@PhillyTacoNYC Yes the 32X has plenty of good games, so does the Sega CD, and yes TMNT is good(I'd disagree about Top Gun), but the AVGN is just a character by James, it doesn't fully reflect his actual opinions, I'm sure he agrees that Sonic CD and Virtua Racer and other games are great. Hell he did an episode on Zelda II, a game that he says he likes.

Yes, Shadow Squadron was a friggin' AWESOME game!!!

It had a very smooth frame rate, very useful 3D radar display, huge star ships you could blow apart piece by piece, and the draw distance was so far away the ships were literally too small to see except for the target indicator brackets that let you know they were there. There was no popping in & out of view.

I wasn't a big fan of the 32x...most of the games were not very good, and the games didn't look much better than the snes at the time.....this was one of only a handfull of good games that came out on the 32x (although i prefered starfox on the snes) I dont think we will see too many reviews of snes games by CGR (he admitted to being a genesis guy growing up...(which is not a bad thing, both systems had tons of great games) Super metroid would make for an awesome review though...

I don't see why this game is called Star Wars Arcade because it is not. The original Star Wars Arcade game had vector graphics. This game has full color graphics. It may be more advanced than the real Star Wars Arcade, but it is not Star Wars Arcade and should therefore not be called that.

It's not referring to the early 80's vector game. There's another Star Wars arcade game that came out in the 90's, around the time of this game. I never played it, but I'm pretty sure that's what this must have been based on.

Man this reminds me of the "Star Wars Trilogy" arcade from the late 90's. I dropped so many quarters into that puppy, I practically bankrolled Sega for a year. Petty complaint: if I played this for too long in one go, constantly seeing the unnecessary apostrophe in "TIE's" would drive me crazy.

I know it could technically be short for "tie fighters", but that's an increasingly archaic method of writing the word.
