Jiraiya showed how powerful he could really be no ninja alive could take on the feat of defeting jiraiya except for two Tsunade and Orochimaru. He died but not in vein. You got to think about it Pain had to have all the paths to defet him that in itself should show how great he was as a shinobi.

The funny thing is that Pain didnt used his full strenght to fight Jiraya but and yet he killed him but when he fought Naruto he used everything he got but still Naruto kicked his ass!

I just noticed jiriaya was trying to get nature energy as he fought pain. And if you watch how jiraiya was taking notes the entire time you can figure it out yourself if you know who pein is. Pein reveals all the secrets as they fought i figured it out after i saw it again but wasnt sure until everyone said it was nagato then i knew it. !!***SMALL SPOILER***!! Dont read this if you dont want to know. Kabuto later does a jetsu that brings back half of the akatsuki including nagato and itachi!!!!!

naruto's fight agains pein was somewhat pathetic, since it was nowhere near a fair fight and even so pein could have killed naruto on several occasions. naruto should have really died in that fight, but ohh well, he is the hero afterall.

@PCDTSME Yeah he could but then again you'd also know that for the Bijou to be captured and extracted, Naruto would have to be alive and if Pain Killed Naruto, Instead of having Sage mode and 6 tails to worrie about, the fully released Kyuubi would appear and not to mention the devastation Madara would bring Nagato if they would have to capture Kyuubi the same way they caught Sanbi (3) meening fighting him to his limit and then seal him

"The Real One Is Not Among Them" Its true because Nagato is not fighting. Hes The one that is controlling all the Pein's
