  • You forgot to say how much did you pay for this. Can you advise?

  • @gepeng1983 I paid $520 otd.

  • nice I got a dash 3

  • @willwood487 Definitely a keeper!

  • Is that your first bore snake? Those things are fabulous! :)

  • @Tenacious21 It's actually my third one, but I just recently started using them. They really are great!

  • I have the 4" and the 2 1/2" 686 and love them. One day I'll get the 6" to round out my collection :) Also I completely understand about being to painful to talk about past guns, weve all been there.LOL

  • @ammohead73 You're my hero! I would like a 2.5 inch 686, but they're getting difficult to come by.

  • I went to Bill Goodman's Gun and Knife show at Hara Arena this past Saturday...INSANELY busy. You'd think there was pending legislation, it was that busy. Could barely move! Glad to see gun enthusiasts out in mass...but selfishly, I wish it would have been less crazy! Nice gun, by the way.

  • @Rubberbandballer The guys were telling me that it's usually busy at gun shows this time of year, but also this is the "Fast and Furious" affect. Thanks for watching!

  • Beautiful gun sir! Congrats on the find!

  • @guitarmikey2 Thanks!

  • I recently aquired a no dash 686 .. it's a beauty ...original grips too ;)

  • @tylerwhale666 Were they the wood target grips? I think my grips were actually made for a different revolver entirely.

  • @thebudgetarmory1 Yes , mine are the OG grips made of wood my man. I have seen that Pachmayr rubber grip on numerous revolvers Colt, S&W, Ruger,..they are just nice revolver grips that Pachmayr makes and fairly common.

  • Sweet 686 brother, you just can't go wrong with those (unless you get one with an off center barrel). Glad you were able to stumble upon it my friend!

  • @GunSmokeGuy Thanks! I feel VERY fortunate to find this revolver.

  • Very nice review! Hope she serves you well. I have fond memories of shooting my uncle's 686 when I was a kid and would love to find one in as good condition as yours. On a side note, I hope the job situation improves (or has already) for you. I always look forward to seeing your vids.

  • @wintremute Thank you very much. I still don't have anything permanent, but still doing ok! Thank you very much for your concern!

  • very nice brother

  • @67euroVdub Thank you, sir!

  • ditto on the greensboro gun show..to crowded to even move...thanks for showing

  • @gunsandicecream Sunday was much better though, as far as crowds were concerned. It think they estimated about 8-10k people on Saturday!

  • i have this same vintage 686 no dash since 1985,never sent in for the recall,no problems at all,and its had some frame stretchers sent through it..good looking revolver..been shooting Georgia arms ammo for years good stuff..

  • @phishst1cks That's really good to know. Thanks for watching!

  • looks like a keeper!

  • @doomcannon445 Most definitely!

  • Beautiful gun! I'm in agreement with you, the Python is a tad bit better in the looks and ergonomics department. Not by much-the 686 ain't chopped liver!!!

  • @83rrsou By no means! I had a 2.5 in. 66 about 7 years ago, but the 686 is definitely something special.

  • Yaaay!! New budget armory video!!! I bought a 686P 4" about a month ago and it might be my new favorite range gun.

  • @flexx1987 I don't know why it took me so long to get another revolver. I really do like them.

  • Great vid! Nice haul! GOD BLESS!

  • @TheDaytonDevil Thanks!

  • Those are tac drivers . Congrats !!!

  • @krazy45cat I can't wait to find out. Thanks for watching!

  • sweet!

  • @barnettzack Thank you!

  • nice!! does the older ones have the firing pin block piece thingy? ;o)

  • @kryptos7799 Actually, it's got the two piece osmorator. LOL!

  • THANKS bro !!! great video...lotsa info, and again your presentation is awesome !!!!

  • @mrmezmureyz Thanks, I really appreciate that!

  • Congratulations Sir on your acquisition ... that, is a beautiful firearm. (In life ... somethings are just worth waiting for.)

  • @dcselwitz Thanks!

  • Great video! I have a 6" Model 586 an love it.Keep up the good work!

  • @ItsBigDanBaby I wouldn't have minded a 586, but there just wasn't one available. I don't think S&W is even making the 586 anymore, so yours is definitely a keeper.

  • Had a great time brother, but man I was tired when I got home. Cant wait for you to bring that beauty down so we can put it through it paces

  • @brotherskeepers111 Me too! I even went back the next day to get some stuff I forgot. MUCH less crowded. I gotta get to shooting it soon!

  • Beautiful.

  • @scooter17568 Thank you!

  • ive been meaning to pick up a 686 or 629 classic

  • @futuresolider96 You can't go wrong with either one. Just make sure to check the barrel alignment because it seems like it's not an easy fix.

  • Nice!

  • @WORRO01 Thanks!

  • a real gem Ed, don't know how I missed this video. I'm glad you finally found one that fits your needs. I prefer 38 for edc, but price and availability of ammo in my area has always been an issue here. Once one of the most popular rounds is now so darn expensive to shoot, so thanks for including the maker and prices!

  • @ITHINKUREALESUK Thanks! I've been wanting one for a long time and I'm glad I had the opportunity to buy one. Take care!

  • Very nice snag! I wouldn't mind one of those myself. I hope you enjoy that as much as I think you will!

  • @MrGunlust I am itching to fire it now.
