my usual technique is a 4 inch watermelon black flake, with a size 1/0 Gamakatsu EWG worm hook, texas rigged. Cast, let it fall to the bottom, pause, then reel and give a brief tug. Often, the bass love to inhale this right while it's dropping, because of the kind of "dying baitfish see saw movement"

For Senkos i like to use a 3/0 hook .. it just depends on the size of the worm man

I am just getting back into LMB fishing after taking 15 years off. I picked up a bunch of the 5"ers in different colors and sized it up. It looks as though a 4/0 lines up with the "sack" the best.

and if you manage to let it touch the bottom..just drag it along the bottom...litterally slowly drag it...maybe give it a small twitch...then let it setlle..then drag....etc...etc...even if it feels like you are hung up on a rog or stick or something or you feel a little bump...just STOP! the fish WILL do the rest...then you set the hook like MOTHER F'IN BILL DANCE!!! you will feel them grab it spit it and grab it again...or your line will start moving away from you....

I generally run the darker colors...i can hook fish after fish on 1 senko..it gets so bad to where i start picking peices of it off and re hooking it up because it gets tore up so bad..i stick to the purple pearl or rootbeer/green copper..and run it literally all day...and even when it starts getting DARK!!! oh yes i said it!!! we were headin back in and i was casting infront of the boat as far as i could and letting it settle..pick it up a couple times and BAM!! FISH ON!!

6 or 7 inch senko ladies and gentlemen...with a 4/0 or 5/0 gami...run it weedless....yamasenko's are all i fish with as far as soft plastics go...they are amazing...the bigger the bait the bigger the fish...and the length gives it amazing fall movement...so fish WILL hit it as soon as it hits the water...NO JOKE!!! generally in the summer when they are active and there is fish, it wont even touch the bottom without getting picked up...

@sirmelancholia In the video he told you what to look for. Senkos come on 3-7" lengths. Depending on the length of the senko your fishing dictates what size hook to use as long as it can reach the smooth part of the senko.

Senkos rocks, texas, wacky, they just make the bass lose the fuss... if you got the chance, get ur hands on some deps kincoos, the only stick bait that can beat a senko in my own opinion, they got less salt but got iron oxide (smells like human blood) , color watermelon/green pumpkin, wacky it up, and thats the ultimate bass lure!!

my uncle swears by these senko worms, i am trying them for the first time on saturday.

the berkley gulp minnow is a great scented plastic as well. That has been my most successful lure to date.

The Senko is a great bait, I fish senkos all the time, but of course they don't last and a bit expensive. I tried the Yum and Bass Pro equivalents, and they work real well and you can't to wrong using them.

senkos are great. Been catching bass all over the place with these. pumpkin with flakes and a 3/0 offset hook is all u need. they kinda get beat up quick but none the less it produces a catch.

alot of other manufacturers are making senkos now. most are cheaper, and many hold up better then yamamoto. give venom a try if you can find them, they are my favorite of all the brands. they are heavy with salt and fish hold on longer b4 you set the hook. i also agree, best lure ever!

do u have a boat if you do and can use it go find a tree or grass basicly cover and either go soft plastic like frog near tree worms/lizards maybe go hard plastic with crankbaits near cover like grass ect not trees maybe a jig near trees comment me back for more info
