This would have been during grade 1, since the eclipse was happening at the same time school was ending for the day they actually kept everyone in the classroom with the windows covered so no one would look at the eclipse.

I remember this day, I was in Jr. High. We all went outside to see it and all we kept saying was "It looks like a Sonic ring". Most of the girls were scared to go outside like it was gonna attack them or something LOL.

i was able to witness this bcause our 4th grade teacher wants to use her new polarized sunglasses, while us students wer only using the used x-ray films and used camera films.. lol.....peace to my 4th grd teacher...but it was fun thou....... :-)

This is one of those events that become permanently recorded in your memory. I was an outdoor pool repair gut at the time and was wondering why it was getting dark in the middle of the day and it hit me that this was a solar eclipse, a memorable once-in-a-lifetime event.
