where can i find the song that plays from 7:45 - 9:11?
Its an unreleased track but no one seems to have it at all. please help! i love this song and i think its so important since its the part that gave lelouch the unwavering resolve he needed. But apparently japan didnt include this in their soundtrack for some reason which makes no sense.
Yeah, it's kinda hard to top Flow when it comes to anime openings...
Bet that shower was pretty cold, eh Lelouch? Too bad I could give a shit about Shirley. If I could, maybe this would have worked better, but she has done nothing to make me like her at all.
@DocRavage I was around 18 when I first watched Code Geass through (this is maybe my third time) and similar time-frame for Evangelion and let me tell ya: I didn't shed a tear for Evangelion at any one point because A: It didn't hit the right strings for me and B: I FUCKING hated it. I get that Shinji and them have such horrible lives and everything but I always kept thinging GET OVER IT and knew that if Shinji just manned-up, tightened his belt and said fuck everything BEFORE the end well yeah.
Yeah, well Shinji tried manning up once. It got him mindraped. It's kind of hard to take things in stride when things get worse and worse with every single encounter, and you weren't too stable to begin with.
But anyway, back to Code Geass. I still can't find R2 subbed anywhere. It ain't on YouTube and the videos don't work on all my other sites. You know anywhere I can find it? If you do, PM please so the Bandai copyright Nazis won't find it. Thanks.
Alright, I got up off my bum ass and found and went through the rest of Code Geass myself. Not a single tear was shed, though to be fair, I'm not really an emotionally driven person. It didn't help how Lelouch got to the point where he was just as unlikeable as his adversary, but I found I was still able to root for Karen and Xing-Ke. They got a reaction out of me. I was practically screaming for Karen to kill Suzaku by the end, and that's rare for me. Pretty good show.
Wow dude, spoilers much? You could have been a bit more deliberately vague like I was when you wrote that. Anyhow, about Shirley, I think they wasted a lot of potential with her. Knowing who Lelouch was before most other people could have made an interesting dynamic, but that was sacrificed in the name of status quo, sadly...
@DocRavage Hm yeah but I think she would forgive him anyway because after...well you know...I thought she realized he did it out of his guilt not to protect himself and didn't hate him.

That doesn't mean that was the appropriate way for him to deal with it. He could have tried actually owning up to what he did and convincing her to join him before resorting to... that, or at least seeing what she would do. Then again, this is Lelouch we're talking about here; he's not quite so bright as the fandom thinks, I expect...
@DocRavage Indeed, ironically although Lelouch is indeed a genius he's extremely driven by his emotions and falters from intended plans or makes a stupid mistake if something hits him too hard. The situation with Euphie being another good example as because she appealed to him she actually changed his mind it was only...that tragic thing that made him have to go back to his original plan and make the best of it: all because he was so careless too: just like with Shirley.

I don't think Lelouch is so much a genius as he is a smart guy with no common sense. For instance, if I were him, I would have ordered Sayoko to wear the Zero suit at all times, putting a video feed and a microphone in the mask to issue commands from the safety of the school. God knows how much trouble that would have saved him...
@DocRavage I was under the impression that he had no idea who Sayoko really was for the longest time and he already had to use her to throw Kallen off so using a "you are my slave" order wouldn't work and Lelouch is much more of a "hands-on" person: he'd much rather be overseeing things himself than simply issuing orders from safety like some coward, not to mention that he's rather paranoid and likely couldn't trust anyone with anything unless he had absolute faith in them like with Ohgi etc
Um, Sayoko's just his maid, right? I didn't think there was anything else to her. And I think there's a pretty good chance he could trust her, seeing as she's pure Japanese. And there's a fine line between pragmatism and cowardice. Lelouch only seemed to go on the field because of his "king leading the troops" theory. With this method, he could have that and not be in any real danger. Another thing: I would have used the Geass on Euphemia to get her to break up the SAZ. Yeah...
