Gelu fue la mejor cantante de los 60's, al principio imitaba a la primera Mina, pero después demostró su personalidad y talento, sobre todo en directo, tuve la suerte de verla siendo practicamente un niño, estuve pesimamente dirigida y desaprovechada por su casa de discos algo parecido a Rosa de Ot

Hace ya algunos años, viviendo en Alicante, escuché por la radio que Gelu estaba trabajando en el ayuntamiento de Campello, que es un pequeño pueblo costero junto a la playa de S Juan en Alicante.

Vivía en un apartamento en plena playa de Muchavista, un edificio alto de color blanco. Esto es lo que sé acerca de ella.

I haven't a clue what she's on about...but it sounds great! And dig that velour gown and earrings that could double as Christmas tree ornaments! Well, this was filmed in 1967. I love Pet's version, but this is great fun as well. Now if only somebody could post Petula singing (lipsyncing actually...) her version on The Ed Sullivan Show from January, 1967!!

Probably true what you say. But you can't really judge the two versionslike that. It's like comparing apples to oranges. To take a song and have to sing and translate it into another langauge, then do it well without errors, is no less than an monumental feat.I don't thinkg she was even Spanish, but Romanian.
