  • anyone know anything I can do to strengthen my back? I can't do this, because my back is kind of weak-muscled. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

  • @prettypianoplayer100 dude,just do some abs exercises :)

  • this looks a lot like flipping the dog in Yoga

  • what is wrong with "free" classes here, be it Yoga, or whatever is that you do not have the benefit of an instructor spotting you and advising you what you are doing wrong to prevent injuries to soft tissues or joints! Is not all about money saving. It cost you more if you have to go to PT because of injuries. If you already have the benefit of classes with an instructor and want to complement, then these videos should be ok. I already know of one person going to therapy due to this video.

  • Where's the roda? Where's the berimbau?

I'm sorry but fly to Brazil if you want to learn Capoeira. Or try to find a school from a Brazilian teacher around your area. 90% of the videos in english in YouTube about Capoeira are pure crap. I'm sad seeing they take the culture away and distort it.

Otherwise you'll just end learning a bunch of moves, and won't understand what Capoeira is really about.

    Axé from Brazil.

  • que horror

  • Capoeira practicioners are often mentioning the word Axé(pronounced Ah-Shea), this word is heavy with meanings such as "energy", "force of nature" and is equivalent to the word Chi from ancient Oriental martial arts. Likewise, it has religious elements to it rooted in the African tribal doctrines, such as Candomblé and Quimbanda brought to Brazil by the slaves in the 1500s.Axé can be "felt" by practicing Capoeira, chanting its mantras, & furthering into a trance by the hypnotic sound of beribau.

  • Iam Brazilian and trust me, Capoeira is nothing more than a dance that the slaves used to do back in the old times of slavery. They say it was a martial art disguised as a dance so their owners couldn't punish them for practising it. I say it's bullshit. It's still just a dance, that's why you don't see Capoeira in Mixed Martial Arts competitions, because it just doesn't work. It's pure crap.

  • @advogadotribuna i saw a knockout with a Meia Lua de Compasso before. You can use it right and wreck shit with it.

  • aranhalives is completely correct, people. Capoeira is a culmination of customs from different enslaved African cultures and social influences in Brazil of the time. The game as we know it never existed in Africa until more recent times.

  • waht diff does it make where itfrom? not like its gonna be more effective if its from one place than it is from another _-_

  • sguardian your claim is completely false. there is absolutely no evidence that capoeira was practiced in africa before brazil. why is it that capoeira is all over brazil and almost nowhere in africa? you say it was used when they were at war and also at ceremonies? wrong.

  • I don't think there should be much debate as to it's origins. Capoeira may have become "Capoeira" in Brazil, but the lineage of movement began with Africans from Angola and the Congo region. Simply calling it "Brazilian" is not only inaccurate but also does a disservice to the individuals and culture that actually created the art. Especially considering that Brazil even outlawed it for decades and punished the Africans who practiced it.

  • the origin of capoeira is often a topic of debate, even mestre bimba and pastinha (the godfarthers of modern capoeira) had different opinions.

"Roots of the dance-fight-game by nestor capoeira is a wealth of info. on the topic

  • But the slaves were african.

  • Capoeria was started by the slaves in Brazil. Since they were not allowed to practice martial arts they disguised the art with what appeared to be a dance.

  • Capoeria is actually from africa. It was a form of martial arts practice by the men and women. It was used when they were at war and also at ceremonies.

  • @sguardian870 by what I know, capoeira regional, as we know the capoeira from brazil, is unique, cause its the only dance-fighting. the capoeira from africa (capoeira de angola) is completely different, its very slow and its only a dance, its not for fighting, ideed, we developed capoeira for fighting because of slavery. but I can be wrong, today its almost imposssible to be right about things.

  • very good!

  • Your name is advogado? Are u a lawyer?

  • its a nick name, most capoeirans have one

  • capoeiraists have nicknames, his is advogado which yes means lawyer.

  • Have you trained in capoeira before? I'm guessing you probably haven't..

