  • wow that sucked you weren't showing any dropping or turning or anything you suck and so does your vids!!!

  • Not called people mover, that was the one in disneyland. This one is tomorrowland transportation authority. It says in the video TTA view

  • is this based off a certain ride?

  • I still like Disneyland space mountian better, theres muisc and a way better entrance queue

  • Quick question, when you actually got on the "ride" was it the touring ride? I cannot remember the name of it for the life of me but I was really confused for a minute.

  • @MoonLitCat Yes, it's called the PeopleMover and it takes you across Tomorrow Land as it tells you about its attractions.

  • @ekillewe good job

  • omg! u put this on and video taped it on my birthday! Kinda aqward 0.o but still yay! ^o^ =D XD

  • disney always has the best queue lines :D i dont mind waiting cuz there is so much to look at and do

  • Even with the fast pass in disney world, it still takes an hour to on. The line in 2008 when we went, It was soooooooooooo long. I didn't even get to ride it.

  • So my neighbor AttractionsMagazine just told me how he started dunking, he s not even as tall as me but jumps over 8 inches taller! What he used the training plan over at (50-inch-vertical(dot)com) and gained over 15 inches in his vertical leap!

  • I want my 5 minutes and 26 seconds back!

  • I think Space Mountain should be in Epcot and not Magic Kingdom.

  • Not testing mode its in BETA TESTING People, OMG FOR GODS SAKE ITS BETA NOT TESTING BETAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, Anways i always wanted to go to WDW, OMG Intreractive games!

  • Sorry if this sounds stupid but what d you mean soft opened?

are they going to close it and finish then re-open it again?

  • @Smallpoxproductions A soft opening is when an attraction opens before its announced date without any announcement.

  • YAAAY POSTED ON MAH BIRTHDAY!

  • im going to disney tomorrow! i cant wait

  • Wow it looks so much better! Im going to disneyworld next week on tuesday! :D

  • I remember riding it before the refurbishment. It was like that tube scene in The Black Hole. I wonder if it's still like that. Still, I love what I see.

  • this is my favorite ride in disney but i shouldnt be complaining because i am going back this year but last year when i went i was so pissed that it was closed down and when i went on the people mover and it said that it was going through changes i almost screamed at least i will get a new experience.

  • AWESOME. i cant wait to ride the new one. im RLY happy they kept the same music. :D

  • Wouldnt the games slow the line down?

  • @TheDISNEYWORLDfreak Actually, many played while the line wasnt moving, it said like "Stay here" or something like that, I think they monitor the lines... :)

  • i was on the ride in 2006 when it broke down

  • the first time i rode this, i got scared, come on, i was young!!!!!

  • THAT WAS MEH BIRTHDAY!!! However I wasn't there when it reopened.. LOL

  • @imagineer5986 IT WAZ MY UNBIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! happy birthday though...

  • Amazing. Can't wait to go there next month!!! You guys do an awesome job.

  • wow the new one is sick!!!!

  • this ride is AWESOME!

  • cool i wanna ride it so bad but we cant get down there

  • why does the queue have that thing in the middle like that around 0:33

  • yes, the tta audio does suck. post show on the speed ramp out of space? i like it.

  • it gives the guests somethin to do while they wait 2 hours for their turn.

  • the load areas are a lot safer now with the gates.

  • so, i work at space mountain, and yes its fantastic. if you look at 2 mins and 24 sec of the video, you'll notice a small silver breif case. 2 weeks after the attraction reopened, that lil case is gone.. idk who took it lol but its gone!!

  • lol what do u think happened to it :P

  • the video games section of Space mountain is like a Space Arcade

  • Sooo. Is the ride cart still one by one?? I have never ridden that one. I rode the two by two in California and I loved it. I really wanted to ride the one by one cart to get the full affect.

  • The refurb looks good!! It still looks like they maintained the classic (70s) feel of the attraction while updating some areas that badly needed it. I noticed the new gates at the loading area. That is something they definately needed and it looks good. I can't wait to get there to ride it!!!

  • Very nice! The additional details they added to the queue and post-show definitely enhance the experience, while not taking away too much from the parts of the ride that make Space Mountain a classic!

  • Yeah right! Video games, enclosed loading area, rockets that dont glow, totaly blew the classic away!! Sucks

  • Nice job I love the new Space Mountain

  • Looks like space mountain went green and I like the loading and unloading dock

  • wow this is nice!

  • An Altair system? WTF?! Is there really such thing or did Disney put in a random assassin's creed reference in their attraction?

  • @blaczk Well that's dissapointing, because imo that was what really needed to be upgraded.

  • Old star tunnel music<3 Thank god!

  • So they basicly shut it down for visual effects. What about the visual effects on the ride itself has that changed? did they add more lights and sounds..

  • Glad to see no problems with space mountain, i thought they would ruin it but they didnt.

  • Yes they did!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank God they kept the Star Tunnel music. The sign used to be red. Oh well, they're always telling us to go green anyway. Looks like Space Mountain went green too. Ha ha.

  • same exact thing that i thought lol

  • what about the ride it self ?...

why wasent you filming on the ride ?

  • OMG they kept the old music!! I couldnt be happier!

  • its the same ride...

  • tey kept the star tunnell yea

  • you probably were too busy but did they keep the silver balls on that floor? 0:12

  • i couldnt figure out how to play the game wen i went yesterday

  • Great quality, good job!

  • I wonder why it's called Star Port Seven-Five.

  • Space Mountain originally opened in Orlando in 1975.

