I lived with Ray Campbell (singer) at the time of this show. Great dude, fun band! Lost track of Ray a few years ago though. Last I heard he was in NYC. If anyone talks to him, please let me know what he's up to these days. Really cool to see this vid. Brings back a lot of memories. Thanks for posting. More would be great!
I was at this SHOW LOL.. One ofmy first ska shows ever. Toasters headlined this gig $5 dollar cover. ha ha ha so fricking Rude. MR. Brown! LOL I was rolling with my London Fog that night!! My God is that Matt Parker on Keys??. WOW it's awful! but what a fucking bitchen show that was!!!!!!
I was at The Palomino Club many hundreds of times. I am glad some of the music and atmosphere was captured and saved. It was very much part of the culture of Southern California for many years. Great music in the video.
I was a hugh fan of the donkey show and went to many of their gigs in the late eighties. Much better then No Doubt, and D. S. should of made it big instead of N. D.
post more!!!!! please!! The donkey show were what really got me digging ska. No band I have heard thus far has had as an original sound as them. if you have insomnia..actually you should post everything you have!! Lol effing brilliant.
I didn't know them really well was but was acquainted with them because my brother Tom was their bass player. Got to play a gig with them a long time ago (with my band at that time) - I also helped them in the studio with the opening sound FX on their 'Bali Island' track.
whahaha the keyboard player is master !!