@DocRavage Uh...no~ Sayoko isn't JUST his maid she's a lethal ninja-assassin that can fight against Jeremiah in R2 hand-to-hand and btb has impersonated Zero at least once I believe. As for the "king leading the troops" theory that also falls into what I just said, he figures that it would be best to lead by example rather than simply be a source of inspiration in the shadows. As for Euphie...remember Lelouch had a soft-spot for Euphie and he was also stumped out of desperation by the situation.
Yeah, I knew Sayoko was a ninja, but that had no bearing on Lelouch's trust for her. And of course, as Zero, She would be leading the Knights. Remember that a major point was that it didn't matter who wore the mask, as long as the symbol was there. He probably had awhile to figure out what to do with Euphie, and I thought of that pretty quickly. It would have had the same effect as what happened, minus people dying. Lulu's soft spot wasn't that big, considering what happened...
@DocRavage Ah but that would've been even harder to get to work because even if he commanded her to break her word on the SAZ thing imagine this: hundreds if not thousands of Japanese were at the stadium: many of reportedly were members of the Black Knights and several anti-Britannia leaders were there too. If she suddenly just went "Thank you for coming now go home because it was all a lie" you don't think there would've been riots and the Knights would have to act anyway?
Not necessarily. All he would have needed to do would be to have her give a justification. "Sorry, but the cost of creating the SAZ if far higher than originally projected, and would lead to the collapse of Area 11's economy, so unfortunately, it is beyond our reach." That would have likely cause some confusion among the Britannian leaders, but Zero could have gotten Diethard to fudge some numbers.

@DocRavage Hn that MIGHT work...much more effective than my complicated scheme of using captured Britannian Knightmares to cause a disturbance and cause enough distress that the SAZ could be considered too risky in the face of dissenters who would rather destroy all the Japanese than to let even the murderers of Prince Clovis be given shelter in a land that they conquered themselves.
Better yet, just have Euphemia say that she was conductuing a test group in private to see if Britannians and Japanese could live together, and it ended badly, so they didn't want to take that risk on a larger scale.
@DocRavage No that would take a horribly drastic bad turn on Lelouch's goal since his plan is in the end to have all nationalities be able to get along even within just a single nation like the USA in the real world and would make his final plans even harder to accomplish with the doubt that would put in people and ironical the SAZ would've accomplished a lot of Lelouch's plans but it would've been flawed which is why he had to stop it for that and his personal vendetta so I'm seeing few options
...Or it could have gone the other way and made the people realize that they couldn't make this dream happen because of the predjudice in themselves, and actually, you know, get around to changing that? And besides, it's not like anything I've said would have made things end up worse than what actually happened.
@DocRavage true but I know people well enough that the majority's ignorance wouldn't allow them to see that and it would only work if she AND Zero both announced that but then that would make Zero a prime target since at that moment the SAZ wouldn't have any grounds as a no-fire zone unless he arranged that with Euphie but then another "Orange" would happen but meh Euphie wasn't going to matter for much longer anyway so that's actually the cleanest way to solve it to me.
That's a rather cynical viewpoint to have, and it's probably correct, which is why I dislike Euphie. As dumb as most of the other characters can be, she seems to be the dumbest. I'm not sure what you meant by the second part of your post, but if all else failed, Zero could have just Geassed everyone into leaving peacefully.
@DocRavage Not really because then his ability to do so would be brought into question and simply the fact that he's Zero wouldn't cut it and if they did the Britannian Government could easily label each and every person their as being a sympathizer to Zero and would have a massive amount of survailance put in place and questions asked and not to once again mention that many of those people were likely Black Knights so it would bring him further into question with his own organization.
@DocRavage And what I meant by the latter half of that comment was like with what happened with Jeremiah when Lelouch merely called him "Orange" before ordering him to let him go and we all know what happened to Jerry.
I said "leaving peacefully", not "supporting Zero". It's a reasonable request from any politician; who wants a riot on their hands? Even if the power was discovered and called into question after that, I'm sure everyone would agree that it was a better decision than allowing a massacre to happen.
And if you meant Lelouch trying the "Orange" trick on Euphemia, I'm not sure what that would accomplish...
