You might as well buy a better game like half life 2, unreal tournament 2004, or something and learn to use the map editor, cause that's all that this program is, a map editor.
The prices are set by us, if you feel they are too expensive. You're welcome to learn how to make your own. Perhaps then you'll understand what goes into this sort of thing.
Artists use a range of programs. The important questions are "Which output formats do I need?" and "Does my software support it?"
Typical formats are DDS, and .x using in conjunction with the free conversion tools we provide on the FPS Creator website.
P.S. As far as I'm aware, Maya costs around £599 upwards. You're welcome to pay that instead of £10.99 if you like. It's only 54.50 times more expensive :)
I'm not saying that your packs aren't good, I mean they're amazing, its just I have really good ideas for some characters, and I wanted to see if I could make my own.
We're always looking for new content on our Game Creators store system. If you have great idea's, and put them into practice you could sell them online though us. Please note though, we can only review finished items, we make no promises until we've seen our artists work.
In the meantime visit the FPS Creator website, there's a couple of free tools there, Entity Maker and Segment editor with a few video tutorials to get you started.

Okay, you're right I guess I underestimated the power of sprites and how realistic they are.

I disagree with the price tag it looks like it should be £5.99 instead of £10.99.

Personally, I WOULD like to make my own characters. What software is used, something like Maya, Solid Edge, etc.?
