This song is one of those golden moments we sometimes have only once in life. I wonder if Eric Carmen feel this way about this one. I've never heard anything else from him that came any closer. But this one is there side by side with the best of anything from that time. Beatles, Pink Floyd, you name it.

@Voyksed Actually, Wally Bryson wrote the lyrics and part of the music of the song, and Eric Carmen the other part of the music. I love the words to this song, one of my favorites ever, since I was 15 in the early 70's!

My all time favorite Raspberries song. It was their 1st release in May 1972 #86. If this song was played more often, i think it would have been a hit. I 1st heard it when i got the cassette around 1985 i think, it was in their greatest hits, i believe. & i loved it the 1st time i heard it. It sounds a little like "All By Myself".
