I missed the original broadcast but I must say that I've never liked and respected Harper as much as I do now after seeing this video. He did this just for a laugh- I can't imagine too many other world leaders being so willing to do so.

From the UK, Harper stands out as a model of excellent, sensible, dignified, grown-up leadership. He's hardly more likely to turn Canada into the 51st state than Clinton-chums Chretien and Martin (who were more pally with the States than Harper). Harper seems to be re-asserting Canada as a serious, engaged country - much better than the Liberal Canada which, to the rest of the world, always appeared rather mad.

Part 3: The third part to that is camera's are aloud in at the funeral, IF and only if the family ok's it. Have some respect for my fallen comrades that are doing this so hopefully we can eliminate or at least slow down the terrorists. I know you are the type that if or should I say when a terrorist strikes on our homeland you will be the first to criticize the government that they should have done more in Afghanistan.

actually, Harper has made me want to join the army. and martin was the one who sent the soldiers originally. with layton's support. why aren't you blaming them? besides, harper's making government smaller, cracking down on crime, and standing up to China and Iran. and he doesn't pander to the media (except apparently Rick Mercer, but that's ok, becauase Rick Mercer is awesome).

That is SO something a Bush supporter would say. Have you seen that interview with Clinton? I agree that Martin sent them over, that shouldn't have happened. But they werent dying when Martin was in. All of a sudden our casulties skyrocketed with Harper."he doesn't pander to the media" aka loss of freedom of speech and reporting the truth (Why didn't he let the cameras in to take pictures of the soldier's coffins? wow..so, no, thats not what I was getting at. All Im saying is that it seems like Harper doesnt have Canada's best interests in mind. Hes too busy worrying about what other countries are doing. We need to focuss on our national identity. I don't think a "nation within a nation" (what does that mean anyway?) is helping us unify anything right now. Hes just trying to get Quebecois votes, if you ask me.
