  • I can't believe that even breastfeeding is raising a question of legitimacy in the USA.

  • You are right don't have shame like animals do your all jobs publicaly. Don't wear clothes let's see your naked body to comment correctly. You're well developed and advanced. Animals are not civilized because they don't know how to weave cloth. Now a days it is very hard to find out girls, the large numbers are sex

  • I thank God that He gave me the ability to provide the best nutrition for my baby. It doesn't matter if you cover up or not while breastfeeding, because I have run across people who are even offended by a woman who is completely covered. You can't please all the people all the time. Be modest, yet put your child's need for food above the few who feel women should not breastfeed. God gave females this gift, not to be ashamed of, but to provide. Modesty yes, common sense also...certainly!

  • Ok, I have a small rhetoric question: Do farmers cover a cow with a blanket when the calf is drinking :o)? Do they remove cows with calves "from the eyes of the public" and hide them in some dirty or remote place? (public bathrooms tend to be extremely dirty, too dirty to even do there what they are made for)

If men were able to have babies and breastfeed, breastfeeding would be talked about on major TV shows and visible everywhere. Anti-breastfeeding is just plain old discrimination :p :o)

  • @KasiaCzary I agree; the bathroom is no more suitable for a baby to eat in any more than an adult.

  • pathetic how people think you should cover up if your breastfeeding but it's fine to be exposed if you're dressed like a skank

  • I'm all for breastfeeding babies and stuff, but I DON'T think anyone has the right to walk around a grocery store, or clothing department with the big nasty titty hanging out so my family has to see it. >;/ There's nothing wrong with breastfeeding, but there IS something wrong would not being MODEST about it.

  • there's nothing wrong with nursing in public... but if you expect everyone else to respect your right to nurse, respect them and cover up (even if your child doesnt like blankets... wear a shirt that will not reveal anything when the baby is nursing) there's nothing wrong with wanting people to respect your rights NOR respecting theirs as well. it's hypocrisy to want anything else.

  • Breeastfeeding in public is a ego trip. Women can do it at home, in a car , but when a woman flips out the breast , a big one, in a public place, I tell them it is wrong and to cover up. Modesty is the REAL issue and control of ego. Not hunger. Never Forget.

  • As long as you don't mind some guys eyeing your boob(s), go ahead. That will happen. If it bothers you, please don't do it. It's just as natural for that age of male to look, as it is for you to feed your baby. If it upsets you, then don't do it. It's your problem, not theirs.

  • @StormOfSwords You got a point there... she can't complain about some dude watching if she's taking them out in public, I suppose.

  • I am all for breastfeeding and in public as long as you cover up. I have been in a grocery store and there was a lady that was hanging out in the deli and whips out the self contained bottle with no cover up at all and I could not help but look. She got upset and let me know it was nature. Of course it is natural but cover that up because natural or not I do not want milk with my pizza... please. There are laws restricting breast feeding in some places and they are there for good reasons!

  • Actually, there are no laws in the US that restrict breastfeeding. In fact almost every state have laws that PROTECT the mother's right to breastfeed wherever she has the right to be. And every state has a law that forbids the government from labeling breastfeeding as indecent exposure.

  • have fun nursing in public? she thinks its a fun activity, like a sport??

  • @NrdsGonWildNewsCrew i was thinkin the same thing. as if women r gonna go outand say, "i think ill push the limits and breastfeed my baby in public because people think its wrong!"

  • People, it's just a boob. If you don't like it, you can look away.

  • Are you kidding me? The baby is EATING. How dare someone eat food in public? That is so disgusting! That mother is obviously doing it for the attention!

Never mind the fact that she is feeding her baby the healthiest food they can get! Never mind that bottles (even of expressed breast milk) are a hassle! Why should I have to pump every time before I go out just to make you comfortable? Even feeding the baby expressed breast milk doesn't give all the benefits of breastfeeding directly! Gah!

  • Hey, I agree; it's just another form of exhibitionism and I'll tell you why. There are lounges where you can go and spend quality time. You want people to look at you. People are naturally drawn to a babys cute face and you use this as an opportunity to draw attention to yourself. I can understand feeding at a friends house but not at a restaurant or other public places unless you cover over your breast so your breat and nipple arent showing. We know you have them so don't advertise.

  • I don't see anything wrong with breastfeeding in public as long as you cover up.

  • I swear some women just go on this stupid power trip. Not everyone wants to be sat at a table eating while a stranger is hanging herself out next to them. Natural or not it is invading other peoples space and could be just awkward as to endure someone swearing continually.

Have some consideration for others is all it takes. You can store your milk in a bottle or feed your baby before you leave the house. It is not that hard.

  • You have problems if you equate a child eating to masturbation!

  • I didn't equate it to that. You just changed my words. You have problems with butting into other peoples business. =/

  • You're right... I'll be ignorant from now and and feed my child an inferior source of nutrition because you're opinions matter more to me than my baby!

