Wow, I am amazed at all the cruel comments that christians leave saying that he's sending his own child to hell or that he is raising his own daughter into a meaningless godless life.

It just goes to show the complete lack of of love and understanding most modern day christians have for their own neighbors. No wonder so many people get disgusted by christianity.

i absolutely agree with you. THEY are the ones who are living meaningless lives, worshipping a man that doesn't even exist. he is raising his daughter right. she doesn't have to walk around with the fear of being sent to hell. i can only imagine christian parents trying to explain that to their child, "oh, god loves you, but if you don't worship him he's going to send you to a place where you're going to burn and be miserable for all eternity." imagine how scared that would make their child!

Cute baby. Are you going to allow her make up her own mind about how she feels about GOD ? I tell my kids I will always love them. When my 10 yr. old said she was confused about region I simply told her to seek GOD & that I will always love her no matter what her beliefs are. It doesn't matter what I think only what GOD says.

That is a nice sentiment, superman. However, your daughter is at your mercy for the years in her life when she is most impressionable and unable to make these decisions. Don't fool yourself into thinking that you will provide her with a completely objective take on whether God exists. No parent is objective when it comes to teaching his children, especially when they are young. Train a child in the way he (or she) should go and when he (or she) is old he (or she) will not depart from it.

Some children do eventually depart from the religion of their parents... I'm an example of that.

1) Asserting the validity of your belief without evidence is asinine.

2) Making such a statement is evil and sickening. We're better than you are for that reason alone. I'd never wish this man's child any harm and I hope she has a long and happy life. It's the only one she'll ever have.

heres a clue as far as the old testament goes it does not apply to anyone from the time of Christ to present the new testament does not apply to anyone before Christ. stop getting caught up in old text that half the time is misrepresented and misquoted . "I have come to make all things new..."

Ok, here is a question for you. If the old testament does not apply to anyone from Christ to today, then why do churches, pastors, and apologetics still use and quote it to this day. If it has no meaning for us now then why speak its word and have people alike understand and apply it to their lives when it's not supposed to have meaning to our present day lives?? I'm not that educated in religion, but I've always wondered why christians even bother with the old testament when it doesnt matter.

You know, I resent it very much when people suggest Christianity is based on brainwashing. It may be true, but did you know that gravity yes,gravity! is also a result of brainwashing which commences the moment we are born? As is 2 +2 =4 . I beg you to prove to me that 2+2=4 without reverting to the time-old argument,"2+2=4 because 2+2=4". In actuality , most of everything the world(parents, teachers, books etc) tells us is brainwashing! Not just Christianity.

terrible example with the math problem, if you take math and use any language on this planet, ANY language and you say, is the value of 2 and the value of 2 put together the value of 4, they will say yes. there is nothing to be proven, that simply IS what it is. In languages we have names for values, such as 4 which means ! ! ! !, if you take ! !, and add ! !, you get ! ! ! !, how can that be proven anymore?

An education teaches the current trend or way of thinking so you don't waist your whole life trying to figure out how someone else does math. Would be caius at the grocery store, each item having a different system of pricing. Each store being different.You wanna be brainwashed. Church doesn't brainwash you.