  • @EdEatsBrains Space Mountain opened in 1975 is the reason.

  • I;m going tomorrow

  • Have Fun!!

  • Are the video camera's when your on the moving platform at the end of the ride still there?

  • They were covered when I went through. The wall opposite them has been painted bright green, presumably for some kind of green screen effect there.

  • It is temporarily covered, but it is coming back. Better then ever. I don't know the full details, but it is coming back. There just not done with their magic quite yet. *wink*

  • Looks so muhc better than before! It really needed this and it is more modern now!

  • Nice!!! Cant wait to go back there now!!

  • Wait no single rider. :/

  • no sweetie, no single rider.

  • THIS MADE MY DAY!!!!!!! THANK YOU

  • The "mini-models" are still there. The windows on the right side of the queue are all intact and look better than ever. The games have been added to the left side walls.

  • im just glad they didn't mess with the music!!!!!

  • What's the difference between the Alpha and Omega sides?

  • they are mirror images of the same ride

  • exactly, just mirror images.

  • @LiLRedneck20

actually, one side hasten feet extra track than the other. it's odd why, but trust me, they do.

  • They do that so they can switch sides for the cars

  • @blaczk

Agreed, I don't need crappy video games to keep me occupied in a queue. What happened to immersive themeing to keep one occupied?

  • they've changed and added so much last time i went on!! cant wait to go to WDW for grad nite this year!

  • Are they going to do the same at disneyland in Cali?

  • They all ready did at disneyland it was closed for 2 in a half years it reopened in july 2005

  • but with out the games and cool post-show.

  • At 0:19 there is a list of all the Space Mountains.

  • Tomorrowland Station MK-1: This Space Mountain

TL Space Station 77: Disneyland's Space Mountain

Discovery Landing Station: Space Mountain Mission 2 (Disneyland Paris)

Ashita Base: Tokyo Disneyland's Space Mountain

HK Spaceport: Hong Kong Disneyland's Space Mountain

  • is the ride itself still the same?

  • It looks that way the rockets are the same and it still has no onboard soundtrack

  • yes. ridepath is the same.

  • thanks

  • I was in Disney World in June for Star Wars Weekends nad seen them doing somekind of work to the exterior of Space Mountains ceiling

Where they on the tram that rides through Space Mountain?

  • over the summer tta and space were being worked on. if they were on the roof, they were probly pressure cleaning it.

  • dude, that sucks that it closed right before you got on. hopefully another day it'll be working :P

  • I want to go to Disneyworld so much.

  • The portion of the queue at 0:45 reminds me of the original Disneyland Space Mountain (1977-2003) queue.

  • even though i think this will be awesome and it's clear that they've put alot of work into it - i'll still miss the point where you can see people riding on space mountain in tomorrowland. but now since they've taken off the glow in the dark stripe on the rockets, they probably either got rid of it or you'll hardly beable to see the rockets on the ride zoom by.

  • only think i dont like is the interactive games in the queue it just isnt space mountain

  • Awesome!

  • hey are there any loops on Space Mountain??

  • In Paris, yes.

  • @DReifGalaxyM31 but what about in MK? does it even do any spirals in which you go upside down? bc i never rode it before and i might ride it in Spring

  • not on wdw space.

  • The new enclosed que sucks. It needs to open as it should be

  • even with the refurb i never want to ride this again after going on the one in dl

  • it is still the same ride, though, correct?

  • yes.

  • Whoopee!!! The music hasn't changed! Won't be long now before the idiot at Disney who thought up the new suckish narration in the Tommorrowland Transit Athourity will come to his senses.

  • dude i am with u all the way

  • 10-4

  • Let's hope they don't change the music by November 21st. So glad to hear the music back and crisper than it has ever been.

  • I'm so glad the music is the same!

  • About time. Looks funky fresh again. :D

  • That old fashioned type face and retro quality reminds me of Fallout 3

  • I'm quite pleased with this refurb to be honest. Maintaining the ride's classic layout without being changed or unaltered was great. Even though the ride underwent "minor" changing, the little things they did are a vast improvement over what they had. I'm excited to get back and ride this!

  • I'm really pleased with this. If my understanding is correct, the only thing that appears to have been inherited from the current Space Mountain in CA is the on-ride photo. Not a complete overhaul like what was rumored. I'll be there tomorrow with some friends, hopefully we luck out with a soft opening and get to actually ride, lol.

  • Looks pretty much the same which I'm actually very pleased with. My understanding is that a lot of the work went into a new control system which should reduce down time. No one likes a broken down Space Mountain!

  • How many Disney rides have games while you wait in line? I never imagined this when I went to Disney as a kid years ago.

  • A few do. I know for FACT that Soarin' at Epcot has infrared games that are really cool.

  • 7 months just for that!?!?!?

  • yup. they need to really think things through better when they do this stuff....

  • From what we understand, a lot of refurbishment time went into making the ride easier to operate for cast members and safer guests. It's the behind-the-scenes improvements that guests don't see that make a difference.

  • They didn't change the music. THANK GOD!

  • Woot. One of the best parts =)

  • Agreed, I was really getting worried that they'd change it.

  • lucky!!

  • Looks awesome! How did you get such a clear video of it? Obviously Attractions Magazine is much more advanced then the average tourist but still...

  • Actually, today I did walk in as an average tourist with an HD camcorder. The new lighting inside Space Mountain is fantastic and can be credited for this video looking good. It's lit like a stage production and really creates a great ambience that was missing from the cold white and blue color scheme of the past.

  • looks great

  • I cannot wait to see this in person!
