Respect to professional dart players. But this video shows no technique skills at all for throwing. Stand how you want. Hold dart how you want. Throw how you want (but most come back once and throw). That bit helped I come back and forth around 10 times as though it built momentum. Haha.

@68roondo I did check and Darren Parzo is in the AMERICAN National Darts Hall of Fame. Of course there are alot of players in there that we've never heard of. For what he was inducted I don't know. Only that it was as a player. Search for it and it lists all of the inductee history by year.

Being the current Youth National Champion of the United States i'm going to go ahead and throw in my two cents for this video. First off, compared to all the other jokes that try and instruct you on throwing darts this wasn't half bad. Secondly I go to every major US tournament on the east coast and have never heard either of these names anywhere. Lastly, to anyone who is looking for instruction on the proper way to throw darts, I believe the best thing you can do is just go out there and play.

Form looks good. Elbow up. You're using only your arm to throw the dart. The rest of your body remaining stationary.

The only time your elbow should move is during the last stage of release where it will naturally move up as your arm extends. Otherwise raising or lowering your elbow during your throw will lead to inconsistencies.

When it comes to throwing darts, the less random stuff your arm, shoulder, elbow and the rest of your body does, the better.

There is most definitely a proper technique involved. Which in no way rules out a large amount of individuality and variability in the details of the stance, grip, etc. This is a great instructional video for anyone who is serious about darts.

find the middle of the oche get your foot square on, line yourself up as a plum line to the bull and t20 pull back the arm and release the arm fully stick to it and practice, this will work.