@DocRavage Very well but remember that people are fickle and would instantly assume that regardless of how reasonable the demand is an "enemy of the empire" shouldn't have that much sway over "their Eleven's" also if he used his Geass and the power was brought into question the distrust and hatred his power causes would cause the events of R2 to happen far too early and I didn't say he'd use the "Orange" trick on her the result would be the same with Euphie being a total victim and Lulu not want
The chances of his Geass being discovered are very low anyway. No one he used it on remembered it except Shirley and no one else seemed to notice it most of the time. And besides, the R2 stuff wouldn't happen, because they'd only know that Zero had the Geass, not Lelouch. And Euphie ends up the victim in all instances of this situation, so again, that doesn't matter.
@DocRavage Hm true but the fact that he at any time could have forced them to do something and they not being aware of it would make them uneasy if he elaborated on it but again I see no flaw in that...yeah alright then a lot of stuff could potentially go wrong but infinitely better than it actually did, however I fear that the plot would've gone forward far too slowly without the support the massacre brought to Zero's side.
@DocRavage You confused me at the end there are you referring to the SAZ situation? Because the Gawain was the only flight-capable unit back then aside from the Lancelot or were you talking about later?
Well anyway I've run out of topics to discuss concerning the SAZ and what actions he could've carried out but if you have any other situations in the series you'd like to point out to me feel free.
I was talking about one of the latter battles in R2. The one during the Zero Requiem, which was also pretty stupid if you ask me. That was him taking the easy way out. If Lelouch had really tried, he could have worked to stabilize all the territories under Britannian control and then dissolved the empire instead of resorting to doing what he did.
Again with the spoilers. I can say "Zero Requiem" because no one knows what that is yet, but you... not so much.
But, for that matter, I understand that they needed to have something dramatic to show us, and Lelouch making a lot of government reforms isn't that exciting. However, they still could have pulled it off by showing how Lelouch dealt with the displaced Britannians who declared war on him, only without his supporters being Geassed.
@DocRavage GAH~ I hate when I do that! But yeah that would've been an awesome series of battles but then it would've drawn out a little too much and a simple recap would've been good enough to cover the changes he made and then they could've gone into depth on how everyone moved on with their lives; they left a lot of the character's lives open to interpretation.
Actually, I believe it would have played out much the same with only a few differences: the Black Knights and Nunnaly may have taken Lelouch's side, but he still would have less supporters. Anyone who defected would likely have supported the Damocles. However, considering their policies, Lelouch would have seemed more and more like a good guy as time went on until he gained so many supporters that his victory was inevitable.
@DocRavage Exactly! And in the end he could have a happy ending with everyone he cares about safe and living their own lives, his sister living in the world he wanted for her and he could even let Kallen into his heart then.
It is so strange how despite all those good outcomes Lulu just seems to pick the hardest and most tragic path doesn't he?
Actually, I think that was rather in-character for Lelouch, owing up to his massive guilt complex. The ironic bit about it is that he didn't consider what anyone else wanted, which should make him even more guilty.
Or it was just thrown in by the writers as a cheap twist ending. Take your pick.
I do like how they resolved things between him and Kallen though. It showed he'd learned his lesson from Shirley.
@DocRavage Yeah it was sad how Kallen just couldn't let him go huh? Again Lulu's selfishness is his downfall. Personally I felt that they did it as a twist ending and also to spur this whole conspiracy thing everybody is on about (I'm with the group that says it's the cart driver) so that the series would continue to live on in massive quantities of Fanfiction (I've read a lot and quite a bit is very good and people have VERY impressive ways of carrying out the story differently)
Which is weird, because everything released afterwards has stated that the ending was exactly what it looked like. Interviews, guidebooks, a freakin' special edition DVD; they really went out of their way to shoot all the theories down. My take on it is: if Lelouch's final plan was really necessary, couldn't he have disguised C.C. to take the fall for him? That would explain a lot, and it would allow Lelouch to make sure his own plan worked.
@DocRavage Well I've never seen any of these interviews, guidebooks and special edition DVDs and most of the fans of the show simply refuse that and stick with their theories because it makes it more interesting anyway. Also you're plan of using C.C as a scapegoat once again would make sense if Lulu's death wasn't 100% realistic with him seeing his life flash before his eyes and everything and I doubt C.C would've cut her hair and gone through all the cosmetics for it anyway.
