This song is one of those golden moments we sometimes have only once in life. I wonder if Eric Carmen feel this way about this one. I've never heard anything else from him that came any closer. But this one is there side by side with the best of anything from that time. Beatles, Pink Floyd, you name it.
@Voyksed Actually, Wally Bryson wrote the lyrics and part of the music of the song, and Eric Carmen the other part of the music. I love the words to this song, one of my favorites ever, since I was 15 in the early 70's!
This song has a unique power to drive ourselves back in time and wondering to live again a lot of things...a time to dance together in the darkness of some room with our young friends...all of these this music brings to me...it is superb and unique!
It's amazing how can a song can touch someone so deep and this one does it to me. It really has the power to take me away on a trip into places I will never be able to explain. It really gives me the creep.
Great song. Eric Carmen has been blamed for "copying" ( plagiarism) Rachmaninoff´s tones. Who cares. If he did, so what. What a great guy and entertainer Eric is.
My all time favorite Raspberries song. It was their 1st release in May 1972 #86. If this song was played more often, i think it would have been a hit. I 1st heard it when i got the cassette around 1985 i think, it was in their greatest hits, i believe. & i loved it the 1st time i heard it. It sounds a little like "All By Myself".
this is what jtinha24 sayed in english .Thank you for this video. It is the most beautiful music heard q. I have 51 years and this song was part of my adolescence.

If I were to take my time to list my top 100 tunes of all time, this would easily be in the top 20 and probably top 10.

three hits?! Maybe, I stuffed myself on Fresh Raspberries when I got this album for Christmas, 1972, but the entire album has no bad song on it.
