  • "Bad ACC Refs" is redundant ;-)

  • Press F3 repeatedly for RIVERDANCE!!!

  • @mfhokie Well, just press 3, not F3

  • Lol, that was out of his control like 10 feet before he broke the plane.

  • Does it even matter? Its just style points anyway. But, dude all you ever put on Youtube is 'bad calls against GT'. Do you have anything else to contribute?

  • of course it wouldn't matter because the call went the Hokies' way. This was truly a bad call. I was there that night and the replay clearly showed it was a fumble. But at that time replay wasn't used by the refs. Anyways, the guy who posted this is a GT fan, so he's going to put up GT stuff...DUH!!! The question should be do you have anything to contribute for the Hokies?

  • EVERYTHING he posts on youtube is about "Bad ACC Refs".....get over it. The refs aren't out to get GT.

  • Look, I didn't say that the refs are out to get GT. I'm just saying that this is an example of at truly bad call that benefited the Hokies that night and GT got the raw end of the deal. If the refs are bad (which they are) then they are bad. I'm a GT grad and fan and I have seen some horrid calls on other teams as well, including VT.

  • @roanokehokie He's a fan of a Georgia football team. He has some delusion that GT's triple option garners hatred from the refs, which is why they were able to win a close 2009 ACCCG. Makes sense, doesn't it?

  • well that was a game changing play we could have drove down the field quickly an tied the game

  • GT gets bulled all the time

  • Wow, Tech got away with alot.

  • ACC refs are horrible. Why do most of the bad calls in the ACC have Georgia Tech in them?

  • Two reasons why all these bad calls have GT in them:

    1) There is a conspiracy in the ACC office against GT (has existed ever since Bobby Ross was hired)

    2) I am only recording GT games (though I did record the MNC game this year looking for goofs by Ron Cherry and Co.)

If there was ever a bad call that went GT;s way, I would include it here - it just hasn't happened yet ....

  • no need to explain anything. He fumbled around the 2 yard line. Defiantly at the 1 yard line so therefore there should of been no TD.

  • I am a hokie fan but that was a terrible call

  • Damn. If you look back, GT is ahead in the 4th quarter almost every time we play each other, and we always screw it up and VT manages to take up on our mistakes to win. oh well. Nerd Bowl 2009, go Jackets!

  • ouch terrible call....dang that sucks for gt. Im a vt fan so i dont mind lol, but that still is a real awful call. I think we won the ACC that year, and also in 2007, and oh wait...also in 2008.

  • The player who was ejected was ejected for flipping off the crowd. Thug (not on the Vick level, but who could be?) is correct for him.

  • Ok GT you know damn well it was a very close call. It was ruled a TD and the replay needs conclusive evidence to be overturned. The replay didn't show it and you know it.

  • The VPI player lost the ball at the 2 yard line. The ACC did not have "instant replay" in 2004. The MONDAY AFTER THIS GAME the ACC announced that they were putting it in for 2005. The correct call here was "touchback". ACC refs are not inept and that is the point of these videos (not that they are out to screw GT even if they are).

The delay before the PAT was the refs explaining to Beamer why one of his thug players had just been ejected from the game - hence Beamer's look.

  • I never noticed how many of these bad call videos have GT in them. They really get the short end of the stick.

  • terrible call, but if he hadnt of started blowin the whistle, the other VT guy would of done more to get the ball and most likely would have gotten it

  • yeah, i would say that was a touch back. By rule if a fumble should occur in the end zone the player that recovers the football is to stand up with the football and give it to the ref. If the player is on the ground, the player is to hold up the football and show the nearest ref that he has control of the ball.

  • yeah wow, he lost the ball 4 yards from the endzone, I still can't decide which refs are worse, the Big East or the ACC.

  • yes, that was terrible. sometimes you wonder what they are looking at.

  • we blew this game but i remember slowly getting madder and madder and then getting really torqued off that this wasnt called a fumble there was a ref discussion at that point the announcers start talking about how they were most likely discussing the td but no the idiot refs were discussing whether or not tech had a unsportmanlike penalty. could not believe it
