after the resident evil :)

  • The level take place in a digestive system because Villi is a finger like cell that moves food into the gut, and for some reason there are fish plaques, neon signs, pinball bouncers, sheep, house pieces, and even a GAME SHOW!

  • @hiynastrike Is a planet with the form of a digestive system... nobody can imagine something like that except for the creators of Earthworm jim :P

  • @chinoeze26 or It could be a tiny rock with a HUGE bulldog perched on it

  • @hiynastrike Let's just say that anything is possible :P

  • the real name its "Moonlight" by Beethoben

  • such a sad song

  • 27 people are staring into your soul (ytmnd.com fad reference)

  • who else moves his head like Jim in that level when you play this song?

  • tommys voice can be heard synthed in this level. hehe. TENDERRRRR

  • i have a ?....where in sweet buttery Jesus were we that entire level. as a kid i was like........w...t.....f???

  • This music is consists of Pain

  • This level was so soothing...

until you get into the game show.

  • Hehe, its funny. In the first game they mentioned

"Elephants, tigers and blind cave salamanders"

And if you check the game on steam. It says this

"You get to play as a blind Cave salamander (We're actually not kidding this time)

  • this sounds official

  • this puts me to sleep

  • It's weird when hear people say they prefer the SNES or Genesis version, particularly when it's apparent that the CD version represents the sound quality those consoles were trying to achieve. But to each his own.

  • dunno, i like the snes version of this song, it didn't sound like a piano, more like a weird synth making the level more interesting, and by the way, what is earthworm jim wearing in this level? its like a hairless rodent???'....peace

  • @sakaelporro

It was supposed to be a "Blind Cave Salamander"

  • @sakaelporro yea :) snes version is better

  • @michikuTV no

  • @sakaelporro watch?v=DeMWFMg5w50 this version is beautiful

  • @sakaelporro It's a reference to the first game's easy ending for the Sega CD. Or at least, that's how I've always viewed it.

  • greetings and welcome to ask that guy with the glasses :) "insert stupid question"

  • musically a better version then the genesis one but still the genesis version remains best, better gameplay and even better graphics in certain levels.

  • It's all in a matter of opinion.

For I've heard others say virtually the same exact things about the SNES version, or the Saturn and PSX version.

I personally think the Saturn version is the best, visually, gameplay wise, and musically.

Again, it's a matter of opinion.(also, I prefer the normal Genesis version of EWJ though)

  • @filecabinetwoesprod

maybe it is.music wise defnitly but the puppy love levels where off and pasword 2.

  • I agree about Puppy love, but I never saw the use for passwords anyways, since the first one didn't have them.

  • @filecabinetwoesprod

but since it ain't an easy game they come in handy.puppy love pisses you off.serious.

  • True, but I still thought Down the tubes in the first game was more annoying.

  • @filecabinetwoesprod

i haven't played the 1st game allot i have it on genesis and sega cd,the sega cd version has a pasword option tought, and is considerd to be the best version.

  • Ah, I never played the CD version. Though I've played the first on Genesis.

It's all in a matter of opinion though.

  • offcourse.

  • That Theme For A Game is Epic

  • Moonlight Sonata. Beautiful. :)

  • This is one of the most chilling and beautiful pieces of music you will ever hear. Piano Sonata No. 14 a.k.a. "Moonlight Sonata" was written by Ludwig Von Beethoven in the 17th century supposedly for a forbidden lover of his who was 17 at the time. Earthworm Jim 2 would mark the first time I heard this piece. The first time I heard it I loved it and to this day it remains my favorite classical tune of all time.

  • It is the same for me....I heard it the first time a long time ago when I was much younger while playing this game and back then and I loved it so much....and still today I love it A MASTERPIECE

  • @jango52577 Wow... where did you find the history for this song?!

BTW, totally agree with your sentiments!

  • Whenever I see a piano I feel compelled to play this song, just to see if a secret passage opens.

  • Where does this theme come from? It's almost as if... I've heard it before... in Resident Evil.

  • It's basically "Moonlight Sonata" by Ludwig Von Beethoven.

  • Go figure. That theme was heard in Resident Evil as well.

  • the music on the playstation version sounds pretty much the same right?

  • yeah exactly the same

  • I thought so ;)
