  • does it helps you in your acne scar???? my doc prescribe it for my scars.................

  • @thestupidmirror It is supposed to help scars yes. Personally I didn't see much of a difference in the 3 months I used it, but I did hear that was one of the benefits of Differin.

  • It's a petty amazing cream...can cause dryness, but for me at least, it didn't.

It is mediocre at getting rid of acne, but it works almost flawlessly at keeping it away.

  • Wear a high SPF sunscreen with this product! I got a sunburn from Hell just on my face because I was using Differin. Other than that, Differin was very good for treating my acne!

  • @PylesM11 Very good recommendation. I wear a high SPF everyday anyways, buut I know for some people who don't, it's not something they would think about. that's a good idea to let them know!

  • If anyone is having problems with dry skin while using differin, my routine is after I put it on, moisturize the area with a regular facial moisturizer and then cover the area with vaseline - it will STOP any type of dryness !

  • PLEASE be carefully when using differin use only a pea size bc I used more and my face is ichy and it has rashes

  • @boxerdogsrule10 Very good point boxerdogs. I should have mentioned that in my video. I myself haven't used anything bigger than a pea sized amount, but I am sure many people don't realize and do the same thing you did. thanks so much for the info!

  • hey i wanna ask if Differen worked? cz i have the annoying red scars that acne left on my face so i wanna dissapear all of them ive tryin the retin-a but im from Venezuela n i didnt find the exact name but they gave one that its the same the only difference is the name,, ive been using it for 5months n i really didnt notice any difference...so u think difference will work better to dissapear those scars?

  • @yasmindali29 It did work a bit for me, but in the end I had to stop using it because of how irritating it was on my skin. If you read the comments on my other Differin blog, I've answered alot of these questions there too. I used it for rouhgly 4 months too, and in the end I just wasn't getting the results I expected either. I didn't feel like the irritation and burning it gave me was worth the results, personally. I've heard that it works quite well for alot of people though. Hope that helps!

  • what kind of moisturizer did you use while you were using Differin?

  • @wwedivad96 I used two different ones while I was on it. When I was really dry I used one called Dormer 211 (I believe it's only found in Canada here) and when I was a little oilier I used the Clinique Dramaticaly Different Lotion. I love that Clinique stuff!

  • what is your cat breed ?

  • @iApplefreakk I think they're called Tuxedo cat's. I don't know if that's the exact breed name or what, but I do know that there is a calendar named that and it has cat's in it that look just like him. lol Random, I know.

  • @iApplefreakk is that also good for stretch marks

  • @elias69ful I've heard it recommended for that yep. I think it just helps the skin renew faster so this would be how it helps reduce and lighten the marks. You're doctor or dermatologist should be able to tell you how it works better. :)

  • you are beautiful.

  • @rrrrryyyyyooooo1 Aw, thanks! *blushes*

  • i like you

  • @TheKidsNoJoke lol Um, thanks. :P

  • Can you put some on a forming pimple as like a spot treatment for an important event? Do you think it would make it better or worse? :(

  • @GlassEyedDoll Hey Doll...you for sure can! Actually it works really well for that. I don't use Differin anymore myself, but I'll occasionally put it on a spot I have forming, and it does work super fast on oncoming pimples. Plus it doesn't take much to put on it and because Differin is meant to exfoliate the skin, it helps the area heal alot more quickly.

  • Does it make you brake out more?

  • @Sicily1617 It can for some people, yep. I myself didn't get any extra breakouts, and in fact it pretty much started clearing me up from day one. BUT you have to understand that's not usually typical with retinoids (what Differin is). Most people have a bit of an initial breakout that can last anywhere from a few weeks to the first 3 months. Just know that some people are lucky, and others aren't when it comes to getting a bad breakout. the only real way to know is to give it a try :)

  • i'm also on differin and only on day 4...i'M really hopin dat it works for my scars...i'm using nuetrogena with salisylic acid to wash my face..wat face wash do u use?

  • @d3mBOiz Oh cool, well I hope you don't have too many problems with it! You may want to just watch out for extra dryness while using this...I'm sure your Dr told you this, but some of the acne face washes are quite drying so I thought I'd just mention it to be sure! :)

I used to use Cetaphil Daily Wash but that ended up burning my skin, so I switched back to my original Clinique Liquid Mild soap that I started using a few months ago. My skin loves it much more with Differin. Anyways, good luck!

