from a stand point of evolution this is not a special leap forward. My ex wanted me to "Become a vampire" because there are several thing I can do that most people cannot. alter my visions focus, control individual muscle fibers, lift a small car, force my adrenalin to go out of control, have reactions to thing at very high speed, endure pain at a high level, and adapt to anything, control my pulse and body temp, though I have never trained in any regard.

In order for the mutations to qualify as evolution it has to show a lineage of decendents thatt are better than what came before or a change in the population that is benefiting from mutations. The HVER is showing only that RNA is recording viral exposure not that it is becoming immune.

This is less than likely to happen because we already eat other foods witch are pleantiful and full of nutriants. Blood alone doesn't have enough neutrients to sustain a human for very long. No but we are really close to each other. We have 98000 ERVs in our genome and you can trace that a long way back :)

Endogenous retrovirus is a very interesting research topic, I've seen different videos, and as I mentioned I did not know that virus RNA could be written in our DNA, I think that scientists are making a great effort to understand the way viruses interact with us.
