I never said the v6 was standard on these cars. I know that is was a straight 6 because we pulled the straight 6 out to put the v6 in the car. btw what do you mean by "it's no v6?"
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree!
i am going to get one. what type of engine (chevy v6?) also what is the hp and torque rating and what type of rear end? i was thinking of using a rx-7 motor or find a older supra motor any suggestions? help. i was also wondering if it would be better to use a spitfire (its lighter)
Actualy its not a jag xje top, its a FHC version of the spitfire with an inline 6 instead of an inline 4, and 2 litres instead of 1300/1500. Also beefier at the front and rear.
Really cool!

Does the GT6 have the same cross frame design as a spitfire?(if so)Did you modify your frame or is it stock?

the gt6 is basically a spitfire with a jaguar xje top. The car has stock front disk brakes and factory A arms the rest is modified

dgrcgrl 3 years ago
sorry, FHC is fixed head coupé. Its actualy a fastback body. Michelotte styling if you're interested.

@dgrcgrl FHC, means fixed head , maybe coupe, or car, fixed head mean not a convertible which the brits call a drop head.
