  • That was back when the first Playstation was coming out.

  • i think this is the first time i see a DOOM commercial.

  • wow I WANNA GET ONE AND GET ALIENS VS PREDATOR AND DOOM!!!!

  • 64 bits dammit!

  • kasumi ninja must have been mortal kombat for jaguar :p

  • 64 bit graphics, my ass!

My toaster put out better graphics!

  • @SystemEquation Hey, back then it was awesome because that's the best we could get in gaming... what do you expect from 25 year old technology? 25 years later and we are STILL using 64 bit computing! lol

  • no no no no i was not 64 bit! it was a 32 bit grafical prossesor thing leading to a 64bit thing

the nintendo 64 was really 64 bit.

  • I traded my Super Nes which was a graduation present from dad. I graduated high school a few months before 17. Man that was a bad deal, i think i played it a few times and missed out on a lot of SNES games.

  • This was back in the days when Sega and Nintendo (Playstation was still years away, let alone Xbox) were still the big two battleing it out in the games console market. Presumably the Jaguar was Atari's attempt to muscle in. Didn't work out though.

  • only the last commercial was good.

  • "you might not want to play it alone"

    ME- just don't play it

  • GREEN BITCH:Where did you learn to fly?

    ME:Superman 64.

    GREEN BITCH:Oh,nevermind

  • LMAO, that's Weasel from Saved by the Bell the New Class!

    LOL!!!

  • WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY? WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FLY?

  • All these commercials were pretty stupid except for the Doom one.

  • i wont do the math !

  • i almost wet myself every time they said that this console was good

  • 0:10 What??? That's pretty freaking messed up!

  • il parait que cette console était une véritable arnaque !

  • this ladies and gentleman was a REAL piece of SHIIIIIT!!!! 64 bits? what a freaking LIE.. and they were even pretending to compete with the N64 and the Play Station...

  • @justsupersteve Jaguar was out years before any of those sytems.

  • Without Joking.....That ninja is totally from Big Trouble In Little China !!!!

  • Lmao, the games suck so bad. Looks like 8 bit graphics.

  • 0:20 OMG he cum fire

  • OMG its Weasel from Saved by the bell. He's a lawyer now..

  • thats what she said

  • Yeah, video games that make you puke

  • 0:10 Hes Right

  • 0:09 3D games are a really good idea!!!

  • WHY THE FUCK DO PEOPLE CARE ABOUT GRAPHICS/

We need better games not better graphics.

  • @natixeboom Graphics like atari 2600?¿

  • @natixeboom *cough* nintendo *cough*

  • This system was clearly winning.

  • its acttualy just 2 32bit chips stuck together. derp

  • What misleading commercials :X

  • damn I miss the 90's

  • @7footballfanatic7 You're not the only one :(

  • Damn, commercials were crazy back in the day.

  • I had one of these for like 3 months. It was okay but nothing to write home about. It had a lack of games. But fuck it it was fun.

  • You got to admit, for 1993, these graphics were very competitive if not superior. I remember seeing the commercials on TV and being blown away. The one thing that left me scratching my head is to wonder why the heck this console was such a flop with such awesome graphics for the time.

  • the doom ad is the best...

  • Exactly Ben, it sucks!

    0.10

  • The Doom one was good, the others suck.

  • Can someone tell me HOW this system failed? Dayum.

  • @thejobloshow

    -Lack of 3rd party support

-How it was built made it hard to program games

-Some of the games didn't look cutting edge

-The controller had 3 buttons and a full 10 digit keypad, like some kind of phone.

-The SNES/Genesis were much more popular.

  • HOLY FUCK WHAT THE FUCK GUYS EVERYONE SHOULD BE TYPING IN CAPS AT HOW EXTREME THIS IS FUCKING SICK THIS SYSTEM IS IT BLEW UP MY TV WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO PLUG IT IN THATS RIGHT MY TV BLEW THE FUCK UP BEFORE THE CONNECTION WAS EVEN MADE BECAUSE OF THE EXTREEM AMOUNT OF EXTREME LIGHTNING THAT TRAVELED THROUGH THE SUPER CABLES IT EVEN FRIED A BIT OF MY FACE BUT NOW SOME TIME HAS PASSED AND IT MIRACULOUSLY MOSTLY HEALED PRAISE JESUS I MANAGE TO LIVE A NORMAL EXTREME LIFE DESPITE HIDEOUS DEFORMITY

  • REALLY GOOD CHICHI

  • Does he vomit into the camera? That's fucking intense

  • lol at AvP's framerate, the kid looks bored just playing it

  • The "bits" number is nothing more than the length of the CPU (DSP in the Jag case) registers. In modern GPU, stream processors are working with 32 bits numbers and the length and size of their registers vary greatly.