  • Again, you equated breastfeeding with vulgarity and sexuality. You need help :( Maybe you're one of those women who is insanely repressed sexually and thinks pleasure during sex is evil, and the human body is A NAUGHTIE NO-NO :O

  • I didn't say it was sexual. I just think that it should be PRIVATE between the mother and child, meaning to at least cover the babies head with a blanket while in public. And I assure you, I'm in no need of help. But you, who is a young man watching these videos does.

  • Pfffft lol, jesus christ how old are you? You obviously know NOTHING about debate. When you put something in the same category as something else, regardless of whether you compare the two or not, you slave-linked your arguments for one to the other.

And who's to say that I'm not an expectant father huh? THat thought ever cross your tiny mind?

I'm taking an anthro course on women & gender in modern society, ANTH 3380 if you must know. I'm simply sampling the vox populi as it were.

  • I'm 22 and have a child of my own. I do know stuff about debate, I'd just rather you leave me out of this stupid argument.

  • Then bow out.

  • People do not become offended or disgusted by women in skimpy tops exposing their breasts for SEXUAL purposes only! Why be offended by a woman nursing her baby so her child can EAT??? If Deseonfire or anyone else is uncomfortable, then put a blanket over YOUR face! Breastfeeding is NOT sexual!

  • You have the right to feed your child anywhere that you have the right to be. If I chose to feed my child in public then you can't do a thing about it so get over it. Why do you think there are laws saying so??? because it is natural. That is what a woman's body was designed to do. I sure don't tell the 350 lb woman in shorts and a tank top with fat rolls hangin out and cellulite and stretchmarks all over to cover up. I dont tell ugly people to cover up.I just dont sit there and stare at them.

  • why is she "feeding" a doll?

    mmm....odd?

  • I have breastfed all three of my children and it is so worth it. so if there are any new mothers out there, don't be put off by people's small minded and uneducated comments. And good luck

  • Just because you are comfortable with breastfeeding in public doesn't mean everybody else is. Learn to have a little more respect.

  • wow I find your comment so dissapointing! People like you are making it hard for breastfeeding mothers everywhere. Its really a shame.

  • Thanks for posting this statement: there is too much hypocrisy on this point. You can do it without the plastic doll, though.

  • I nursed both of my children and NOT once did ANYONE ever see my breasts. I was always sure to be covered. Yes, people were aware of what I was doing since my child's head was at my breast, however, there was no skin showing and I was respectful of others and their right to NOT see my breasts.

  • Yes, this is a good point. People are usually uncomfortable from seeing the breast, not the fact of breast feeding. I find it rude to breast feed out in public where there are little kids while your breast is just hanging out with nothing to cover it. I have nothing against breast feeding. But I believe that if you are out in public its better to put a blanket over your breast.

  • Yeah, because the human body is repulsive, perverted, and sick.

    *eye roll*

  • Also I think it is hilarious that you have a plastic doll in your hands. Probably because no sane man would mate with you.

  • You are absolutely horrible, please stop posting your videos on the internet.

  • a restroom??? are you out of your friggin' mind? do you have any idea how nasty and dirty a public restroom is??? would YOU want to eat YOUR lunch in the bathroom?? I friggin' think NOT!!!!

  • humans need to be exposed to germs to become immune to sickness.also, i wouldn't mind eating my lunch in a bathroom.

  • thank you...someone is not an idiot!!!!! i will be a new mother in oct...and the more and more i research the subject of breastfeeding the more comfortable i am becoming with the idea. thank you for your input!!!

  • Ok, to everyone that thinks breastfeeding in public is nasty, that's because you're the one being perverted and are the only one to automatically think of sexual thoughts. Yes, I do think women should cover themselves as much as possible, and not just let their breast hang out, but breastfeeding is not sexual. And only the perverts think that.

  • men don't normally think sexual thoughts when they see breasts they just see it and woosh there it goes, their pants are now uncomforatable.men don't see breasts and say"woot i see bobs i'mm going to get hard at some point."It is natural for men to be attracted to a womens naked body.

  • they arnt there for you to look at, they are there to feed a child

  • youre an ass

  • There is a big difference between masterbation, and breast feeding. You don't recieve pleasure when breast feeding. In fact, sometimes it is painful. (teeth)

  • It's WRONG to say that a nursing mother is only trying to expose herself. DO NOT say this mother is being slutty or immodest becuse she stops what she's doing to feed her child when hungry. If you expect a mother to become a hermit because her child has not been weaned yet, or expect her to cover her child while he eats, you need a reality check. That mother is not in the wrong, campaign against the person staring pervertedly or telling her that factory-made formula is more appropriate.

  • its disgusting people like some of the comments on ths video that make me not want to breast feed in public.

breasts are MADE for breast feeding, they are not MADE for people to oggle and stare at.

breasts are pretty much the same thing as baby bottles. but attatched to a body. i dont understand why people get so crazy about breasts. ...

  • im a male..i seen a women breastfeeding in public once, i never seen it as a big thing, just a baby having her feed..wen a new born wants her milk, they aint gonna wait..i would never see it as a problem, so ye if women wanna breastfeed in public well ye go ahead.

