I think with or without the back up singers, Lee would have preformed just as well. When u got the talent he has, he stands alone regardless. Crystal is also really good, but there can be only one winner, and my steaks are on Lee! When it comes to Casey, it was really no surprise, weather he "rocked it" or not.

I think that Lee and Crystal should have been the top 2, but Casey really got the short end of the stick with that boring song Cara and Randy picked for him.

Id have to say that this performance was definitely my favourite American Idol moment of all that Ive seen! Even though I thought that having the white glow and the people singing in the background would be corny, Lee totally pulled it off and made it work. Personally I just think he has that "WOW" factor. This is the first time an American idol contestant's homecoming video made me cry. I absolutely love this song. He gained so much confidence after he went home and saw everyone rooting for him. He deserves to win. He is a true American Idol.

It is easy to sound bad with a choir and orchestra - just listen carefully to Lee's version of Hallelujah. When the competition gets down to only 3 contestants, the judges should get a seat in the audience and just listen to the show.

Jason Castro sold a million downloads for american idol 2+ years ago with this, and his version was SO much better than this... this made my ears bleed. He's off key in parts, the hallelujah before the drums was rough, and it's way too strained in the last minute. Not entertaining. :(  AI top 3 this year is really low quality compared to all the season's past. Hopefully this will be the last year.