Xbox 360 uses a 64 bits CPU that contains two units (per core) working with 128 bits registers.

A CPU power is more about its architecture, its number of cores, processing units and frequency.

  • The Xbox 360 is 32 bit so I guess the Jaguar is twice as powerful. Wow, and to think the Jaguar came out in 1994! A whole 11 years before the Xbox 360.

  • @phrixil no xbox 360 is 128-bit

the jaguar aint rly 64 bit cuz it has 2 different 32-bit processors so that is why the games dont even look like 64-bit so the only true 64-bit system would be N64 (nintendo 64)

PS1 and sega saturn is 32-bit

  • You are hool

  • The Doom ad simply kicks ass.

  • I'm so glad we have DVR's now and don't have to sit through SHITTY commercials like these anymore!

    Yay!!!

  • I always wanted to buy a Sega Genesis and put two 32 bit adapters on it.... I WOULD BE THE BAD ASS 96 BIT MOTHER FUCKER!

  • lol!!!!!!!!! I remember this. this shit was not 64 bit(graphic wise). it was more like 28 bits(graphic wise).

  • lol what is he like around 20 and hes like MOMMM

  • @datascatter Yeah, maybe. When the SNES came out, nobody gave a damn about bits anymore. Also :

    PS3 = 64-bits

    Bits doesn't mean anything.

  • @kefkasakura

umm bits do matter, they tell you the amount of power the system is working with. they always go up times 2.

    8

    16

    32

    64

    128

    256(360, wii, ps3)

next up is 512 bit systems...can't wait. but I don't think they're going that high yet(probably not capable yet) they're probably gonna go to like 356 lol

  • - Bits doesn't mean power. They mean how much variables the system can take. As such, having more than 64-bit is just pointless. Unless you're going to do a RPG in which you can choose basically everything, there's no reason to go 128-bit.

    - Bits aren't linear, it's exponential. A 64-bit system isn't twice the 32-bit. You must compare 2^64 and 2^32. 64-bit is actually 4 294 967 296 times more than 32-bit.

And that's also why the Jaguar selling-point is actually meaningless, outdated and BS.

  • @THIZZAVELI I'm going to point out all of the errors most people make like you :

    - The number of bits doesn't mean a new generation. If that was the case, then our next-gen consoles would've been 256-bit. That doesn't even exist.

    - Bits doesn't always go up times two. The PS2 is 31-bit.

    - None of the consoles you've cited are 256-bit. PS3 and 360 = 64-bit. Wii = 32-bit.

  • the doom commercial at the end says the best doom ever wtf? the xbla version is way better than that shitty port!

  • What they really meant by 64 bit was that there were 64 bits of plastic inside the case, and not much else.

Alien vs. Predator looked good though.

  • Yay for the cheesy 90's!

  • Heh, I just got reminded of being younger and staying up till 2 a.m. I saw infomercials on the Jaguar and 3DO. Then I looked over at our NES, SNES, and Genesis and realized just how stupid the Jaguar and 3DO were.

  • @Knightphall The 3DO was awesome in its fail.

  • As powerful as the Jaguar was, look at what retro games we can download on our modern consoles. (Thinks of several SNES and Genesis games)

  • That kid has "90's" writen all over him.

  • Mcjakeqcool - 2 cool 4 school with 32 bit audio from Reason recorded on a Nokia 2700 camera and uploaded to youtube... DO THE MATH!

  • Hey calling everyone who has done the math and bought the Atari Jaguar do the math and check out the video for MC jakeqcool's single 2 cool 4 school on my profile an big it up only for da champ who yo get a cramp if yo catch up with him DJ Spikey Jeff who helped produce this track and make it a hit single and without who the icy fresh single is ready with beats so powerfull they'll make you puke would not be avalible to the world.

  • Man you guys know nothing of those days. I grew up in the 80's had the original 6'r Atari & NES. HS in early 90's had summer jobs to buy myself the Genesis, Snes. A buddy had an NES, Master sytem & TurboGraphics 16. Aanother bud had that crappy 3do.

I bought the Jaguar (94) They could do FPS games way better than any other console on the market in its day. Sega's FPS games were shit compared to Jaguar.

Alien vs predator WAS Awesome in its time.

Once Playstation & N64 came out is was over.

  • jaguer was over pricd for its time and it still sucks thank god i never played one of the old crappy systems

  • Somehow the nintendo 64 looked a bit better...

