i haven't played gw1, so i was wondering how do people party up for these dungeons? the current mmo i play, you have to sit in the city all day spamming zone chat for a group lol...even if you're in a guild.
@Eternalux You can either party up with other people that want to run the dungeon as well, which requires you to talk to other players via chat or party search, or you can run the dungeon by yourself by using Heroes or Henchmen to fill your party.
@Maverickhey1 My comment was in reply to Eternalux's comment about the dungeon party system in the original Guild Wars, from my personal experience playing the game. I know nothing about how it will work in Guild Wars 2, although I'm assuming it will be similar if not the same.
@MrGrahamBuddha Oh, I get it. Well, they havent mentioned anything about a henchmen system... doesnt seem like something they will do it in GW2 since they are trying to enforce community this time around. It also appeared you still need a few people to do the storybound dungeon (It just doesnt have to be an organized group) and the explorable mode which is the harder versions actually need a full group of organized players to do it and the heroes will not be helping you through it.
@Maverickhey1 Source? Lol, Just kidding. I like that they're pushing more towards a sense of community within the game, but I'd still like to have the option to play with a party of Heroes.
I'm wondering about this max lv caps for the ''nooby'' dungeons. Like you can max be 4-5 lv's above each dungeon. Let's say you're a lv 80 and goes into a lv 35 dungeon. That's means you will get nerfed down to lv 39 or 40 If I'm correct? Okay that sounds fun, this way the dungeons won't be solo able and will have unlimited fun. But.. yeah here comes the ''but''. How will this nerfing effect weapons and armor? Since you was lv 80 will you still have your 80 gear? Or how will this be solved? :)
@ReMarig00o you will have the same gear you have just scaled down, so the stats and damage it does will be lowered to the lvl of the dungeon, but the gear will look the same :)
Guess game industry heard what gamers want, cause now the game standards are so much higher.Inovating new ideas are the key to that.I have to say that i agree with the politic this game is moving towards to.Dont want an other same-ol-mmo-wow-clone.Wonna play something new and make my money worths back. Thumbs up if you agree for ''game makers'' to notice.Cheers to you all
For some reason I can't help but feel like they make it sound much better than it actually is. After 1 month of doing these the grandeur will probably unfortunately wear off.
@Darkwingrocker Well if thats the way you wanna take it, its not like any dungeon in WoW gets unique, its just the same thing over and over in a different area, that never gets old.
The time it takes to get old depends on how much you like the play style of GW2.
If you prefer the "stand there and faceroll action bar" style of combat in WoW then GW2 will be too in depth for you.
@Exgaves I like the whole dodge mechanic, the only thing I don't like about it is sword and dagger thieves getting so many roll-away-from-combat mechanics. How am I supposed to use my dagger or sword then?
Also it said that dungeons will only have like 3 different paths or so, not unlimited. So eventually you will be running repeats and then those repeats get old. GW2 isn't as perfect as they make it sound, no game is or ever will be.
@Darkwingrocker But they have also implemented dynamic events into each path, so the idea behind it is that each time you do a specific path it will be a different experience with different objectives along the way to the same goal. If you did the dungeon just to get the armor and weapons from it, you will have a different experience each time. If you play the same dungeon for fun every day, then yeah, it will become a repeat eventually, but you have to intensely milk it dry first.
is it just me or did those guys have an almost awkward gay moment at 8:05? personal wish maybe i know LOL jk this game is going to be AWESOME!!!

Yeah yeah everyone says that...
WoW is old, so it isn't going to be suprising that this game will probably be better.
But already saying that this game is better than WoW is prejudice. You probably haven't even played it yet.
