@aidanday Hendrix wasn't even that great, the only reason people talk about him so much is because he was one of the first critically acclaimed black guitarists. Most of his music was just doped up dirty shredding. There are a few good songs, but saying he's the best guitaris in long time is just....wrong. This guy is better than him, and not bashing the guy but there are more people that are better than him. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan etc.

It's just index at 7th fret on A, then he uses his ring finger to barre 9th on G, B and E.

The chord at the end of fig. 2 is the same except it's 8 on the G and uses all four fingers.

If you can recognize the notes and accents and such its pretty easy, its hard to explain though.

it helps knowing the major scale parterns well for chords it does like A E and D sound well together because the are a part of that scale so say you heard a G chords in a song using the major scale you can work out the next chord could be a C or a D or other chords in that scale not sure how to work out single notes

Hi mate,

You can learn it from him, if you pick up a tab from echords or something then watch how he plays you can interpret the mistakes on the tab and learn it that way. Break it down in stages. The intro, get it nailed, learn how to do the finger changes best for urself. Move onto 2nd section - learn it really well as the main chorus part is just a funked up version of it.

I don't think it's actually old. I think it's just a Fender Strat with vintage finish. Custom shop paints them then fucks them up a little so that they look old. I think it's kinda cool. If you search on google images for "esp kh-2 vintage" You can see they have done that there too. That's Kirk Hammets stage guitar. Costs a fortune though :D