  • "ben?"

    *vomit*

Funny, that's exactly how I feel about the Atari Jaguar as well.

  • @StarFieldsCo where did you learn to be an asshole XD

  • @StarFieldsCo WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO BE AN ASSHOLE?

  • @StarFieldsCo WHERE DO YOU LEARN HOW TO SPAM? x9001

  • you can't tell what's on your back until you actually turn around.

just like in the fucking game!

  • "mom?"

    NO, IT'S A SHITTY GAME!

  • 'Good Wukk'

    I really loved Cybermorph

Doom was the nastiest on the Jaguar

you could blow demons way across the field in a bloody mess

    unlike other versions.

  • Hey! I'm play my Atari Jaguar in my Jaguar with my pet Jaguar while there is a Jaguar jet fighter flying above my head!

  • I Think they over did the commerical

  • where is most famous one.

  • THE LAST ONE WAS COOL.

  • DO THE MATH!

  • "Doom for the atari jaguar the best doom ever" ROFL!!!

  • @123doomdoom Doom was actually a good port expect it had no fucking sound WHAT THE FUCK>!

  • @TheRedCoke that is incorrect. It had sound effects, but no music. The of the best features of the game.

  • @123doomdoom its correct

  • I had a Jaguar for a while back then. The games I had were Alien vs Predator and Tempest 2000. They were awesome games at the time, but I soon realized the system was a dead end. I eventually sold it and bought the SNES packaged with Donkey Kong Country.

  • @SECgatorFAN HE IS A BOY!

  • Jaguar commercials are just downright distasteful. Are these really the folks that made such classy 2600 ads back in the 70's?

  • @Lupucillo Nah, most likely new folks that had no idea what they were doing.

  • That first commercial was pretty accurate

the Jaguar will make you throw up

  • Its main CPU was 16bit so all the games had to be coded in 16bit it only had one CPu that was 64bitt but that was a tiny chip that helped the 32bit graphics chip and the 16 bit processor.

  • Jaguar sucked. even though it was a 64 bit console, the graphics were really bad.The games sucked except Doom... Checkered Flag was the worst game EVER.

  • Atari broke my heart!

  • Where did you learn to fly?

  • oh yeah! doom commercial was the best

  • The Doom and AVP commercials were the best.

  • That Doom commercial was awesome.

  • Game adverts/commercials back in these days were so cool because they were so.... odd and random... these days they all try to be serious and epic. Give me old crazy game adverts any day :)

  • DO TEH MATH

no thanks i already know the NES is better, no fuckn need to use mah brain!

  • Now I know why Jaguar was a fail console...

  • So we had Puke, someones dead mother and 2 decent games.

Well done Atari, you certainly knew how to sell a system.

  • do the math, ok.........

    hmmmmmm,

    carry the one......

THE JAGUAR IS 8 TIMES BETTER THAN THE NES!

im gonna go beg my mom for one, oh wait the predator killed her!

  • @kingryan3000 Wasn't this supposed to beat the Nintendo 64?

  • @kingryan3000 atari jaguar better than the NES but it doesnt beat the nintendo 64 nintendo do the 64 better than that

  • lol.... 64 bits

  • i sure am glad i can escape hell if i bring a gun

  • mom????????????? XD

  • did he just say at 0:50 to "Blast and masturbate the demons?

  • @SniperStorm7 i checked and i think so

  • pause at 0:55

    LOLXDXDXDXD

  • 0:10

    Makes me wanna puke too!

  • Wouldn't mind getting one for my collection of video game systems....

  • I did the math. Atari + Jaguar = Piece of shit.

  • Activision had to be doing their commercials for sure...baaaaaaaaaarf!

  • Where did you learn to fly, Where did you learn to fly, He shoots fire out of his dick or is it a vagina. I call this game Silent Doom, just put on some Slayer and you are all set. It's more fun using a marine because you have a gun. If you know how said this, thumbs up :D

  • @Ponytrony I don't like AVGN...

  • @Ponytrony i don't like AVGN fanboys.

  • then??? YOU PUKE AT SHITTYNESS !

  • DO THE MATH its a 32 bit console!

  • That guy definatley learned how to fly

  • I don't get it, the PS is 32bit and has amazinggames. This has double the bits and the games are still like Genesis+Addon or Snes(with a really good chip) games

  • @2014DDay

its was not true 64bit, I remember they did some cheap trick like adding up all the bits to make a fake 64bit, it was also hard to program for and had a weak GPU, basically it was about 24bit

  • @probe26 Don't look at the bit width. Have a look on the CPU frequency. xo

  • where did you learn to fly XD

  • @DarkThunder150 "where did YOU learn to be an asshole!"

