Saw these guys barricade an upper floor of the Marriot hotel on Times Square in about '88 (87?) to play a guerilla gig on the last day of a huge music media and industry conference in New York. Hard to attract the attention of the jaded, harried media at these events. The rooms at the Marriot face an open atrium and the guys baricade the hallways with matresses, tv's etc. and middle class shock ensued. Sweet.

I saw them with singer after Wino in Atlanta in '93. Me and some friends/bandmates were looking through the paper for something-It was a Weds I think so we were not expecting much. I noticed Vitus were playing. We really thought it was just gonna be some lame goth band with the same name. We got there stoned out of our goards and low and behold it was the real fucking Saint Vitus!! There was no more than 15 people there. Reed from C.O.C. was there in a trance just like the rest of us. Good times