Teach Lloyd how to socialize properly? Don't bother. At this point, the best method of doing that would be a glass of cyanide and a couple of bullets.
OK, Lloyd was drugged in order to make him that obedient and eccentric. Either that or he was lobotomized to the point where he can only express happiness and will follow any command.
why is it that they always do the shot where the camera gets dirt on it when some one gets buried i mean not only are they in a wooden box they're dead even without the box they couldn't see.
First I was like... "Oh, COME ON people. The intro can't be that bad." And now... omigosh, I can't even explain my feelings for the new opening. It really DOES sound like someone going through puberty! Oh god, my ears Dx
7:30 Is it me or she almost try to convince him to f*** her ? because she is saying it when he is over here. in a the right stance to do it... and she even had : "Don't disappoint me"
Funily enough they copied death note again. (I Love both series not insulting either) 1st 12 episodes have best anime intro ever in code. In death note first intro AWSOME. In the second season i wanted to die after watching the opening. This one sucks just like that XD.
I think its funny cause the previous episode that one girl was getting off to the princess. I personally hate that chick. She sucks in later episodes. And im American but for Japanese amine the eng sub sound so much better anyone else agree. I hate the American version of this show lol.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this song!!!! aaaahhhh!!!! MYY EEAAARRRRSSSS III NNEEEEDDD FFFLLLOOOWW BBAAACCCKK
Suzaku is such a spineless brat. He doesn't do any thing besides whine and bitch, yet he still acts like a dog to the empire and continues to serve a government that regularly commits genocide like it's some casual activity. What a fucking loser.
@cookiesgood1 Erm, it's probably not an official language anymore so Brittannia isn't gonna call Japanese 'Elevenese'. The only recognized language is probably english.
@BloodyLily703 I would like to hear a proper critique as to why you do not like this new opening versus the previous one.
Personally I would agree with you but only on the counts that the first opening matched the tone of Code Geass perfectly and this new one is too much of a pure action oriented theme suited to nothing but action but considering the combat sections I find this theme at least partly fits Code Geass and I enjoy the song itself so please: what do you dislike about this theme?
@Gam3Junkie7 I love the song and the band itself, actually, but even though it fits with Code Geass somehow, I felt that the first opening fit much better.
I am also biased because FLOW is one of my favorite bands XD and I was upset that the theme changed.
I am more content now that season two features another FLOW song "World End" and also ALI PROJECT <3
@BloodyLily703 All good reasons and I too really love FLOW but I think it's unfair to be biased to simply prefer one group over the other without having technical reasons like: is the singer less impacting or is the guitarist not ripping your heart out with awesomeness or is the bass lacking presence etc. I find that the overall tone and rhythm of FLOW's COLORS matched Code Geass to a T so that's why I would prefer it but I enjoy a change of pace so I welcome the new one. Also: ALI PROJECT = win
Were the hell is part 2? All I see is part 1 and 3... o_O

DocRavage 5 months ago
@DocRavage Not really because then his ability to do so would be brought into question and simply the fact that he's Zero wouldn't cut it and if they did the Britannian Government could easily label each and every person their as being a sympathizer to Zero and would have a massive amount of survailance put in place and questions asked and not to once again mention that many of those people were likely Black Knights so it would bring him further into question with his own organization.
Gam3Junkie7 5 months ago
@DocRavage And what I meant by the latter half of that comment was like with what happened with Jeremiah when Lelouch merely called him "Orange" before ordering him to let him go and we all know what happened to Jerry.
Gam3Junkie7 5 months ago
@Gam3Junkie7
DocRavage 5 months ago
@DocRavage Very well but remember that people are fickle and would instantly assume that regardless of how reasonable the demand is an "enemy of the empire" shouldn't have that much sway over "their Eleven's" also if he used his Geass and the power was brought into question the distrust and hatred his power causes would cause the events of R2 to happen far too early and I didn't say he'd use the "Orange" trick on her the result would be the same with Euphie being a total victim and Lulu not want
Gam3Junkie7 5 months ago
@Gam3Junkie7
DocRavage 5 months ago
@DocRavage Hm true but the fact that he at any time could have forced them to do something and they not being aware of it would make them uneasy if he elaborated on it but again I see no flaw in that...yeah alright then a lot of stuff could potentially go wrong but infinitely better than it actually did, however I fear that the plot would've gone forward far too slowly without the support the massacre brought to Zero's side.
