My mare fakes lameness if I try to ride her around feeding time. She is very convincing too. She convinced my trainer to pull me off of her and cancel my lesson. Next day she was just fine.

Haha... I get that a lot. Just before I got her, she was cut rather badly inside her thigh, and it wasn't healed yet when I bought her. Plus she had a bow tendon and infected stitches in her knee. Everyone told me I'd bought a lame horse...

I bought my horse from a guy who bought it from a auction that is considered the worst auction, you walk in and the kill pen is right their. I road him right after the owner bought him as a trail horse that wouldn't do anything everyone told me he wouldn't jump.. now that I worked with him for about a year where jumping 3ft at schooling and 2"6 at shows and the person that told me not to buy him says he would buy him in an heart beat. It feels good doesn't it?! Haha

Thanks again for the wonderful comments on my horse... just to make things clear... I know she's not lame. I called her "so-called" lame only because everyone was saying I'd bought a lame horse because she was getting over an injury when I bought her. I bought her to prevent an underweight injured horse from going to auction. She's turned out beautifully...
