I like to use knuckles or sonic on this zone I don't have any problems. Not even the final boss. Just take out the claws and spin dash when the platform gets high enough.

If you play as Mega Man there's a little moving platform that will allow you to hit King very easily, and you can stand under it to avoid the rocket strike very easily. But with Bass, King's gonna be the hardest classic Mega Man boss you've ever encountered.

Tips:

1st: Just jump if you are near the hammer.

2nd: Stay under the cannon until destroyed. It will shoot in this pattern: High, low, low, middle, high... forgot.

3rd: If you jump RIGHT under the platform, the spikes will not hurt you.

4th: Keep jumping, obviously. Do not jump if going on a downwards ramp. If out of rings, stay behind.

5th: Hit the cannon. Stay back. Do NOT hit Eggman. Hit the cannon again.

6th: Get this done REALLY fast.

7th: Change gravity in mid air.

Final: Spindash.

i could only beat this with tails since it was much easier it was sooo hard with sonic so i had to spend a couple of hours to beat the game with tails instead xP

Cream is kind off a cheap character, when it comes to boss fights.

However, she was my only option, due YouTube's limits.

I just made this video to show the final zone.

And I chose Cream for the sake of beating this zone fast and with no losses.

And this zone IS hard to beat, especially of you aim for no lifes lost (which I always do in my videos).
