Note: Do not if u have painted the ship yet or not but there were various paint fomats for the SATURN V. The First Unmanned launched one had paint format and I think the other missions had different paint fomats on the outside of the SATURN V.
Reguardless, how did they come out b/c I have the moon landing kit and I'm thinking about getting the others. U should put the finished product on as a vid
@MrCupcakes76 'complaining'... Had to watch the whole thing and didn't hear 'complaints'. Heard critiques and comments, warnings to modelers about minor quality issues, possible ideas on how to improve some parts with scratch building, but no complaints. Heard me say I like the kit in the end. Thanks for watching.
Hmm. It was a tough search for me too. When I build this kit I will dig that link up. Sorry. Maybe some deeper searching... They aren't an obvious group.
I remember the old version of this kit. Revell really out did them selfs on this model. Someone must be making photo eche parts for this kit. When you finish with this kit put a 1/144 gundam kit to show its size reference.
I must have made about a dozen of the Airfix version of the Saturn V when I was a kid, but I always screwed-up painting the black panels that run along the length of the rocket; has any manufacturer of a Saturn V kit ever included decals of the black panels? Used to drive me nuts not being able to paint them on (I was a kid and had never heard of masking tape, lol...)
Not exactly 100 percent accurate, but well representative of Apollo and NASA's golden age, when all things seemed possible in space.
For your information Round 2 is releasing in first half 2010 the MPC "Pilgrim Observer", which I think is a re-pop. The kit is a sort of marriage of Apollo-era real space and 2001, which I thought would be right up your alley when I saw it on R2's 2010 catalog.
It was a golden era for certain when anything was possible and they were all flying by the seat of their pants. Learning so much later that it was all politcal was disheartening. But maybe that will be the impetus for us to get cracking again as the Chinese and Indians are nearing ready for their own moonbases -and it looks like they wanna stay! I say the more the merrier.
All the more reason for us to really push for Mars or even better, Ceres or Vespa!

Great kit.. I'm almost tempted!! I would have to build it straight out the box though.. :)

At most, I'd sand some ribs down and add a sty sheet panel if needed. The innaccuracies are way over my head.
