  • Or, he watches a sweet video on how to heat treat at home...

  • Yo Mike!!.. watch the video, he has his trigger gaurd installed. I'm pretty sure..like us he sends his recievers out before assembly. ...right BYOAK?

  • @shadowdiver1 I'm not sure who Mike is. The only thing I sent my receivers out for is engraving. The video where I riveted that trigger guard in place is on here as well. I don't bend my own from flats, I buy nodak spud receivers. I've thought about bending from flats, but honestly I didn't like the way the tool amortized when you factored in the cost of the flat. If the receivers become hard to get or I get a kit that I absolutely can't find a receiver for I'll consider rolling my own.

  • @shadowdiver1 Also, now that I look at it, this reciever is an older Armory USA receiver that I bought from ohio rapid fire. For some reason the ones that ORF had sold were all parked, which is why it looks grey.

  • Thanks for the sweet videos. I actually broke my leg just prior to building my first AK, so I've been at home studying the full tutorial. I don't think there's any question left unanswered.

  • Did you heat treat before you did the dimples for the swell neck rivets?

  • @mnicholas1977 Was already heat treated. The receiver will dimple easily even after it's heat treated (at least the NDS and AUSA receivers do).

  • sweet vid! your press sounds just like mine when you release the pressure hahahaha

  • anyone build ak's in south florida

i wanted to do 2 rivet builds i have all the parts nds1 parts kits etc.

not worth buying rivet jigs and a press for 2 guns but ill pay someone

if not ill do a screw build

the longer rivets are for the scope rail

  • Terrible lighting and get a better camera but all in all informative .

  • @BOEHHO89 I lit it as best I could. If you'd like to buy me a studio I'll redo the videos :)

  • @BuildyourownAK

where do ya get the rivet tooling? I have quite a few uses for this setup. Thanks

  • @BOEHHO89 Yeah dick.

  • damn i was hoping it wouldnt be this complicated

looks like i wont be building my own ak any time soon

  • @i7q i did a screw build for my first. very easy and is holding up. u will be happy with the results.

  • where can i find this press and the ak tools being use and how much

  • I agree with BuildyourownAK. If you have no idea what he is doing, do not attempt. These are his videos and are shot his own way. If you do not like them, build your own. If you have a serious question, feel free to email him directly. Attacking his videos will get you no where. Do a little research first.

  • Wow, thanks. If you watch the videos in succession you'd have heard where I explained this. If you can't tell that this is a hydraulic press, you probably shouldn't be building guns in the first place.

  • This is a free video showing those that are familiar with this sort of thing a different way to do it. You want a training video shell out some cash; then you have the right to complain. From what you have said so far; it's not a stretch to assume this is not a channel for you. Move on.

  • @JDawginNewHaven Yeah dick.

  • beautiful rivets!!!!!!!

  • If you have to ask, you probably shouldn't know.

  • Neds a little more light. Good content. Tell us where to get the tools. I ordered the DVD.

  • Moondoggy thanks for the videos excellent and free

  • Borring to you,,, Very intresting to me...
