The Devil in X5, is actually called the SHadow Devil. And beauty of rush Jet in MM3!  It uses no energy when you are not on it!

Block Devil himself isn't so bad, it's just the damn Kaizo trap of having a lot of bottomless pits during a boss fight that can REALLY screw you up if you don't have a lot of Beat Whistles.
