Pat you are absolutely DEAD WRONG! My spouse has 3 degrees, and a teaching cert and cannot even land a job at a quickie mart! Who is going to hire someone with three degrees to work at a quickie mart or such job? Ever heard of being over qualified? It strikes fear into the hearts of HR types...let alone the blatant discrimination v. the long term unemployed. He's been on interviews up and down the coast...where literally hundreds of applicants applied. Odds of placement are not good.
There are many jobs available as the unemployed are not looking hard enough! There is no such thing as I can not find a job! Those who have too much pride and think that they are too good to do some hard work, are too lazy! Washing dishes, scrubbing toilets, contruction work, working in fast food as there are many such jobs available.
I would say 35 to 40% are unemployed, and that's not including the private sector, who they don't account for....N.A.F.T.A., China, crooked oversized government, do any of these ring a bell for anyone? How about the central banking system, or foreign aid.....I love our country, but it's on the wrong track...HELL in a handbasket I tell ya, if we don't change it, the free world is over!
Jobs are gone! Some jobs will NEVER come back due to technology which is taking over, so that there is no need for the jobs that used to exist. Big buisnes's are outsourcing internationally to cut their costs. Adult children are moving back home with their Parents, Elderly parents are moving in with their Adult children, College is basically a joke, and has been for a long time now so good luck with that! Have a "tangible skill or talent" these are priceless and will always be in demand.
I am 70yrs. old. But if I were a young man today, I guess I would shit to realize I cannot find work. I really feel for the working man and woman. I can see the writing on the wall. It is going to get a whole lot worse! I hope you guys and gals are getting prepared. If you live in the city, you are doomed. If you are saving food, when the gangs come after your food you will starve. If you live in the country, you may have a chance. I wish I had the answer, but unfortunately, I don't. Good luck.

I do not need this type of article to "fire me up" because the results I get from my business do that. I get those results from making a decision and taking action. Being committed.
