This is one of my favorite movie themes. Haunting. The music was written by Francis Lai and was the theme from the movie 'Emmanuel' starring Sylvia Kristel. Francis Lai is the same composer who wrote the themes ('Where Do I Begin' and 'Look Around and You'll Find Me There') for the movie 'Love Story' which starred Ryan O'Neal and Ali McGraw.'

I used to watch 'Gulong ng Palad' as a kid in the late 70s. But when I stumbled upon "Emmanulle 2" the movie on You Tube, I realized they just copied the theme song from that French movie starring Sylvia Kristel. I was trying to play it on guitar & I thought it sounded just like this TV soap. Magaling talaga tayong mga Pinoy sa panggagaya. Sana lang binigyan ng credit yung original composer. Nakakalungkot talaga na wala nang originality mga artists natin.

Basically the title means "wheel of fate" (fate in Tagalog is "kapalaran" from the root word "palad") the song simply suggest the idea that life is like a wheel sometimes ur UP sometimes ur Down and its fate there's nothing we can do about it...

well others argue that's its not fate its the individual whose responsible in attracting whats goin to happen in his/her life its called "law of attraction"...nyways that's another school of thought..what do u think?...