  • differin is the best!!! i been using it for about 2 months now and ur skin will get ALOT worse before it gets better but its all worth it in the end. my skin got so bad but the last few weeks its starting to settle down and i noticed its gettin rid of the scars i have a few small dent scars and its getting rid of them! it is great! my mum also know's a lady who has used it and she also said it got rid of all her acne scars (dents) and marks

  • @LisaKaella Wow, seriously?! I am so excited to hear how well it worked for that woman's scars. Even my dermatologist didn't think it would work that well on scarring or indents, so it's good to hear that it actually worked for someone. I'm almost at the month and a half mark and honestly my skin hasn't really gotten bad at all! I really think I'm miraculously one of those few cases where Differin started making things better right away. Woot! So how is your skin looking now after 2 months?

  • @LisaKaella So it works. I got some about a week ago and it makes my skin so dry. So i use it every other day. You think it will still work for me?

  • @thecheatofcoolness I definitely think you should keep going with it. I didn't see much change in the first few weeks (although yes my skin did get drier) but it's been a month and half now and I'm quite pleased! I would suggest putting a moisturizer on after you use the Differin, if you aren't already. I've heard both people that do and don't and honestly I think if your skin is dry, it's telling you it needs moisture. I'll be putting up my next update in a few days so stay tuned! :D

  • Interesting, never heard of this product. For moisturizer maybe try Clinique Even Better moisturizer. It has correcting formula for dark spot and some for acne scars. That on top of this differin may be a good combo. If you want just moisture maybe Clinique Dramatic different lotion. :) hope this helps.

  • OMG! I was prescribed that same thing! I got four samples, and plan to try Differin out for 4 weeks to see if it starts to improve. I have acne scars too, and acne as well. I'm 19, going to 20.. and want to get rid if it all COMPLETELY before I'm 21. Nothing special about that year, but it just gives me a goal date to hope for :P. I'm vlogging to :)

btw You're REALLY pretty and I know how you feel-- you just want to get rid of it.

    God Bless!

  • @MsLily009 Hey Lily! That's really cool that you are starting your Differin journey now to. I think that's such a great goal to set, especially to help keep you strong and your eye on the bigger picture. I completely understand treating acne can get really hard if it's taken day by day, so imagining yourself with clear skin in a year sounds great to keep you motivated! And thanks so much for the sweet compliment...you just totally made my day!! I'm off to check out your video's now :D

  • i got differin and how do you apply it to you? do you just pput it on? or do you use water too? or how?

  • Congrats on getting Differin too. I use mine only once a day in the evening. I'll wash my face and let it dry for maybe 20 minutes just to make sure there's no water on my skin (I heard this makes the Differin absorb faster and can make skin dryer in the long run) and then I put on the cream. Because I have skin on the combination side, I also put a moisturizer on top of the Differin once it's fully absorbed-maybe another 20 minute wait. It might be best to double check with your doc though!

  • nice vlog

    check mine out

  • @CityStreetShoes Thanks! :)

  • Why do you take this cream product, you do not need it!! or maybe it is the effect of the cream making me think you do not need it but I don't think this is the case!!!!!!

  • lol Well that's really sweet of you, but trust me, my skin has some serious scars and issues! I have makeup (foundation/powder) on in this video so that's probably why it's not noticeable, but mine are more of the indented marks too which means I need a stronger product like this to have a deeper effect on my skin. Thanks though :P

  • @rosemarylove86

Do you think the man should also wear the cream to hide my skin problems and that, or is it okay for the man (not me) to be natural? I don't want to spend the large amount of money on the beauty products!!

  • @DreadsideNubune Well I think that if you are worried about your skin it wouldn't hurt to go to your doctor/derm and at least ask for more information about Differin. If you do some internet searching on 'retinoids' there is alot of info out about them and how they can help acne/scarring/sun damage. I don't want to say yes for sure you need it, because well, I'm not a doctor and it is a decision you need to make for yourself. Hope this helps you!!
