I have owned 1) 71, and 3) 72 Chargers, now my son has 2 of mine, one of which is on the street and strip with a fresh upgraded 440 under the hump hood :))

I found a Plum Crazy Charger in a wrecking yard that had been re-painted red! >:(( I rescued the R/T type of tail lights out of it, now they are in our 72 :))

How much horsepower did the Charger have?

Yup, the Hemi is definitely better, no quesrion about it. I'm not sure how much horsepower the Charger has exactly. It runs in the high 7's though and to run that kind of number in that size of car, you need somewhere around 1,000-1,100 horsepower. The Charger was at the Monster Mopar Weekened again this year last month looking and running good as ever.

sweet :). I watched something (I think it was on Powerblock TV) that tested the rated HP of engines and ran them to see what they really had. The Hemi had about 825 :D. Nothing else came close to it :P.
