i noticed towards the end popping noise from ur exhaust....i'm gonna assume u don't have a pc? cuz i got the same noise coming out...not a big deal....i personally like that noice, but that's just me
yea, sometimes it'll shoot a small flame. I was thinkin about gettin a power commander but people told me its not worth it for a slip on but the trc is a good pipe
yeah no need for a slipon cuz ur not really gonna notice a difference...if u were doing a full system then definitely get a pc. i'm all set with the pc...i'll save my $ for sum HID's
all u need is an allen key and a pair of pliers. in the bottom of the tip on the exhaust cone there should be a small hole where u stick the allen key. turn the screw loose. once it's out take the pliers n grab the inside part of the metal ring n yank that shit out. u might have to take a hammer and a flathead and give the silencer a few taps to loosen it then it will come right out. i thought i had to cut my pipe n all this shit to get it out, but it took me no more than 5 minutes
yeah i think ur gonna have to drill out the rivets.....i think it's because u have the carbon fiber tip that u have no hole to remove the hex nut....i have the s/s can with the tip and it was easy for me to do so
that sux, maybe i can do it and replce the rivets with something else so i an return the silencer when ever i want instead of drilling it out everytime
I removed the db killer. I drilled out the rivets and the allen rench nut was inside. It didnt make it much louder....kinda... but its DEAP ill post a video soon
oh fyi.....when u get a new exhaust and look inside the tip, u'll notice it's clean and no resinate on it, after a while of riding, it will build up and will give the exhaust that nice sound....u might have to wait depending on how often u ride.....for me it took me about a week or so, but i noticed a small tone in the exhaust note in a good way....give it sum time and c wut happens then....u gatta "break" the exhaust in
u should take the baffle out....makes a world of difference....i took mine out but i gatta put it back in before the end of this month for inspection time then it's coming out
with the baffle on, it's 96 db...with the baffle off it's 102 db i personally like it and it sounds like a bike should as far as noise it's not louder than a two bro's and a d&d when ur driving casually around town it sounds a tad bit louder than a stock, but when u open it up after bout 8k rpm's then u really feel the difference take the baffle out n ride around town for a little bit then decide worse comes to worse u don't like it n just put the baffle back in all u gatta do is unscrew 1 screw

that thing sounds like garbage. maybe you should knock out the baffle. the R55 sounds way better.

Where did you get passenger pegs that have the bracket for your exhaust too? I have a 07 GSXR 600 w/ the same pipe. Can't find the right pegs.
kakafacekilla 9 months ago

slipons are a waste of money and add weight, just remove your entire exhaust, headers too.then she will sound mean and FLY!

Yeah, thats ALOT of loss in HP and it will damage your valves because there is no back pressure. Smart one ninja6kid.

Have to have the passenger pegs on it to mount it? Or do they offer another option?
RCSV 3 years ago
You do need them on to cover the space between the mount and the bike unless you get 2 small spacers.
Chamber600 3 years ago
Or shorter screws acually.
