Yes, there are ONE Tsukihime anime. It called Shingetsutan Tsukihime. You see the anime's opening in this video. Ok, I know the Melty Blood have shit visual novel adaptation, but the anime is fairly good. It not try to tell the whole story, just highlight one part from the storyline. :)
@josh90301 The anime's not bad if you take it as a stand alone series. The problem comes in that it's an adaptation of the VN which is 100s times better. Of course, that's the case for pretty much every VN adaptation.

Except Willard. Trust me, if you think Twilight is bad, you do not want to watch Willard. The cat scene is especially the worst thing in cinema. There's also that god awful Power Stone anime. I would say more, but I've yet to endure a Uwe Boll.

By far one of my favorite animes. Haven't watched it in a very long time. I'm usually into bubbly and happy anime (i.e. Azumanga Daioh) but I just loved the darkness and seriousness of Tsukihime. Definitely one of the best.
though personally i hate twilight, it has brought vampire fiction back into the light, giving other vampire stories more viewing potential which is good, right?

Type Moon did well to craft a very creepy but interesting story. The ending was kinda...painful, but it left me wanting to know more so hey it was good for something right? I honestly hate type-moon now, after I read in wiki that this was a type-moon anime, brought me back to Fate/stay night and I'm like OH NO! Another empty ending where the main character loses the girl. Son of a bitch and it happened here too. This was just as painful. DAMN YOU Type-moon!
@fsuchino To be honest, not all endings of Type-moon are like Arc's ending or Saber's ending. There are happier (much happier) endings, and there are even sadder endings. The other endings of the visual novels (except two in Tsukihime, and one in FSN) are definitely much happier.

If you want an anime... then I supose you can try Kara no Kyoukai. But I advise you, is darker than both FSN and Tsukihime. It just end better
Or you can try the manga of Tsukihime. For what I know, the ending is happier than the anime.
don't bother with the novel lol, the fastest way to get the full effect of the story is to read the manga on mangafoxdotcom, it'll tell you everything you need to know heh, and its a million times better than this drivel, or atleast it'll make you think this is drivel in comparison, i know i did as i started with the anime as well years ago
Shingetsutan Tsukihime was decent, it just completely pales in comparison the the original Tsukihime. Quite a lot was lost in adaption decay. Hence, the meme "There is no Tsukihime anime"
Please read the visual novel first! I guarantee that you won't be sorry, it's one of the greatest things i have ever experienced.
I liked this anime up to episode 8, it was fairly decent, but still you have to have read the novel to understand major things that are not mentioned in the anime, there was alot of neglected information that had to be mentioned.

@StarAngelGirl0 is a pc game, got some 18+ material but it is part of the story and not meaningless fanservice. You can get the translation patch from "Mirror moon" site(just google mirror moon) and the game you can probably find it on the net to torrent. Cant give you links here, but can be found on hongfire or just google "eroge download" and search that site.
@narutofan9999 Maybe, but not so much like the games of Zyx or trabulance for exaple(most of them are a bif fanservice festival whit little story in the middle), that was what i wanted to say. If you read the 18+ scenes you will notice that nasu write them to be awefull in order to minimize the importance of those scenes. That is the reason why maybe they seem pretty random some times.
@TPOver9000 Agreed absolutely, with the exception of Kohaku's and Hisui's scenes; none of the others play an important role (plus Shiki goes from being a nice guy into a lustful animal.)
This opening is magical. Love it. I didn`t watch anime, because is with english dubbing and it`s sounds.... HORRIBLE! I have to wait for normal seiyuu. But the trailer is great.

Game = an absolute masterpiece (played all routes several times, while my favourite has always been Akiha..)

Akiha route was your favourite?, mine too until i played Kohaku arc. All Far side of the moon is IMO the best part of tsukihime.