  • it's an art form not a defense mechanism

  • Very good!

  • u r a graduado??!! ncc i want to reach ur lvl. i am yellow now(noob):P

  • it wasn't the strength it's just hard to keep your balance at first

  • WOW I JUST DID THAT FOR THE first TIME by watching this. THANKS!

  • i have a bad back, i tried to do bridge and i can do it for about 30 seconds, but next day my back will have killer pain, i really dont wanna mess up my back, is there anyway i can heal my back and start doing bridge again?

  • If you have a bad back then it's best to avoid bridge until you heal your back.

Things that can help you improve flexibility so you can get into the bridge without pain include stretching your hip flexors, stretching your upper abs, and doing myofacial release for your lats and rib cage on the foam roller.

All this is easy and if you do it daily for about 10-15 min. you will see a huge improvement pretty quickly. You may also want to consider strengthening your core with planks.

  • my back is already healed but whenever i work out my back the next day it will kill me, i think i worked out too hard on my spine from earlier bridges and messed up my back, i can do some small workouts and strengthen my back? am afraid my back will never heal. :(

  • Hi guys, I'm not an experienced capoeirista so could someone tell me if this guy is a good example to study?

  • I kept laughing at his name

  • odgigogaduu

  • grest vid bro kool stuff

  • Thanks this is very helpful

  • obrigaduuu

  • este é um bom filme.

sempre bom para praticar o básico

  • whatever all you people are weirdos, its a good basic lesson so shush haters go play WoW

  • I think capoeira is about "AXE " ( ah-SHEH), this guys is showing basic moves, this is a basic move, for people who is starting this tip is very useful.

Sorry that this guy doesn't have Tier 8 and hasn't cleared Uldar yet, but you know, this is not W.O.W , so the word "noob" has no meaning, while the hatred is unecesary, if you know about capoeira you know about the "axe" (positive energy)

  • and that makes you smart? wow... you are really dumb dude lol

Now post more "intelligent" post , I wanna laugh at you =)

  • lol yep

  • capoeira and axe, two completely differents things

  • no shit cherlot, you want a cockie?

  • fail. what were you even trying to say?

"no shit sherlock, you want a cookie?"

    learn to spell. >.>

  • phail , what you want a kooky?

  • stfu

  • Ta certo filho.....sei nada do Brasil.

  • strange is this video in net, since when capoira can be played like that. i thought teach capoeira like that, by video, was not allowed. Here in Bahia I'm a bit sure the capoeira mestre will not like to see nothing like that. As is said up there, capoeira is much more than moviment, is axe.

  • did u learn capoeira??

    i want to learn it!

    can u teach the theory??

You are supposed to be Advogado s Camarada and support him, not argue with him. Saludos Camarada

  • @maurotupi man i think its kinda stupid what u say,...why cannot it be teached like that??like any other martial art

  • @maurotupi You fail to understand that not everyone has access to a mestre. It's not like you can walk down the street & just find like 6 Mestre just waiting to teach someone how to do these moves. So what's the next best thing for those without money for lessons or acess to a friend who knows this.......Oh I don't know ....The internet & videos that teach can you. Might not be perfect, might not be 100% right but it still helps thoughs with an interest.

  • @IcyOne4884 i agree. im learning capoeira from these vids. i also know some taekwondo already, so that helps

  • you are the king man

  • at least his teaching us something he knows...

  • QUIEN TE AUTORIZO A ENSEÑAR CAPOEIRA? no seas idiota, hacer el ridiculo frente a miles de personas mmmm mal mal mal, con verte nomas que causas gracia

  • noob who fucking idiot? in capoeira we don´t use the word "noob"

  • aaaa srry u play runescape fucking idiot go to play pc

  • wft are you talking about?

the only "noob" her is you

  • cara o terceiro comentario é muito massa kkkkkk

  • é advogado por que so fala merda!! "sodadinho gringo mirim" deveria ser teo nome