  • Thank you, it's nice to actually have people see it from the other point of view. I hope everyone reads your comment and realizes that they are being immature and stupid

  • well yea is the same... but doesn't matter that's ur point of view and is cool but you don't have to be so rude. Is just that makes me mad when people touch this subject.

  • ok so in that case u go to the washroom and eat there!!!

  • Breastfeeding should get the same respect from the public as women feeding their babies bottles, I have never heard someone ask a woman feeding her infant if she would like to go to the restroom and do that? I will continue to breastfeed my 2 month old son whenever and wherever he is hungry.

  • I can't think of anything wrong with the concept of beastfeeding your baby in public. Only the silly contemporary norms make beastfeeding unacceptable. Beastfeeding is perfectly natural, dummies!

I've seen a lot more striking events in public. Last week, for instance, I had just gotten into my truck at the Whole Foods Market in Santa Fe NM, when I spied a woman drop trou behind a minibus and take a pee, her german shepard watching. The store HAS a restroom!!! She could tie her dog up...

  • I know baby's need milk, but please if your in public place a blanket or towel over your breast and baby when feeding. Especially if your in a cafe etc. Other diners do not want to see your breast.

  • I will not but a blanket or towel over my child as he eats. I have breastfed mys on many places and no one even notices, and when they do I get comments on what a good job I am doing. Do you cover yourself with a blanket when you eat?

  • Maybe I am old fashioned in my ways but I know alot of people do not want to be eating their meals while trying NOT to look at a mother breastfeeding. Which is distracting. I don't mind if it is feeding it's just I don't want to see your breast while I am eating my meal. Oh and I know a lot of guys just love to sit there and ogle at your breast, they a maybe patronizing you when they say how good your doing.

When I have kids I will be placing a thin blanket to shield myself and bub.

  • No, to answer you I doubt the senior citizen couple were being sexual when they told me what a good mother I was for breastfeeding my son at the resturant we went to where I quietly fed my son in the booth while we ate some pancakes. And to answer the shield yourself, have you not seen nursing tops? I live in southern california and just today nursed my son at the beach on a blanket while my other children built a sandcastle, I doubt anyone even noticed. Also, trying not to look? just don't look.

  • It is called MODESTY. Those that breastfeed in public should use it.

  • why is this even in debate?

anyone who think brestfeeding in public is inappropriate has been brainwashed to think that,

    end of discussion.

  • hehehehe im all for breast feeding in public

like i mean who doesnt love titties????

  • its just FOOD...F O O D get that inside ur little brains,not SEX.....but FOOD

  • I support breastfeeding anywhere. For those who say it's inappropriate and think that mothers should either bottlefeed or go somewhere private or something, put yourselves in their shoes. Imagine your child is hungry and wants to eat NOW and you're at, say a restaurant or a mall or someplace. Some people might say "breastfeed in a bathroom". I've heard that from many people. Okay, so a baby should eat in the bathroom, eh? How'd you feel if YOU had to eat in the bathroom? It's dirty...

  • ...disgusting and full of germs. Why put a baby in a dirty bathroom...and to eat, no less? That's cruel and vile to put a baby through that, especially being so young without much defense against such things in a public bathroom. So, would you rather see a mother breastfeed in public or expose a baby to potentially life-threatening germs and bacteria? I know which one's the logic answer, but let's see how many of you choose the logic one.

  • Very, very good points Dac719 that is another perspective that people need to see. Well done for writing this :)

  • You're welcome, but I see we're up in debate against others who don't see it our way.

  • Yeah. Its innapropriate if the womans flappin her breasts around for everyone to see. BEcause there are young boys and married men around. BUT I think if its completely covered up and the woman is feeding her child, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with this. The sad part is. America is filled with perversion. Anything about a womans body is HOT or is someones fetish so its sad.

  • innappropriate? maybe only because our culture is reading into it sexually.

only people that are ignorant and view women only as sex objects and not mothers, etc, would view this as inappropriate.

  • I agree with you christina. Men are ingorant and shouldnt even be arguing with nursing mothers on this topic. I refuse to put my milk into a bottle and make my child drink it. I dont care if everyone is uncomfortable. my only concern is that my child is comfortable. You try putting a blanket over you head while you eat. not comfy.

  • Amen!

  • By the way chaps, that baby looks plastic.

  • Why would any breastfeeding mother want to put her natural milk in an unnatural bottle if it is not necessary (or smart).. Do you take your big mac out of the box that mcdonalds gives it to you in and put it on the trashcan to eat it? How stupid huh?

  • Bottles of breast milk have to be heated up for the baby before you feed it to them, which isn't always possible. Also babies sometimes drink a huge quantity of milk at a time so a bottle might not be sufficient for that.

  • yeah that arguement is valid! one day when you grow up you'll see or your infant will be fed melamine laced artificial formula with the same ingredients as a little debbie snack cake and will be just fine like we all are. I'm done ;)

  • .........wow so you nourish a baby with your genitals? peoples stupidity is absurd!