Akiha > Kohaku > Arcueid > Hisui > Ciel, IMHO. Loved all but Ciel, so it's kinda hard to rank 'em. I found Ciel's route mediocre in comparison to the others - just didn't enjoy it as much. (Guess I just don't like Ciel that much... ;<)

don't bother with the novel lol, the fastest way to get the full effect of the story is to read the manga on mangafoxdotcom, it'll tell you everything you need to know heh, and its a million times better than this drivel, or atleast it'll make you think this is drivel in comparison, i know i did as i started with the anime as well years ago

Shingetsutan Tsukihime was decent, it just completely pales in comparison the the original Tsukihime. Quite a lot was lost in adaption decay. Hence, the meme "There is no Tsukihime anime"

Please read the visual novel first! I guarantee that you won't be sorry, it's one of the greatest things i have ever experienced.
I liked this anime up to episode 8, it was fairly decent, but still you have to have read the novel to understand major things that are not mentioned in the anime, there was alot of neglected information that had to be mentioned.

I hate how they made. Arcueid route's end even more depressing that it was already in the novel :S

Arcueids route wasn't depressing. Akihas was. Maybe Arcueids true ending was a little bit sad, but at least she DID get a good ending.

Completely agree, perhaps i exaggerated a bit because im a sucker for Arcueid, but still, they made the ending of this one wrose than the true ending in the game. And i agree about Akiha route. Hisui was very sad aswell, perhaps sadest for me :F

@StarAngelGirl0 NO! Dont watch the anime, play the game. This story is one of the best ones out there, but the anime is just... is just bad. Do yourself a favor donwload the game and read it (is a visual novel) After all, there is a saying in the internet , that "There is no Tsukihime anime". Dont spoil a great story whit a mediocre anime.

You can get the translation patch from "Mirror moon" site(just google mirror moon) and the game you can probably find it on the net to torrent. Cant give you links here, but can be found on hongfire or just google "eroge download" and search that site.

@narutofan9999 Maybe, but not so much like the games of Zyx or trabulance for exaple(most of them are a bif fanservice festival whit little story in the middle), that was what i wanted to say. If you read the 18+ scenes you will notice that nasu write them to be awefull in order to minimize the importance of those scenes. That is the reason why maybe they seem pretty random some times.

This opening is magical. Love it. I didn`t watch anime, because is with english dubbing and it`s sounds.... HORRIBLE! I have to wait for normal seiyuu. But the trailer is great.

@GrimmShadow lets just say that if you compare it to the visual novel youd understand the storys just beter in the visual novel not to mention theres some 5 routes for each of the heroines kinna wish theyd remake the anime and just stick with one heroines route than tring to mix a couple of them and failing at it.

@hazerddex if you really dont know, it is a internet joke. The game is one of the best visual novels ever,is a masterpiece, and the anime is so bad that the general consensum of every fan of the game was that they will not acknowledge the existence of the anime, so the "there is no tsukihime anime" joke was born, dont really know why since there is no tsukihime anime from the beginning.

@TPOver9000 While I won't deny that the anime is ridiculously lame in comparison to the game - I'd say the anime is still a bit underrated if taken for what it is.
Game = an absolute masterpiece (played all routes several times, while my favourite has always been Akiha..)
Anime = mediocre in execution and worthless if you've played the game already, yet good for people who haven't played the game yet, but who'll be inspired to do so after watching the show.

@Unholae Yes but despite of the huge gaps in the storyline that the anime has, if you play the game after and not before, is just not the same. I guess that famous ¨there is not tsukihime anime" is just another way to say, remake the dam thing.
Akiha route was your favourite?, mine too until i played Kohaku arc. All Far side of the moon is IMO the best part of tsukihime.

And yeah, I guess it's just the fact I prefer Akiha the most out of the characters. And both of the routes were...sad. Actually, Kohaku comes second for me.
Akiha > Kohaku > Arcueid > Hisui > Ciel, IMHO. Loved all but Ciel, so it's kinda hard to rank 'em. I found Ciel's route mediocre in comparison to the others - just didn't enjoy it as much. (Guess I just don't like Ciel that much... ;<)
