is there any way to reload the old czech circa 1954 8mm ammo? we have 900 rounds of it and itd be a shame for all that brass to just end up in the trash (local recyclers wont take casings)
@jaratt85 Mmmmm, I don't think so, not unless you have a special deprimer because that Czech stuff is berdan primed, and you can't use a regular reload kit with that (at least not that I"m aware of)
Thanks so much for a speedy reply. Sounds like a great product. One thing I learned from your videos is that I don't have to buy an expensive case trimmer to reload rifle cartridges. That was a good thing to learn! Take care.
@theflyoverzone I like it a lot...it's heavy, but it's never failed me as a portable and light workbench. I would just recommend cutting a 2X6 or 2x8 pressure treated chuck of wood, so that you can use it as a flat surface (like I usually do). For most small projects outside of guns/reloading, it's been very good and sturdy enough to use for any home improvement/DIY project I've worked on in the pass. FYI, that table is 14 years old...so it'll last!
Nice setup you have going there. It is nice that Lee provides the shell holder with the Die set. I wish RCBS would do the same. As far as cost savings for reloading; It depends on wether u can get bulk or surplus ammo for the caliber that is being used. I have some rifle calibers that run $30 to $40 per box of twenty rounds. In this case it is much cheaper to reload. The main cost is the initial investment in the press and Dies; trimmers so forth. I just enjoy reloading to begin with and
@79thOVI Tnx...yeah, if I can get a box of ammo (20 rifle rounds) for about $10 or less, then reloading isn't a cost saver really...but next to shooting, I find reloading to be almost as enjoyable...and surprisingly relaxing!

Sort of off topic, but what do you think of your Black and Decker Workmate 225? I am thinking of buying one. Thanks.