Gam3Junkie7 5 months ago
@Gam3Junkie7
Which, again, is why he should have gotten her to call the whole thing off. No matter how it happened, there'd be some level of mistrust in Britannia.
Another example of Lelouch being dumb: having his flying giant robot troops line up in Napoleonic formations. Because the sky is 2D, not 3D.
DocRavage 5 months ago
@DocRavage You confused me at the end there are you referring to the SAZ situation? Because the Gawain was the only flight-capable unit back then aside from the Lancelot or were you talking about later?
Well anyway I've run out of topics to discuss concerning the SAZ and what actions he could've carried out but if you have any other situations in the series you'd like to point out to me feel free.
Gam3Junkie7 5 months ago
@Gam3Junkie7
DocRavage 5 months ago

Gam3Junkie7 5 months ago
@Gam3Junkie7
DocRavage 5 months ago
@DocRavage GAH~ I hate when I do that! But yeah that would've been an awesome series of battles but then it would've drawn out a little too much and a simple recap would've been good enough to cover the changes he made and then they could've gone into depth on how everyone moved on with their lives; they left a lot of the character's lives open to interpretation.
Gam3Junkie7 5 months ago
@Gam3Junkie7
DocRavage 5 months ago
@DocRavage Exactly! And in the end he could have a happy ending with everyone he cares about safe and living their own lives, his sister living in the world he wanted for her and he could even let Kallen into his heart then.
It is so strange how despite all those good outcomes Lulu just seems to pick the hardest and most tragic path doesn't he?
Gam3Junkie7 5 months ago
@Gam3Junkie7
DocRavage 5 months ago
@DocRavage Yeah it was sad how Kallen just couldn't let him go huh? Again Lulu's selfishness is his downfall. Personally I felt that they did it as a twist ending and also to spur this whole conspiracy thing everybody is on about (I'm with the group that says it's the cart driver) so that the series would continue to live on in massive quantities of Fanfiction (I've read a lot and quite a bit is very good and people have VERY impressive ways of carrying out the story differently)
Gam3Junkie7 5 months ago
@Gam3Junkie7
DocRavage 5 months ago

CaptainAshSpearow 6 months ago
OK, Lloyd was drugged in order to make him that obedient and eccentric. Either that or he was lobotomized to the point where he can only express happiness and will follow any command.

@BloodyLily703 I like the video opening but the song just is so stupid and it doesn't match how the video moves, if that makes sense
sukiyocat5 1 year ago
@BloodyLily703 I would like to hear a proper critique as to why you do not like this new opening versus the previous one.
Personally I would agree with you but only on the counts that the first opening matched the tone of Code Geass perfectly and this new one is too much of a pure action oriented theme suited to nothing but action but considering the combat sections I find this theme at least partly fits Code Geass and I enjoy the song itself so please: what do you dislike about this theme?
Gam3Junkie7 5 months ago
@Gam3Junkie7 I love the song and the band itself, actually, but even though it fits with Code Geass somehow, I felt that the first opening fit much better.
I am also biased because FLOW is one of my favorite bands XD and I was upset that the theme changed.
I am more content now that season two features another FLOW song "World End" and also ALI PROJECT <3
BloodyLily703 5 months ago
@BloodyLily703 All good reasons and I too really love FLOW but I think it's unfair to be biased to simply prefer one group over the other without having technical reasons like: is the singer less impacting or is the guitarist not ripping your heart out with awesomeness or is the bass lacking presence etc. I find that the overall tone and rhythm of FLOW's COLORS matched Code Geass to a T so that's why I would prefer it but I enjoy a change of pace so I welcome the new one. Also: ALI PROJECT = win
