@elzj99 For me, it's impossible to control my character with automatic. Your character keeps doing random moves. I believe capcom only added that in case some 5 years old wanted to play.

I have videos of me trying SSS on DMC4, and some times someone thinks I'm using automatic, so frustrating...

@XLHGladiator Typically, I play with automatic. When I'm about to face Sanctus, I refund my proud souls for the aerial moves. Much much easier to control... and I didn't know you can fist the Saviors fist here. That'll help me out ALOT.

I've always hated Sanctus. He's so annoying to fight against, but it's almost worth the frustration just to see the way Nero pounds the old bastard with Buster! I laughed at how awesome that move is the first time I played this level.

Man, Sanctus is such a lousy, joyless boss fight it's just insane. All his tactics are cheap ways of forcing the player to focus on every evasive skill they've got, with only tiny windows for offense.

There's a reason exciting adventure stories don't generally culminate in face-offs with feeble old men hiding in big hamster balls. DMC3 even pointed this out when Vergil and Dante agreed Arkham didn't deserve to be the "main event."
