Hopefully he does a few more interveiws in australia in the future. He is right the LAST COMMAND Sounds terrific now in 2011,with headphones, and i am talking about the vinyl.Finger's crossed he will one day sign my copy.:)
This lady is probably better looking but the mid 80s ruined her look...That period has the worst look. The idea was to cut all hair off and look really prep geeky..I remember 1985 everybody heavy tried compromising for heavy (except a few) and none of the guitar synthesizer shit lasted even Priest made turbo lover guitar synth..Blackie lawless is lying about all of them being studio musicians if they were they didn't get much work..Shit i'll bet they didn't play anything but rock metal..Bastards
Regardless of the on and off stage antics, Blackie is a consummate professional who made music with staying power. I know many bands achieved greater success, but W.A.S.P., in retrospect, might be one of the best U.S. bands of the 80s. I know I can't stop listening after 25 years, I'll never be WASPless.
@occtaviousrex It is a little weird doing that. But very typical in the 80s. Especially the early 80s. Oddly I find this more interesting then 95% of the brain dead, talentless, autotuned idiots today.
It took me,like,9 seconds to start laughing out loud,'cause first he turn his eyes straight to the cam, then he smiles a bit. Then the interviewer says "Hi Blackie!" in a kind of sissy way,and he answers "Howdy" with his cool voice!! ;D;D;D :P
It took me 9 seconds to start laughing out very loud xD I mean, first Blackie turn his eyes straight to the camera, then he smiles a bit...and the interviewer says;Hi Blackie!,in a kind of sissy way,and Blackie answers;Howdy, with his kind of dark voice! xDxDxD ;D;D;D
isnt it amazing! he literally predicted the future! rock turned so same-old-same-old that it got washed away ny grunge and he literally saw it coming. amazing!
Yep. I discovered WASP with the 'Last Command' album, and heard their first LP next, so at first I thought meh, it's ok. But over the years, those early songs became huge favourites. I Wanna Be Somebody & Love Machine are regulars for any compilation CD I make today. Not everyone likes 80s metal & hard rock, but for those of us that do, WASP will always be one of the best. I think it was their light-hearted tongue-in-cheek approach that set them apart. They were having fun, and you knew it!
i agree with yea man. i remember seeing the 1st record and i thought wut the hell is this. later in yrs abut '85 i bought and luved it. and inside the electric circus is awesome tooo...Craig
I would say that about most bands of that genre and time period unlike the heavy bands these days they seem kinda serious and have to be more extreme then the next band etc
@NocturnalVagabond Who does not like 80`s hard rock and heavy metal? Those fags who like faggot nirvana and other shitty deppresing/loser bands? Yea they cant relate to Real rock n roll, FUCK THEM!!!!

@ceri992 yeahhh thats very true but all those millions of people who got into grunge rock thought it was better than Glam Rock/ metal
