everyone, this is NOT a tutorial, it's simply a guide to show you how to do it.
I've only spotted to things wrong with the vid, 1. He doesn't actually look up when it says it should. 2. It says 'No further than 90 degrees', but his body is 45 degrees?
These aren't tutorials, they are guides. They are meant to show someone multiple angles so they can watch the movement. The little tid bits of information are just that, tid bits :)
That's quite amazing that the guy who shows the movement clearly doesn't follow his own instructions, and to say frankly his technique is far from beeing perfect. Really when you make a tutorial please at least get semi proficient in what you are about to teach others.
it's much closer to 90 than it is to 45, but yes there is some backwards movement involved. You don't really want to land any further back than where you took off, but you need to have a BIT of backwards movement to help get your rotation on its way.
a perfect standing back tuck you would land in the same spot you took off of..and it is WAY better to jump straight up..your tuck doesnt need backwards movement to get you around. jump straight UP and tuck hard, people can even do standing gainers so dont worry about not rotating enough
barely tucking... tuck harder, and dont look up, look forward, always

I know what he means but it's still wrong.
And no... I can't backflip.

@CHKNRandom3r
no further than 90degrees means you don't have to squat all the way down to get the maximum jump.

this is kind of hypocritical
the guy is definitely around 45 degrees with his knees on all the flips
blackboxxlying 4 years ago
He has gradually adjusted because he knows what he's doing, for people who don't, he is saying 90 degrees.

alright
thanks

Your tutorial and many others that I've seen say to jump straight up, but it looks more like a 45 degree angle. Is it 90 or 45? Nice backflip.