  • damn, this console blows

  • It might have been the best doom port to home consles if they putt in a soundtrack

  • the alien one was like a horror movie, especially that bit at the end

  • DUH BEST DOOOM EVERRR

  • 0:10

The kid is not barfing because the game is so real. He's throwing up because Cybermorph is such a putrid game.

Playing it can make anyone sick to their stomach. It's THAT bad.

  • cybermorph looks like shit

  • atari seems to like naming their consoles after cats

  • @xxchimakaraxx just like macs operateing systems... lol cos cats are cool :D

  • What's with the lad puking at the first commercial?

  • The only ones needing to do the Math was Atari themselves...one of the lamest consoles ever and the whole 64 bit bragging was just too funny...almost as bad as M2 and that 3d game boy crap.

  • Back when video game commercials were still good...

  • not 64 bit.....

  • If that's 64-bit, then I'm Britney Spears with a tight, clean pussy.

  • You ain't 64 bit, get the fuck out of here!

  • I miss over the top commercials like these... lol

  • The controler wouldn't have been so bad if it had just the d-pad, start, a, b, and c buttons along with x, y, and z buttons sand had gotten rid of the number pad on the bottom. Also better 3rd party support from compenies like Capcom and Midway would have helped.

  • J'avoue que les pubs sont excellentes =)

  • awsome

  • DooM Commercial is perfect epic

  • "Whoa! Duder blew chunks all over the screen! Gnarly, brau!" -the 5 kids who actually were influenced to buy the game by that commercial spot.

The Doom ad may not have advertised the best Doom ever (that sounds like an oxymoron, doesn't it?),but it was the best Doom ad ever!

  • It was only 32 bit dumbasses!

  • Somewhere in the 90's we learned that puke was not an attractive way to sell products.

  • @AsellusPrimus Amen! I really didn't see that one coming. The 3D puke, complete with all the little nibblets might not have been such a good idea for Atari. Also, some of the commercials were kind of disturbing. Who the hell did all their P.R.?

  • @AsellusPrimus I totally agree. That's something that's not for kids to see.

  • @AsellusPrimus I puke when I played that game, but for different reasons.

  • @AsellusPrimus LOL, the 90s were so rubbish. can't believe it looks so dated, doesn't seem like that long ago.

  • @stupidjunk878 The 90's was awesome, you fagtard.

  • The Jaguar was god awful, they just mashed 3 processors together to make a 64 bit system and the result of that made it confusing for programmers to make games to achieve, so that's why the Jag failed to be 64 bit console because it had shitty undeveloped games..except TEMPEST 2000 that game is the shit!!!

The lesson here is that graphics don't mean shit it's the gameplay that matters.

  • He seems quite happy for puking

  • Haha, the last one with "Alien" was good.

  • Jaguar was the biggest joke in the history of video games

  • Love the Doom commercial. That preacher's like an even more badass Uncle Phil.

  • Stuck wid my Nintendo... guess i just couldnt do the math...

  • heres a few things they could have done to save there company

    1. change there name from atari to somthing else the 'atari' name was tarnished

    2. they shouldnt have lied and said it was a 64 bit machine even if it was a 32 bit machine its still twice as powerful as the sega genesis whom was dominating at the time

    3. never should have made the cd attatchment it used to much resources

    4. had really good launch games.

5.redesign the controller to make it more compact and durable.

  • @JESSIEEDSELL21 It was a 64 bit console it was built differently from other systems they had 32 bits and then add other parts to some how come up with 64. The games didn't use the machines full capability. But yeah this thing was a train wreck. There is still some strange thing about that makes me love this system.

  • Haha. That's Weasel from the first season of Saved by the Bell: The New class in the first commercial.

    I can't believe I know that.

  • games are not about graphics but i have to admit the jaguar did not have good gameplay lol

  • 0:10 he threw up on the screen because of the horrible graphics and the controller was giving him tummy aches

  • doom commercial is Kinda Weird o.o that Guy saying HELL HELL!!!!!

  • it may have been a failure, but ithink its pretty neat to start collecting these retro consoles for nostalgiac purposes

  • when the kid threw up it was a PERFECT outlook on the system. PERFECT. I'm sure most kids threw up when they first played it, too.

  • @manbearpig74012 Gamers like you are assholes. You do not call boys boys and use the evil K word.

  • @Thekwordslayer

    lol?

  • Jaguar was 64? You kidding? Man, that couldn't have been. N64 looked 1,000 times better
