I suppose as a Brit I shouldn't care who wins US elections, but I still get depressed when religious nut cases, and right wing loonies get more influence over the world's only super-power.
It makes absolutely no difference whatsoever wether the people will vote or not.. and you know that far too well, Michael. There is no true Democracy in the world, much less so in USA with a political system consisting of one party with two fractions, lol
Fractions are what the Republican leaders and Joe Lieberman have. As in, a fraction of a soul (unless they already sold it to Exxon or Blue Cross Insurance.)
@JonDavidson : Yes, thank you for this correction. Things are pretty messed up, I really wonder what the solution will be to this Gordian knot and I'm also very curious to see how will the FED manage to keep the artificially created value of the dollar. It seems that we have tough times ahead, worldwide, unless, we think up some good, collective solution
Dennis for prez Michael for Vic prez ( or head of the Treasury) Oprah for the head of health education and welfare. Keep Hilary but shake her up a bit to be as open to change as she ought to be. Put Obama and his wife on the supreme court - they are lawyers - right?
Alan Greenspan (former Federal Reserve Chairman) now works for John Paulson's fund. Guess what John Paulson's fund's BIGGEST position is right now? GOLD. . Don't say you weren't told. Protect your families wealth. Visit: goldsave.co/
You simply cannot spend 2 years allowing the minority Republicans to run the government and at the 59th second of the 59th minute of the 11th hour all of a sudden say you have done great things or are going to do great things if given the chance. The Dems have already been given the chance twice in 2006 & 2008 and they have not done the job they were elected to do. They will lose next month and in 2012 there will be,unfortunately, a Republican resurgence. The blame will fall strictly on them.
Michael, this is a total facepalm. Why give the Democrats the benefit of the doubt? They don't care. It's representative, but for the corporations and the status quo. When they get the chance, that's exactly when they seize the opportunity to do nothing.
I'm sure Michael has read Noam Chomsky. Remember that this is just one party with two factions that have differences, but ultimately they carry on the wars, they carry on the corporate welfare.
Americans voted democrats in expecting some things. What things ? And how well have they been trying to meet those expectations ? I would hope it's an IN for a third party, but I think they've just spread an infection of apathy and cynicism.
RNC represents Americans. Unfortunately they define Americans as Global Corporations, Wall Street, and Rich Dudes...
So face it, we already lost America so Vote Repub/Tea and beg for forgiveness. Pray that you at least can live out your lfe, apologize to your children that you sold America to Global Corps & Wall Street.
@sciencemunk When you don't have a valid argument, attack the man personally. That's called an ad hominem and is the staple of the losing side of any debate. MM didn't ever personally own Haliburton stock. It has nothing to do with this video anyway.
Both parties suck right now, thus I approve of Ron Paul's idea of abolishing parties. However, many reps running this time are only reps to fight the existing status quo because they are forced to pick a party. I will vote for the person. It is sooooo important that people get to know the person.
@tburke64 I'm for dismantling the ruling Corporate Party in all its guises (Repub, Dem, Tea, Libertarian) but how can you abolish political parties in general? Would you outlaw all political organizing?
@SubmarinerAndroid I would not outlaw any person's right to organize. Simply remove the party affiliation of each candidate, thus removing the need for candidates to adhere to policies set forth by such parties. Candidates are individuals and should be judged on their own beliefs. It would effectively eliminate the left/right fight that distracts from real issues, in my honest opinion.
Thx 4 sharing what always happens in midTerm elections. If only people were aware of the cycle of flip flops that have ruined our social & ecnomic security that has led US down that path of RushRovian propoganda.... so THEM could smile in Greed.
Democrats, are you listening?
