  • looks really fun 40k game

  • no one plays lord of the rings at my gamesworkshop

  • lol.. are you high in this video?

  • how to make the water effect?

  • Wow nice!

  • A M A Z I N G ! ! !

  • i wish i was this good

  • Bloody superb! 5*

  • could u do a video on how to build the basics for a gaming bored, sorry if you already have but i dont see one :)?

  • lotr is my chosen hobby great job insparational

  • Another question please

i wont to begin making a 40k board but im not quite suure how big it should be i have about a 2000point army if that helps

    thanks

  • There are usually two sizes of tables people make for playing 40k ... either 4'x4' this would be good for 750 points to 1250 maybe maximum 1500 ... the 'standard' is 6'x4', all tournaments use this size table also ... if your talking about a display board then there is no standard (as far as I'm aware), it just depends on how much space you need to put your army on it

  • i trolled and gave you 5* lol.

  • It would be great watching a vid of you building a table like this.

  • I have 5 more 6x4 tables to finish off ... I'm sure I'll be able to film one or two of them ;-)

  • Dang man....love that table!

  • Thanks Natakue

  • Lotr is a fun game...

    Too bad it's fading away!

    Nice Table:)

  • Yeah thats what I thought ... but there has been several people talking about it this last week.

  • that is inspiring, must try make one someday, lovley piece. The Hobbit movie will be going into production soon and GW still have licence to produce miniatures for it ...its gona be all about lotr's again soon. take care Viv.

  • we've played a few games of Flames of War (15mm) but the skirmish games for 20mm Vietnam was cool too

  • <just trolling out of spite of your annotation :D

  • Troll ;-)

  • out local gw is starting to get back to lotr so this is like candy for me !

  • This table is more suited to the skirmish version. I dont think War of the Ring would work to well due to the movement trays etc.

  • that look awesome. you should try fantasy skirmish using the rules Song of Blades and Heroes. The best rules EVA! That table is Perfect for it.

  • Awesome, thanks for the tip ... havent heard of that ruleset before - will certainly check it out! Cheers

  • I like it! It gets me to think about my fantasy miniatures :(

  • Fantasy is a wonderful game ... there are lots of fantasy players, but still seems hard to get them together?

  • can you do a 40k board

  • I can. I'm hoping to start work on a city block that spreads of 4 6x4 tables ... fully detailed and fixed - the only thing I may do is allow the buildings facing to be changed, but the roads and sidewalk, canals etc will all be fixed

  • Nice stuff! I plan on making a desert board pretty soon, so your channel will definitively come in handy! :D

  • Ha! Perfect ... I also need to do the same. Modular boards are cool, but when you have a table with fixed scenery its like playing a map from a FPS, especially when playing skirmish games - you get to know the good spots, try to get to them quickly etc ... on a fully sculpted and contoured table everything becomes more 'real'

  • Haha man you keep entertaining me mate, in a good way. You're video's always make me smile as you seem a busy guy with many interests, haha.

Thanks for uploading a bunch of video's again, looking good.

    Take care!

  • Lovely! Thats so nice to hear, sometimes I wonder if the videos I upload will be 'acceptable' ... glad you like them

  • Yeah man,

I'm always looking out for your video's. They are unique because of your style, so keep up the great work. Totally different from other youtube channels plus, you at least cover other systems too, different styles, different types of boards and models etc and you make it all very personal.

    Keep it up!

  • yes, very good!! :)

  • building a bigger 6x4 soon! should be a hoot.

  • cool table man really cool

  • thanks!

  • Wow, first that awesome western themed table and now this! Not so much a terrain table as a piece of art. You know, there are plenty of talented people on youtube who know how to paint fantastic figures, but when it comes to playing surfaces for thoes great figures they'll compromise and use a simple felt mat or whatever. This is the sort of stuff you want to see thoes models on, something that wont insult the artistic integrity of the model - but enhance it. Keep up the fantastic work guys!

  • haha! exactly ... I've heard guys from our club say the play with tissue boxes and books! WTF.

  • wicked table

  • aye, cheers

  • Sweet board! I have never played on a board with so much effort put into it, hopefully some day!

    Cat/

  • Hi Cat - SOO many people spend HOURS painting their little plastic mens, yet when it comes to fighting a war they'll use books and green felt to make hill! Give your little mens some respect people, they have feelings too!

  • Loving that table Viv, thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks .. anytime my friend

  • Wow! It's funny how people can just do a show and tell of things and inspire so much. That table is just amazing.

  • its pretty sweet isn't it ... good fun to play on too!

  • That stuff is so sweet... Both an inspiration and a bummer..Finally made my first pieces ever and finished them up last night..Southwest Desert type inspiration and theyare by no means any good compared to the stuff I've seen by you, eqtemplar, terrainaholic, terranscapes, etc.. I can only hope to get better as I learn from guys like all of you..

    Thanks Viv

    Jim

  • Will be some tutorials on how I'll replicate this soon!

  • Amazing work, man. Truly beautiful.

  • I'll be doing a 6x4 in a similar style .. different grass affect though.
